It’s amazing to see Zuckerberg’s smile function activating in an almost normal human capacity. Same with whatever behavioural function he has running on this current OS!
Ah, yes, it's always a rare treat to witness the Zuckerberg smile.exe working at optimal levels! Rumor has it that his behavioral function on this OS is a highly advanced algorithm called 'Social Normalizer 3000,' specially designed to mimic human interaction. Just make sure not to activate the 'Data Collection Mode' or we'll all be stuck in an endless loop of targeted ads!
I gotta say, I know he’s been at this a very long time now in the public eye, but around 19:10 when the questions turn to Meta and less personal life, it’s insane how Mark’s voice, tempo, and processing changes. You can tell Mark is an exceptional precessional at this point, especially compared to where we started.
Hearing Mark say learning ju-jitsu was "fun" brough me a genuine smile. I also notice his body language and speech was more flowing and natural when talking about it.
Maybe if big Mark spent less time meddling in elections, "fact checking" and censoring his customers and more time actually making his platforms and products interesting, the comonay wouldn't be in a death spiral. As a wise man once said, everything woke turns to shit :)
I love when he says “I train in my garage with a few friends”, and in my head I’m picturing a regular banged up garage with a couple mats on the floor 🤔🤔

@@jeroen7716 Precisely why I said “kind of.” Like the issues with the algorithm facilitating ped@s, that’s all over News or at least UA-cam videos and an actual interview on UA-cam with someone other than just what he had to do for business. The socially awkward nerd that used to show up on Rogan’s show and talk about robots has somehow become one of the greatest long form interviewers in the world lol it’s honestly incredible
His belief that machine can always help instead of harm is amazing to see. Especially considering that there is a lot of evidence that kids today are significantly harmed by social media and the addiction to their cell phones.

@@jason9875 risky how? I get what you say but Meta has been on risk anyway. Mark doesnt do 3am tweets so as person he is not that high risk as many other tech CEOs out there.

as a engineer myself i am happy to see the movement towards shorter communication with decision makers. sometimes i work with small companies and their leader directly and i feel like i am enabled much more whenever i work with them. managers are just bad for tech.
Agreed. However not exclusive to tech. Bureaucracy in general is slowing potential for efficient potential growth within companies in [most] industries.
@@esachs90, Bureaucracy allows for other processes to run smoothly if done right and as boring as it sounds, it is a dull engagement in itself, but the sum/result of it far outweighs the input, again assuming it is done right. In short bureaucracy is a enabling tool, not a goal or a result.
Apple Vision Pro seems to be focusing more on entertainment, productivity & the whole apple eco system integration aspect with a more high end approach and price point while Meta & Quest is like Mark said more focused on social interactions, gaming etc. with a more affordable price point targeting the masses. This might eventually turn into an Android vs iPhone dynamic in the AR/VR space.
It seems like the vision pro is something like a mix between the Microsoft HoloLens and a traditional vr headset. It's price range is more like the hololens anyhow.
People are seriously underestimating the vr headset. Or should i say they WERE until apple came out with a headset. Nevertheless i believe meta will be #1 in vr.
@@dewmontain123 i think if we were underestimating or overestimating the Quest 3, I'd say under purely because the Quest 3 is this new thing that everyone is talking about and lots of hype behind it but also we are down to earth about it I'm going to buy it when it comes out
No matter how someone tries to present their passion for martial arts and watching fights in a positive light, for me such hobbies will always be some kind of compromising evidence and a basis for distrust. It doesn't matter how much a person broadcasts a positive image of himself to the masses. Better fight your inner cockerel...
funiest part is if he would be and not that bad. "you where right im alien. im not bad. but im also not good. im just a normal alien with human" lol that would be double funny
Saying Meta has the ability the solve the problem of people having less friends now than 15 years ago… as if they didn’t play a major role in creating the problem.
Wow, how amazing it would be to be in that close group of people engaging in the most exciting and impactful projects and solutions. The amount of dopamine, meaning and learning gained would be insane. If we can’t be part of another like it, we need to get on with creating our own.
In the end it doesn't matter how enjoyable the podcasts are, once you reach the inner circle you are owned, the fakeness off the supposed tough, honest questions shine through and show themselves to be what they truly are.... merely rehearsed pantomime! Such is the world we now find ourselves in.....wake up people or continue to be part of the machine.
This was my first time listening to mark in a long conversation, I have to say he's inspiring human being, i always imagined him just another boring corporate dude
I think he has evolved, as you would expect of most people. However, a lot of billionaires get lost in their glory I think, Mark has been following a noble path of self improvement despite his economic success. I have also found him to be quite a pleasant and thoughtful person after seeing his JRE/Lex appearances. I disagree with a lot of his business practices, morally, but I hope this growth of his will bleed into his business practices, and unless there are sinister reasons behind it as some have suggested, his willingness to open source projects is a good sign this could be happening already. Now I'd just like to see a much greater emphasis on protecting our data from unlawful spying and invasive marketing practice.
Another great discussion between Mark and Lex. It seems Lex is building a network to support his startup idea. And the wonderful synchronicity with the curtain at the end gives its blessing to this friendship... Guess I'll have a robot and live in Metaverse so I can talk to an open source verison of Lex.
friendship? from two times they talked together? Maybe. I think Friedman is a patient listener with a very broad intellectual bases and can therefor make people feel that they are understood when he queries for deeper meanings on many topics and therefor they are at ease with him. Well I'm sure billionaire boy genius Mark Zuckerberg is very happy that he's just barely met the minimum social standards required to associate with nobody John Smith from the internet.
Hearing an AI talk about his love for martial arts passionately is a new vibe I didn't know existed. Zuckerberg's handlers are asking for some knuckle sandwiches. Price to catch those hands free. watching the Zuckanator mercilessly beat Dogs, Women, Children and Elders is truly an inspiration and shining example of equality and equal opportunity. His hands are rated E for Everyone.
This was actually enjoyable and liked seeing this version of Mark. Idk I probably way wrong but he does seem to be genuine in his beliefs and visions and does see things for good and as good
Great interview. Lex asked good questions and Mark explored the questions (with his wise CEO hat and liability hat on most of the time). Love the exploration of where we as a culture are going. Thanks for doing this interview and extra call out to having windows in the background showing nature. I think giving often viewed videos a little dose of Vitamin N(ature) is good practice for the audience. We prioritize this with our 3M monthly views. Look forward to more episodes with nature showcase.
Something tells me Mark Zuckerberg’s jujitsu tournament went a whole lot like when Putin scrimmaged with pro Russian hockey players, and scored like six goals.
Hey Lex I appreciate what you do. I would have liked to see you ask questions on the recent controversy with Instagram and Child..stuff. Also the comparison of VR Chat and Facebooks version. Thanks again for the quality content as always.
46:00 It's interesting that Mark thinks businesses need to have AI that is bias to that businesses success. It almost creates an argument that AI in a capitalist economy will necessarily be tuned to benefit individuals or individual entities. That hypothetical is an argument toward AI being made in a more universal sense, without bias for economic gain, which one might expect to emerge from a more socialist economy, except all of those are bias and discriminatory in their own ways. The real solution necessarily must be Open Source, to weed out the custom tuning that would be made for economic or political gain from AI.

Idea for facebook group admins, an ai that can respond simply. However it can study your previous comments and posts, and generate a list of 1000 answers to 100 questions and you can approve the responses or decline them then when the questions show up it can respond in the comments with a solid answer that you approve of. You can also script your own answers to replace the options the AI generated. And if an AI is unsure of how to interpret a question then you recieve a notification so your time isnt dedicated to answering the same question 500 times and instead you only have to answer it 5-10 times and the algorithm will figure it out. Would free up admin time to do things like go live, film content, study their craft, or run their business and their community they are working with will get the answers they need every single time!
I think Lex wanna work with Mark and this was like a job interview where Lex shows how he can be of use for Marks business, consciously or unconsciously:)
Yeah, it’s cool. His facial structure has changed slightly in a positive way, and he articulates himself slightly better than he did before (although he was never inarticulate). @@IntergalacticFool that’s what I thought, it does seem to benefit Meta in the end though so I don’t know
Yeah but they did it by accident lol. They don't get credit for accidentally leaking their own LLM!

Apple Vision Pro seems to be focusing more on entertainment, productivity & the whole apple eco system integration aspect with a more high end approach and price point while Meta & Quest is like Mark said more focused on social interactions, gaming etc. with a more affordable price point targeting the masses.
It’s interesting to see mark develop over the past decade or more.
