Hello my friends! Thank you so much for stopping by! In this video, I compare Miu to 3 other styles from Belle Tress as well as 2 from Raquel Welch. Please note the prices I mentioned can change and at the time of this recording. Let me know if you have a favorite! xoxo Marlene
I just received my MIU today. My first ever hand tied cap. WOW!! I am a BT fan. So...I love their regular cap. But this has just blown me away!! I feel it was worth the extra. But I still love my cafe collection because Cookies and Cream is my absolute favorite color! I bought both MIU and Columbia because of your reviews. Thank you! ❤❤
Excellent! Great comparison for a very popular basic style. Great explanation of the benefits of each feature so that people can decide what is worth more money to them. Serious trade offs. I love the look and realism of hand tied cap and heat friendly fiber. But, the shorter life of these fibers at this length and the maintenance of waves is a problem.
This video was SUPER helpful!!! Thank you. I get so confused with all the styles and have trouble choosing one. You made ot really clear. I'll get Wavy Day.
Hi Nancy, thank you so much for stopping by. I'm so happy to know you found my video helpful. I believe this top is from KLYNU online. They are relatively inexpensive ($30-$40). I've seen them advertise on FB. xoxo Marlene
Great review Marlene! Im looking forward to trying Mui in Sunkissed Almond. Between color, style, handtied and price, its been a challenge choosing. Your reviews are so helpful. Thank you so much!
You look so beautiful in all of them! I have been looking at many reviewers and I must say you have helped me a lot. But now, instead of not finding a wig that I like, I found too many. Ha ha thank you for doing the brown colors. Also, my bio hair is dyed a medium to dark brown with copper highlights so I’m trying to do something in that family. Thank you again.
Hi Patricia, thank you so much for stopping by! I'm so happy to know my videos have been helpful. If you're searching for a dark brunette with copper highlights, take a look at CKISSRT4 or Caramel Kiss (both are the same color but RT4 has a root) from Estetica. These are brunettes with the copper highlights. xoxo Marlene
Dalgona is still one of my all-time favs. I haven't purchased it because of the cost of the full mono top on the hand tied version. The regular Dalgona is a left part and I'm a right part girl. You rock the mid-length styles!
This is a crazy helpful video that I wish I had had more access when I started doing all my research myself, and had to look all over the place!!!! so it's very very nice to have it all consolidated in one video!!! THANK YOU🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi Beautiful, I did a comparison video showing all the brunettes in the lux collection, but this is the only blonde I have. I've only seen the same blondes as you have. xoxo Marlene
You look great in every single one but I think my favourite is Caliente although I actually have Simmer elite but have never plucked up the courage to wear her yet. She is very blond and long for me, lol.
Hi, thank you so much for stopping by! Columbia is one of my top favorite styles in the wavy category. I have it in multiple colors. I hope you love it as much as I do. xoxo Marlene
Marlene glad you made the move to be on your own. I always love your reviews. Can you tell me of the 5 wigs in this review which two have the lowest density and low or no permatease? Thank you
Hi Lisa, thank you so much for visiting! As I mentioned in the video, those that are hand-tied do not have any permatease. If you are looking for no permatease, regardless of the brand, a hand-tied cap will be the one to choose. In the ones that I showed, They're all fairly low density. I think Belle Tress can't be beat for low-density styles. xoxo Marlene
Hi ladies, Caliente 16 has more waves and layers, a left part, and weft cap. Dalgona 16 is available with a HT cap, full mono, but Caliente 16 has a regular machine made cap and left part. xoxo Marlene
Hi Marlene! I love all of those wigs and they look brand new! I have not had luck with wavy styles. I prefer heat friendly but my Califia and Editor’s Pick lost their wave and shape after being washed. I followed your video in how to wash and dry them but, pretty quickly, they just lost their waves and overall style. I tried putting the wave back in but I guess I don’t have the skills to get that soft loose wave. So I’m starting to look at regular synthetic wavy styles. I’ll be watching the comments for any suggestions. Thanks for your great information!
Hi Leeann, thank you so much for visiting! My only brand new one in this video is Miu. All the others I've worn numerous times. To add waves that will stay, section the hair, use the curl iron, then when you remove the curling iron, pin the section and allow the fibers to cool completely. If the fibers are combed or styled immediately after adding the curls, they will not hold. The trick is to not handle the section too much but rather just enough to pin it. Leave the pins in for about an hour in order for the fibers to cool completely. Your curls should stay. Something else you can do is use regular old-fashion curlers. Take small sections, apply the curlers then steam (you can use a regular clothes steamer; just keep the steam away from the lace). Leave the curlers in for a few hours. I think this method sometimes works better than a curling iron. I hope this helps. xoxo Marlene
Hi Darlene, yes, you can use hot curlers as long as the temp can be adjusted to no higher than 320 and that they cool down fairly quickly. The problem is that if the temp exceeds 320, the fibers may be ruined. Also, if heat from a hot tool is left on for too long, it may also ruin the fibers. My suggestion is that if you're using hot rollers, us the lowest temp possible, and don't leave on for very long. You're better off using regular rollers, applying steam, then allowing the fibers to cool down completely (about 30 minutes or so) before removing the rollers. Spritzing some water prior to using any hot tool is the preferred method by most brands, but no need to to use any water when using steam. xoxo Marlene
Jon renau Julianne is the non heat friendly I think is similar to these. The crown is 12, but the side and bang is shorter. The Julianne lite would be the same cap. I'm not crazy about the curl pattern on my Julianne. It looks nothing like any of the Julianne pictured. I love jon renau's salted caramel and I think the belletress colors in the lux collection are similar, specially sunkissed almond.
Hi Beautiful, thank you so much for stopping by. Dalgona16 is in Brown Sugar Sweet Cream and Wavy Day in SS Cappuccino. If in the future I don't respond right away, I always say the style and color as well as title it on the screen. :-) xoxo Marlene
I haven’t heard anyone comment about these new fibers. I know they’re supposed to be new and amazing and super silky and soft, but nobody (except for one retailer who only sells BT ) has mentioned anything about them that I’ve heard. Do you think there’s a difference in these fibers? I bought two of Shirley’s, limited edition Foxtrot wigs, and those fibers are completely different than any other Belle Tress wigs I own. They are super lightweight and very thin and fine in denier. I thought maybe this was a trial run for the new Luxe fibers. They don’t tangle and they feel like real hair. They feel almost like my hair before I lost most of it ….well, better than that because it was always fine and thin, but these fibers are super lightweight and pliable and nothing like the regular fiber. Do you have FT to compare the fiber?
Good video and very helpful. Although, I bough this exact wavy day. BEFORE this video and returned it because it looked horrible on me. But watching this video, I would have done the same. The color and style looks great on you. It was do cool and dark on me and a bit dense. What would you suggest for something very similiar but less dense, and warmer? and Maybe a little longer
Before I even watch the review… I love your shirt! Do you have a link to it? I have to have that first and foremost and this wig looks fabulous with it.
Hi Christina, honestly, this is an inexpensive top. I get tops like this for my videos. I've gotten a few at this place and they can be hits or misses. This one happened to be a pretty nice one. I found them on FB ad saying Made in SC. I don't believe that for one second. It took about 2 weeks to arrive. Here's the link: www.klynu.com/products/90228bfmke2ny
Hi Marlene! I thought this was such an informative video and really appreciated watching this. My question is on color, vs the wigs. I haven’t paid that much attention to the new BT colors, so I was curious does the burnt biscuit blonde have a bit more platinum and white blonde highlighting than butterbeer blonde? It appears that way in your video, but it could just be the ring light etc. Enjoy your weekend! ❤
Hi Beautiful, Burnt Biscuit is an ashy color with very little warmth with the exception of the sand blonde in the blend. This color is very close to SS Biscuit from Raquel Welch. Unfortunately, I no longer have SS Biscuit to provide a comparison. xoxo Marlene
Hi Joyce, I have a 21.5" circumference so I can't speak from personal experience; however, I can tell you that I have quite a few friends that have 23" C and wear primarily Belle Tress. I believe that as long as the front to back is no more than 13.5" it should be fine. xoxo Marlene
Hi Thank you for stopping by. Yes, as I mentioned in the video, a hand-tied cap, full mono top and ear to ear lace front will contribute to the higher price on a wig. I basic cap will be much less since they don't have the added features. However, a wig can be just as beautiful whether it's hand-tied or basic cap xoxo Marlene

This was so helpful. Thank you. I usually wear Caliente but was looking to mix it up.

Fabulous comparisons Marlene I like Dalgona Wavy Day and Simmer 🩷
Hi Clara, thank you so much for stopping by! Yes! I agree! Those are great styles! xoxo Marlene

Miu is beautiful but pricey. Thank you for the comparison, I think I might get Columbia since I'm a left parter anyway 😊

Hi Jean, thank you so much for visiting! Yes, I agree and think Columbia is pretty close! Much love xoxo Marlene
Thanks for the comparisons- but I’m left wondering between BT HT Dalgona 16 and BT HT Caliente 16 ❤
Me too I'm wondering which has more wave and just the general look 🤔
Hi ladies, Caliente 16 has more waves and layers, a left part, and weft cap. Dalgona 16 is available with a HT cap, full mono, but Caliente 16 has a regular machine made cap and left part. xoxo Marlene
For a regular synthetic, how about Estetica's Avalon? Wavy Day is my own personal pick.
Hi, thank you for stopping by! Yes, Avalon would be a great choice! Thank you for suggesting it! Love my Wavy Day! xoxo Marlene

Is the lace front on Miu comfortable ?
Hi, I wear mostly Belle Tress and find their lace fronts very comfortable. I've never had any issues with them. xo
Do Belle Tress wigs run big enough for a 23" circumference?
Hi Joyce, I have a 21.5" circumference so I can't speak from personal experience; however, I can tell you that I have quite a few friends that have 23" C and wear primarily Belle Tress. I believe that as long as the front to back is no more than 13.5" it should be fine. xoxo Marlene
Darn expensive! I have a similar one just as nice for $150 ...Noriko but standard cap not lace.
