My mother loved Boy George. If you knew my black mother you would know how rare this was. She loved his voice. She would ask "Is that a boy?", and we would say-- he is a boy, Mom. When remembering my mom that is one of our favorite memories.

I had posters of two people on my walls as a teen. Michael Jackson and Boy George.
Interviewing him is an accomplishment, he’s very intelligent, witty and I remember when Phil Donahue interviewed him and tried to humiliate him years ago. Don’t ever “not do your homework” and or ask him the same questions he has been asked for 35 years. He is talented and very intuitive, enjoyable and fun.

"This Is What I Do (2013)" is an underrated classic of Boy George. ESPECIALLY the song "Any Road", about his previous struggles with addiction. If this were the 1980's or 1990's (and radio stations weren't owned by 2 corporations)....that song would've been #1.

Yes I agree with you. I was scared also. Back then I clang to the 'fact' at least my most favorite artist didn't do drugs and at least I'd never have to worry about hearing they overdosing and dying.
