You should move the SSD to the slot just underneath the CPU/above the GPU and not leave it at the bottom locatĺon in your video. Reason being is that the top location is the primary nvme ssd drive location with the fastest speeds (PCIE Gen4) while the bottom is only Gen3; essentially Gen3 is half the speed of Gen4. Don't worry you won't need to re-install windows, the system will auto detect it. Awesome series, great to see you and your dad learning together - keep it up.

You can also connect old SSDs to the motherboard for extra storage, or just to access your old files, even from the old operating system. You could even boot your old system by choosing the old SSD as the boot option in the BIOS, although you would have to see if Windows supports the boot because changing the hardware requires the new drivers, and that could cause your old operating system to not boot. Either way, you could use the SSDs as storage.

Oh nice card ahh the old one was gt710 haaa I was close. Also that old card isn’t really garbage. I used one like that for my friend that plays the most basic of games she has windows 11 too on the refurb desktop I setup for her! Your card is better than mine on my main desktop I have a nvidia Msi 3060 12gb. I’m happy to see ya learning computers, I’m self taught myself… enjoy!

Keep the 710, always good to have a card for troubleshooting :) I dont know if you moved the memory based on comments, but that's nit picky lol it was running in dual channel regardless. Your ssd should move to the upper slot though. And that's a 1080p 60fps card at most, so ignore the comments regarding your monitor 😊 its fine

To protect your equipment place the components on a piece of clean cardboard or a large mouse mat / PC building mat, as carpet can cause static, and it not recommended to place and move new expensive components.
Not sure if you have heard of a "Joby" tripod, can be useful if your going to make lots of videos so then you can place your camera / phone and use both hands for assembly etc
overall not bad install and choice of components.
sorry if i sound critical, i am just been honest and giving tips so you don't get static damage to components. the more you get into computers / components and the knowledge of building & upgrading computers the more you will learn and then be able to help out other people.
That M.2 SSD drive, wa that for your primary boot drive / windows or a secondary drive for games and storage etc? if its your secondary drive then yes where you installed it was good place. usually a primary drive / boot drive would go into the upper M.2 drive slot.
there are so many build videos and custom PC videos on utube, its good for the community and i hope you have fun with your upgrade.

good upgrade components, just for future reference, sometimes next year, you may need to uopgrade your gpu again for future proofing, at the very least 8gb vram will be minimum for gaming and try to keep your pc on a table and not enclosed. It will be not able to breathe. You need a good air flow. for PSU, you would probably need to change that minimum of 750W. But might as well upgrade to 1000w when you upgrade your gpu in the future. However good jop upgrading components!! love the vid!

also get a new damn monitor please. go for at least 165hz and 1080p plz i think your current monitors are heavily limiting your graphics cards performance. your eyes will thank you

It really is the next step to do to for your pc pref 1080p, 1440 is ok but more expensive and probably not the best for your fps would be nice a 3 monitor setup. The best in the middle

      It's a 1080p 60fps card, so how would a 165hz benefit her?

Hummm you just made it worse. 8gb for video ram isn't enough for games nowadays. But congrats
