- Like many of you I received the postmates terms of service for 2019 today and blindly hit agree. However I'm going to break down in layman's terms what the document is actually saying. Major update to the video. You have to send the opt out letter via priority mail or hand delivery. You cannot sent the letter certified postage...you need a special 6 dollar priority envelope. Also I am not a lawyer...i just know how to read and research, then take notes.
So Paul what to do if you think Postmates are stealing our tips. Delays on tipping is ridiculous and mysterious or it doesn’t appear, which is crazy. Thank you.
Can you explain more about opting out? Am I in a contract for 1 year with Postmates? Is opting out not signing the agreement? That could be a dumb question. All of this legal talk is way over my head.
Opting out of arbitration has already passed. We are 1099 contractors and can quit any time. However if we want legal representation this TOS removes the ability to take PM to court. Instead legal issues will be solved internally. Its how companies CYB
I'm an ex-pm driver & my plan was to get in, get it done & get out in ref. to a promo they had "$1000/80 deliveries". Had fun doing it, got my money & got the f*ck out as otherwise their customer service doesn't care about you & the pay is not worth it 🤣 Trust me, read the fine print & do the math!
One reason I don't want the Postmates hat is that if Postmates is slow I'll switch over to Door Dash or vice versa.
That's a great strategy, the door dash scheduling is tight here so I can only get .5 hour windows really far away and late at night.
