How To Make A Sunflower Wreath Using Fused Daisy Petals

- Amp up the typical sunflower wreath by using fused daisy petals! In this step-by-step tutorial, I show you the products I use to fuse the petals which cuts down on fraying even more than using a wood burning tool alone! I learned this fused petal technique from @JuliesWreathBoutique a couple years ago and I love it!
Altogether, I used 30 pieces of the yellow and 10 pieces of the green poly burlap.

This wreath is so beautiful! Great idea using the plastic mesh in the center! Thanks so much for a great tutorial👍
Thank you! I got the idea of using the plastic canvas from Julie’s Wreath Boutique.
Yes it is beautiful, the extra work really makes a difference. Less worry about the poly burlap fraying on the raw edge. Thanks for sharing another beautiful design.
Thank you! 😊
I've been

Thank you!!! ☺️
Very pretty 🌻 Sunflower, thank you for sharing!
I also appreciate the guide lines you draw on the plastic canvas as it helps me to follow along with where you are as you place each petal. Execellent tutorials & a very talented artist I must say!
I cant wait to try my hand at doing one of your beautiful wreath designs.
I love this!!! You made my day! ❤️❤️❤️
BEAUTIFULL! I love the center.
Thanks! 😊
Love the sunflower! It’s awesome!
Thanks. Susan!
It is beautiful 😍
Thank you! 😊
Really enjoying your designs Patty!❤
Thank you so much! ☺️
Thank you Patty, I will try this technique because I usually decopadge the raw edge. This should help I would think? The only thing is I found that some fused edges still fray. Your thoughts please! I love it, the leaf placement is awsome too❤
Sorry Patti, I spelled your name wrong.
No worries on the spelling!
Fusing the edges doesn’t completely eliminate all fraying, but it cuts it way down! Any wreaths that I still have with this style of petal haven’t frayed at all! I should ask some of my customers that I’ve sold them to how it’s been holding up.
Thank you so much!
That's awsome because, it's overwhelming to have to decopadge soooo many petals ugh... Btw, I love your sunflower! I too might by these centers because, I make my own too!
How many rolls of mesh for yellow petals?
I used I roll of yellow poly burlap in this wreath. Thanks for watching! 😊
What size were the yellows petals
They were cut into 10” x 10” pieces.
So if you don't have a wood burning tool you really can't make this !????
You can make it, but unfortunately, the mesh will fray. Using a wood burning tool cuts down on the fraying when you cut the mesh and fusing the two sides together makes it an even sharper edge.
Or use glue gun on the cut edges so they don’t fray.
