You can most definitely build muscle with high reps. Don't listen to all this old bro science. Some of the oldest and best looking guys I know use high reps only.

Doing high repetitions until failure will burn more calories, which is why people have the impression of having more defined muscles.

100%. Just keep putting in the work and be disciplined in your diet and you’ll add muscle- even at 61 and we both are.
