EV's are such a strain on the powergrids that they are causing brown-outs in just mid-sized cities and causing the Fast-Charge feature to be disabled at the charging stations. Plus the lithium mines have to strip 500,000cu. yds of earth to get enough lithium for just one EV. There's not enough lithium out there to sustain EV's. The largest mines in Australia and China have already been depleted 2yrs ago. They cause thousands of tons more of coal and natural gas to be burned at the powerplants. Sounds real "green" huh?? 😆 This sad idiotic EV fad will be gone in a couple years. Dealerships all over have announced they will not take any EV's on trade-in cause no one wants them.
They claim to be selling at a loss, but they're selling trash? How much of a loss could it have been if they skimp on the materials and only use low quality stuff that breaks within a year? You can get some pretty decent cars for 30k USD (new) and most of them you will be able to use for over 10 years because they're not made out of trash.
Benz started making cars in 1885. They have been perfecting them ever since. My previous one did 240.000km. Once a year to the dealer for scheduled maintenance. Once there was an issue with the water pump. They didn't charge anything for the repair. We got a phone call from the dealer afterward to explain and apologise, "That should not have happened." Then it was rather sadly rear-ended. Too expensive to repair. so we took the money the insurance paid for it and bought a new car. Guess which brand. In my country there is a saying: if you burn your a**, you have to sit on the blisters.
This is one of the main problems with China. Everybody wants to get their hands in the sectors that were hot like Real Estate and EVs. Why Xiaomi and Evergrande decided to get involve in the EVs? You preorder, you lose. But tbh, aluminium wiring is very popular in EVs. It's lighter and cheaper. BMW i3 uses alu wires in the battery, in interconnectors between modules. Besides, every battery has cells connected with aluminium tabs. It does NOT generate more heat because thicker gauge is used to compensate for higher resistance.
Most U.S. homes have aluminum wire for the main runs, such as the street feed to the Main Breaker and from there to any Subpanels (usually 100 A USE-2). It is mandatory to use anti-corrosion grease at the connectors, but that is recommended for copper wire too. 1960's homes which used aluminum wire for the outlets (15 or 20 A) apparently didn't use grease, so suffered corrosion at connectors which gave high resistance heating and sometimes caused fires. So, no problem using aluminum wire for the high current runs in EV's, if designed correctly.
we are not rich enough to buy cheap under spec products. how can a Tech giant simply copy and paste Porsche Taycan and interior graphics of Tesla? Chinese customers are very much brand oriented and they stick to their choice of proper cars when they can afford them. Porsche, BMW, Tesla etc..
Honestly that's kind of amazing that they found such a crappy material I don't know of any other material on earth that disintegrates or wears away that fast like did they make the seats out of butter And how do you even have more leaks than there are places that hold fluid that don't even make sense there's probably only oil in the front and rear gear boxes how is oil coming out of the tires and in other places at the same time there shouldn't even be that much fluid in there
Maybe it's not for lubrication, but a cooling-fluid or its for fire extinguisher purpose, heard chinese EVs are likely to overheat or to combust externally. I think it would be a very clever way to include a fire extinguisher in the car. Maybe you can make them a micro transaction for when the car is burning. For only 30000¥ you can purchase a immediate fireout feature. Do you like to buy now?
They obviously blew the main feedline for the blinker fluid at all four clusters front and rear. Such shoddy workmanship should be criminal. Oh... wait... it's China. Never mind.
I believe it’s a mistake to underestimate the ability of Chinese manufacturers to learn from the mistakes of older models. China has the people, industry, and resources to innovate and improve constantly. Moreover, there are several Chinese EV models that have received excellent reviews. In the West, we may have become complacent and underestimated this competition.
To the fears of European manufacturers of the Chinese car manufacturers, relax, it is not hard to see their products are absolutely dreadful all around and the support is even worst. How many times I have bought Chinese products and feel regret, every single time, literally.
Never be the first to buy something from a new manufacturer. It's one thing when Apple decided to produce phones. Very similar to iPod / laptops. But, a phone company producing cars? Even the iPhones had major issues (not Apple's fault). Worked in downtown SF in a modern relatively low floor building and our phones didn't work in the building. It was comical.
My personal experience of using Macs at university (plus how short-lived other Apple products belonging to others I know have lasted) convinced me to never purchase anything from Apple!
I wonder how many people in this channel are excited to believe that one batch of cars by one of hundreds of car makers in China having issues at the moment can represent all the cars this company and all Chinese companies will ever make. If anyone was actually worried about low quality Chinese cars then no tariffs would be needed. Countless car brands have had issues that required crazy amounts of recalls. Do you see people saying this means “all German/japanese cars have faulty breaks” because of that? Only when speaking about China do you actually attempt to easily accept this kind of bad logic. Even the way the information is presented makes it seem like it doesn’t know or care about the car industry at all and just wants to get some of that congressional anti China money.
While i think that they may very well fix those issues, undercutting the competition by incurring losses does not 'convey seriousness'. Quite the opposite. In conveys desperation. But the same goes for almost all legacy car companies as well.
Oh, the damn information gap has led many to believe that Xiaomi cars appeared out of nowhere. I think this is due to a lack of understanding of the information from China. Xiaomi's car factory is operated by BAIC (Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co.), and the project was initiated several years ago. BAIC Group serves as a contract manufacturer for many automotive brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, and Foton. As for the technology of Xiaomi cars, Xiaomi has poached a large number of talents from Geely Automobile Research Institute, including the head of the institute. Speaking of Geely Automobile Group, I think some people might be familiar with it. This company owns Volvo, Lynk & Co, Geely, and smart, and even now holds substantial shares in Aston Martin and Mercedes-Benz. Even though they know that all Xiaomi products are basically disposable cheap toys, but for a moment they feel like a millionaire, something they know that they can no longer be, so they don't mind risking their lives to have a moment of cheap thrill and glory. They buy a toy which is assembled by a company that copy other copiers' manufacturing process with the cheapest materials from the most low cost 3rd party vendors. It’s cheap for a reason. The Chinese copy almost everything from the design perspective only. However, when it comes to engineering, craftsmanship, build quality, and more, they suck. They try to make their cars as cheap as possible. Always remember that you get what you pay for. Major automakers price their EVs higher but they produce acceptable level of quality. I don’t get it why don’t the Chinese build something of good quality and go head-to-head with the major automakers. The Chinese really love to do it cheap and affordable. In the long term, it may sound good; but in the long term, it would be very problematic.

In some Chinese cities you can't get plates if you don't buy EV

@@Voltaje_YT The best Tesla with the latest Lithium cells only gets a pathetic 900 Power/Efficiency score. A Gasoline/Diesel gets a 4500 score. 😆
This sad idiotic EV fad will be gone in a couple years. Dealerships all over have announced they will not take any EV's on trade-in cause no one wants them.
They claim to be selling at a loss, but they're selling trash? How much of a loss could it have been if they skimp on the materials and only use low quality stuff that breaks within a year? Benz started making cars in 1885. They have been perfecting them ever since. My previous one did 240.000km. Once a year to the dealer for scheduled maintenance. Once there was an issue with the water pump. They didn't charge anything for the repair. We got a phone call from the dealer afterward to explain and apologise, "That should not have happened." Then it was rather sadly rear-ended. Too expensive to repair. so we took the money the insurance paid for it and bought a new car. Guess which brand. If people are so stupid to buy a car from a company that was making rather crappy cell-phones and decided somewhere last week "we're gonna make cars".... In my country there is a saying: if you burn your a**, you have to sit on the blisters.

That woman who paid 300k is at fault herself. You do NOT pay 300k without a contract.
I would never trust a Chinese car..
Most U.S. homes have aluminum wire for the main runs, such as the street feed to the Main Breaker and from there to any Subpanels (usually 100 A USE-2).

I hope that a random video on a UA-cam channel should not sway the judgment of an intellectually capable person.
