Great tips. Looking good. Machines down for repair is a common issue so using the same machine in the farm is so helpful. Share parts, you know the issues, quicker to fix because of experience. Next step is injection molding. I’m down to only 3 print designs left in my farm. The rest have grown to enough volume that injection molded was the only way to keep up.
Great vid. I have a genuine question, why did you use original pursa over a cheaper clone or a cheaper 3d printer? Are they really that much better that they're worth the extra cost?
What about the CR30's? What is your plan using those in your print farm? Are they on the side because the print quality isn't good enough compared to the Prusa's?
What kind of hair spray do you use. I found that the aqua net hair spray that everyone suggests leaves a sticky residue afterwards. Also how often do you respray the beds?
Nice tour and noce insights. I like the shower curtains. :) I am constantly printing PETG with the textured sheets. No interface layer needed, insane adhesion, parts pop right off after cooling down/flexin the sheet. Did you try Josefs tipp with Windex on the smooth sheets with PETG prints? It acutally works well if you dont overapply the Windex. The Vac system is an awesome idea! Did you move the belt printers off the walls due to any issue with this mounting method?
Hi, I am setting up a print farm and I am at the stage where I am choosing the machines. I noticed that you have CR-30's, these are my printers of choice. My question is would you recommend the CR-30'S? Thanks.
They can be fantastic machines for the right parts with the right modifications. But I would NOT recommend them in stock configuration OR as a first / only printer on a print farm.
you seem to have all the same printers ? i have around 18 at the moment, but a massive mixture of them, is it better to keep them all the same ? I have Prusia, Geetech, FLSUN QQ, FLSUN SR, Anycubic, Ender 5, Print Mill, Alta, JG Maker, Mono Price and a few others - i also have resin printers - I want to make a profitable print farm (UK) - any help would be welcomed
Hey you should use 3DPrinterOS to manage your mini 3d print factory! Many universities use 100's of iPrusas managed with 3DPrinterOS. It's free to register. Try it, happy to help you make it more efficient
They are stock. Downtime costs money so these are not machines I tinker with, these are workhorses, I need them consistent and cross compatible, modding them defeats that purpose. I have other printers for tinkering.
Power sags play hell with electronics. If your car battery gets low you may find the car does weird things too. Having the right electrical setup was a great idea
Yep, found that out the hard way on My Friends Nissan. slight low voltage tripped the security on the ignition and would not start even though it turned over normally
Honestly no. I have plenty of other printers that I can use for outlying cases but I find the Prusa to be the best bang for the buck in terms of ability and reliability at the moment. I'm sure plenty would disagree but for our operation it's been fantastic.
I have one at home and I love it but I don't currently farm with them regularly. That said I could certainly see it being viable for some especially once they get networking / Prusa Connect active.
@@Repkord Awesome! Do you print PETG on it? We have a small farm (14 machines) with Creality, Sovol, Prusa, Artillery.. We are just looking to move out some of the Chinese brands and consolidate on one or two machines (Looking at Prusa Mini and mk3s). We print all PETG though and was curious of any issues with the Bowden setup creating more work with stringing. All of our parts are very small so the mini's would be perfect from a size perspective and energy consumption standpoint.
Hairspray has been used for bed adhesion for well over a decade now. You're not spraying it on an open flame you're putting it on a cold build plate before you even start printing. I didn't come up with this, go look it up.
Wow, looking good, dude. I seriously cannot wait to get down there and visit and see it all in person!

CHEP do you do the injection molding yourself, or outsource to a company?
Really interesting tour and insights into the setup.
Would love to see an updated tour if much has changed over the past couple years!
Looks great Pooch! Love the farm, and the walk through! PS> New Pooch Rant - Filament Bits Need a Vacuum!
Loved the tour. Would really like more updates and even more detailed with all tips and tricks you got when it comes to farms and printing. Well done.
Awesome tour! That’s for sharing your progress!!!
Great vid. I have a genuine question, why did you use original pursa over a cheaper clone or a cheaper 3d printer? Are they really that much better that they're worth the extra cost?
Omg I need to put a shopvac in my printer areas
What about the CR30's? What is your plan using those in your print farm? Are they on the side because the print quality isn't good enough compared to the Prusa's?
As both a Transformers fan and a 3D printing enthusiast, love that naming convention in Michael Bay, LOL. Thanks for the video tour.

What temperature and humidity are you aiming for in your farm?
Thanks for the tour, awesome 😃
So what kind of parts are you printing and selling ?
I’m interested to hear your experience with those 2 CR30s on the center table. I’d have to imagine that they might be useful generating large batches.
Looking good pooch! Any chance on a custom size rep box? I need a couple that will mount on top of my printer enclosure from printed solid.
There's always a chance! ;)
How do you deal with the over spray from the hair spray. Does that gum up the machines?

Can you talk a bit about the software. Do you have thought about octoprint?
hello, I have been looking everywhere for the pull out trays/spool storage under your printers. can you show me where you purchased those?
great setup Pooch !
Great tour, thanks for sharing!
Do you have a link to the racks you purchased? They look awesome and in need of some myself.

Miss you brother. Once this all passes we all need to meet up again.
Definitely!
What kind of shelving do you recommend? We're about to build our farm.
I was wondering, how many printers do you need minimum for a business. I don't want to scale too fast but I don't want to have a big leadtime.

Which foam pads do you use beneath MK3's?
Fantastic vid and inspiring, I hope one day to setup a print farm👍
Great tipps. What parts are you normally printing?
Super cool
Looks like you’ve got things well set up there 👌
Question: I went on your site and you're not really selling printed parts. What are you printing?
The parts that hold together to products that we do sell on our site.
@@Repkord wow, that's a ton of stuff! Nice going!
What mods do you add to make your farm better per printer? Or are they mainly stock?
They are stock. Downtime costs money so these are not machines I tinker with, these are workhorses, I need them consistent and cross compatible, modding them defeats that purpose. I have other printers for tinkering.
what exactly are the jobs, and, any tip on how to work with 3d printing?
Great little tour
Turntable??? Im sorry youre missing a perfect excuse to sell the "pooch table"
Turner and Pooch?
Very cool farm well done.

Cool video, you should never underrate the value of being agile and choose simple solutions that you have been doing here. If it works, it works!
i take it your happy with the prusa printers looks like u have plenty of them, do you ever wish you would have went with a different printer
Honestly no. I have plenty of other printers that I can use for outlying cases but I find the Prusa to be the best bang for the buck in terms of ability and reliability at the moment. I'm sure plenty would disagree but for our operation it's been fantastic.
Is there an STL for that ?
Focus your fire suppression system over Michael Bay, we all know what that guy likes to do!
That's awesome 👌
Octofarm ?
Any prusa minis?
I have one at home and I love it but I don't currently farm with them regularly. That said I could certainly see it being viable for some especially once they get networking / Prusa Connect active.

hi how are you? wow this is very nice!! really like it )
Nice video, but your constant moving around with the camera, is making me dizzy.
you can get cheap thermostats from china to control fans.
why are people still using hair spray for printing ... don't do it.
pet-g? whats that i think you meant P.E.T.G AND DID YOU SAY HAIRSPRAY????!?!?!?! thats flamable dont do that thats the worst idea ever
