You didn’t miss anything with the first one. Hahaha I’m almost finished with my review and I really really enjoyed it! Probably way more than others. 🤷♀️ I’m glad you enjoyed it some too!
It's interesting knowing Pooh and friends were human. And makes it funnier that were pretty much people in rubber suits in the first due to budget. Can chalk it up to mutating more. But looking forward to watching this.
I thought this sequel was much like Evil Dead 2 was to the original Evil Dead. Its a soft reboot or retelling of the first Winnie just on a bigger budget. Its a better movie but still not worthy of a Top Ten Best list.
Nice review Lee. I was waiting for you to review this so much. I am sooo looking forward to watching this, i am 100% sure it’s much much better than the first, I do not hate the first movie like EVERYBODY did, I thought it was just 6/10. But this movie seems wayyyyyyyyy better. But my expectations were dropped 60% when you said this movie takes itself too seriously because that’s EXACTLY my biggest problem with the first movie, it takes itself wayyyyyyyyyy too seriously. I saw a clip of tiger killing a woman and calling her bitch etc that I immediately got excited like wow finally this movie will embrace the silliness but apparently not. I just hope I still enjoy this movie a lot, it seems it will be released in Brazil in April so just a few weeks, CAN’T wait !!! Thanks for the review, Lee !! ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
Very glad to hear that you got your Winnie The Pooh Blood & Honey cherry popped, Lee, LOL. I am looking VERY forward to seeing this film when it hits VOD (no theaters near me were playing it). As far as the first film goes, I'm one who liked it because I knew what it was & didn't take it for being more than what it was. It is super low budget, but I respected what the filmmakers wanted to do with it with the little money they had. It does take itself a little too seriously, but it's worth a watch just to see it. I do wish it would've followed on from its opening sequence as far as theme, but again it is what it is. Look forward to hearing your review of it when you get around to it. Take care, my friend.
Monkeys and Lizards review, then tomorrow night is opening night for that film, we will miss Winnie-The-Pooh BLOOD and HONEY 2 in theaters for a limited time only.
You said you heard it comes out on VOD in October... THAT CAN'T BE RIGHT!!! They have it out only 3 days in movie theatres... That is a straight to DVD type move... It's gotta be much much sooner than that!! Like within a couple of weeks... Not in 6 months!!!
Watched it last night. And as someone who watched the original through the eyes of a movie commentary on YT, I really enjoyed this one. Expecting anything than what we got, is crazy. It’s Winnie the Pooh not Scream or Halloween. I think they did well with what they had. Full ⭐️⭐️⭐️.
The first movie was definitely watchable, not quite as horrible as everyone said. It’s not great, but you’ve definitely seen MUCH worse. Looking forward to catching Part 2 when it hits VOD.
Overall for me it was a huge improvement over the first. The animal costumes felt more real in this movie. This really story driven which I think we need more then just lots blood abd gory. Got to see it myself in the theaters which was worth it. Looking to forward to seeing what comes next.
TY TY TY for this review. My goodness. Critics can be so harsh & heavy handed. Like, why? The movie (both iterations thus far) is about turning a childhood fairy tale into something... Dare I say -GRIMM? It's not supposed to be based in reality. It's meant to be based in fun. IMO. I HONESTLY can't wait to see where this Pooniverse goes... But, I'm here for it. Assuming we all don't die in the Civil War that happens after the votes are cast in this year's upcoming election. 🤷🏼♂️
"I've had my share, Crow Wicket Prayer." Hey, that rhythms. 😉😂🤣 Two reviews in one day, forget busy bee, it's Busy Lee. 😉 Well, the big thing that made me not interested in seeing the first movie, I don't mind movies with goofy concepts, but when you have a goofy concept, trying to play it seriously, as Hulk Hogan would say, "That doesn't work for me, brother." This, I heard they lean more into putting the tone with the concept, so maybe I'll check this out on Streaming, but we'll see. However, if they went full on Warwick Davis Leprechaun with this thing, I think it would help. Anyways, thank you, Lee.
Thank you for your awesome review of Winnie-The-Pooh BLOOD and HONEY 2. You can read my review what I had to say: Winnie-The-Pooh BLOOD and Honey 2 After walking out of the movie theater, this is without a doubt one of the BLOODIEST, THE BEST, BEAUTIFUL AND BRUTAL LOW BUDGET HORROR Films of this year and does an excellent job. This independent international film from the first film, yes I did think two characters from the first film did made it perfect as possible, which they did. This film on Winnie-The-Pooh BLOOD and Honey 2 had better cast, better practical effects, Christopher Robin's Flashback, the young Winnie-The-Pooh looks very well done. The dialogue from Tigger sounds similar to Freddy Krueger, and I find that heartwarming, the other dialogues from Owl, Piglet, and POOH themselves are definitely the scariest voices that ruins my sisters nightmare forever. The story, writing, and script were definitely better as well as cinematography. I'd love this film to death, and I am excited about where this film is going to be in the future. We will see. This 10 Jars of BLOOD & HONEY out of 10 is that perfection. I will see this film again in the future. Winnie-The-Pooh BLOOD and HONEY 2 is definitely to me one of the best films of this year, incredible and beautiful. That is just my personal perspectives on this one.
I feel it would have been more creeper if they had short people playing the main characters because the image of them being short like the cartoon characters would have been great to see them moving around like animals rather than watch tall Michael Myers people smh lol
The animal instincts were awesome in this film Pooh running at them like a bear owl attacking people like a owl and its prey then also when the owl regerratates (vomit) on dude and tiger in the beginning running towards guy attacking him i grew up watching demonic toys, critters, killer clowns from space movies this movie is in that category there already making a 3rd movie with even more characters kang, roo, the mole character ,lumpy with big tusks and read egore comes back for revenge against his friends who killed him.
I just came out of theater and I must say obviously this is WAYYYY better than the 1st movie !!!! I still think they’re taking this too seriously but at least some of the parts that are serious are a bit interesting like the explanation for the creatures ! Obviously what redeems this move from being just a mediocre movie is the 3rd act, the massacre at the party, if the whole movie had the vibe from that scene it would’ve been perfect. I think they still need to perfect this formula but filmmaking wise is a MUCH better movie than the first, it’s fun, it’s very very bloody, all the kills are nice, the makeup is great even the soundtrack is good. Of course my favorite part of the movie is the whole segment in the party. I really enjoyed the funny/dark humor moments. Overall it’s a pretty fun movie but it could’ve been better. My rating is something between 7,5/10 or 8/10. I’ll stick to 7,5/10.
As someone who grew up with the Winnie the pooh cartoons and movies, i consider the first one an abomination against humanity in the likes of Dragonball Evolution and The Last Airbender.

Wow, Hostel, I'm surprised!! A better sequel story and a final guy, you know how Three EVIL DEAD films where its one final guy, we want more of final guys than girls.
To be 100% honest the first one is better, but the 2nd has better story, character design, and blood. How is the first one better with all the improvements and that is it lost its heart in the 2nd one. It really does feel like a Hollywood version of the first one
I doubt you'd like the original as much, but I'd watch your reaction. I liked it for what it was, and the same with part 2. An improvement to be sure, though maybe not by too much. I equated Pooh to Michael Myers then (he's even more so now) and Piglet to Jason Voorhees; now we have a Freddy Kruger Tigger and a Pinhead Owl. This movie had better story, effects, gore and plot twists, and an overall sense of fun with its material. But that doesn't change the fact that it's derivative, a bit predictable, unevenly acted and at times, too poorly lit to see the carnage. But hey, I'm almost excited for the Poohniverse now. A generous 6/10.

The Rave scene is exactly where the next movie should be heading towards…chaos, fun and carnage lead by Tigger!!
That rave scene was this year's bus scene from Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022.
yes, there needs to be more Tigger!
And starring Tigger as..... Himself. Watched it last night. Hilarious.
