Excellent story! Thank you for showcasing these successful friends, and entrepreneurs in their own right. Loved it!
Very impressive duo that come together very well. Calm speaking, intelligent and inspirational. Could watch this content over and over again
My boyfriend was hired
through this company and it sucked. When he was laid off without reason they directly told him they NEVER comply with the severance pay required by law and that he had to negotiate. Here in mexico it's 3 months plus other benefits for reference.
This company is overvalued
Super well done and interesting video. I think that interviewing successful entrepreneurs who run semi large companies is something that many people want to see because people really wanna know what goes into building a successful company
be awesome try and fail learn solve a Real problèm for Real people even if its hard . digitalise hard offline stuff. for example payfiit in France is doing something like that and its hard. but as Kennedy Said WE choose to go to thé Moon and do all of those thibg not because they are easy but because they are hard
i agree with that
Bro his company is overvalued and he is full on competitive market if not taken that much funding his company could have gone bankrupt
@@Brodragon2225
Yeah but he did get funding. You clearly have no idea how to run a business.
@@stadix4454 yeah but is it not overvalued and he is super genius like completing degree at 16 and 21.As a man born in india we have very less resources to become successful like that our people have less talent thus most good programmers or geniuses from india have work for us company mentality and I can't find a good tech co-founder.
This is a great solution for great problem at the right time. Real cash growing startup instead of fake future value burning cash companies! Great work Deel team! Thanks EO for this inspiring video.
true
Bro deel is super overvalued super duper
The incredible Deel origin story 👏🏼 This is such an amazing video!
came to hear the story, ended up having one of the best life advice. Thank you EO and Deel. Bravo!
Beautiful video. Really well done. The ending remarks were also surprisingly beautiful.
I love what you guys are doing at EO. I am so thankful for the value of this channel and support your team's growth and mission!

greattt content EO love this, keep bringing this content. you are inspiring a generation of entrepreneurs
Great video, my company is based out of UK but uses deel for salary, taxation etc and the software & their support is flawless.
Another amazing video. Keep up the great work!
I have a startup called Bluload, and this has given me a lot of insight. Thank you
As a regular user of deel, I can honestly say that their customer support and every other service is absolutely amazing.
hai kya bhai deel in simple words
Online HR hai samajhlo
Just found your channel. Love your videos... thank you
Love to know their ideas, their struggles, and how they manage to overcome them.
Great content, this channel has quickly become my favourite. Don't stop!
Thanks, will do!
I'm always wondering what was day one of a successful company. Super interesting to hear it from two such talented people! Thx
Proud customer here, congrats!
This is a great channel.
Great humble video.
Great and very useful, everyone gonna love it
From the way Alex speaks you'd definitely tell he's a genius off the bat
Loving the channel! My New fav!
Basically digitizing and automating administrative work flow for hiring a contractor for a project.
Businesses like this make life more easy.
BUT also, it will mean that people will hire contractors more often than employees !
A trend to prepare for as an employee.
Very inspring video. Learning a lot from the founders of Deel.
Awesome. Thanks EO and the founders
Shuo is such an inspiration
i love this!
Seems like a good idea until I checked out the company website. I chose Canada as a country to compare as I’m from Canada. Pretty much every data point about labor regulation is wrong - how the heck can this be a billion dollar company?
Thanks for this content and always. I would appreciate link to the complete pitch video embedded, to learn few things to better my startup pitching.
thanks for sharing!
Kudos to the founders since this is such a hard problem to solve. Especially when it comes to international tax and labor laws. Looking forward to a multi billion IPO some day soon.
It's really inspiring story! Great video! Wonder are there any other companies that are Deel alternatives
Great 👏
Thanks for aharing your wisdom!
As of Jan 2024, they are making over 300M in ARR
This is a great idea 💡
Superb Story! Thanks EO Team. Full of insights for aspiring entrepreneurs.
Our pleasure!
For me the most inspiring part is how the ladys mum moved to us and started her business
This channel will grow fast
Sick!! Let's gooooO!
Great story. Is there any chance that Deel swallows/disrupt existing employee payroll products, and sets up a payment plan per-user for remote contractor/workers? I feel like this would be a great advantage to the many different payroll products out there.
Amazing video
He was destined to be a billionaire from the moment he graduated at 16 and had 4 of the richest countries to call home
Definitely a factor
What do you say to the other trust fund babies that ended up partying to hard?
Yeah, privilege
@@MrFraiche Perhaps they lost out to him but eventually became travel vloggers and partied even harder.
This is simply a factor, it's not the magic formula for success.
Nice interview
My company uses Deel to employ me and over one year, I’ve got a really bad experience so far. It’s consistent with what my other coworkers have been reporting as well.
It’s mistake after mistake (on days off, on health insurance, on pension), without a direct contact meaning that you have to go through a chat bot then a person that always “can’t help with that inquiry” and needs to escalate. Impossible to get any help without having to wait a minimum of 48h to multiple days even for the most basic info.
Feels more like being a freelancer than an real employee. I would not recommend to anyone.
They clearly grew to fast and are happy to cash in new customers but are unable to provide a basic correct service.
Lastly and I’m not the only one, I’m largely quitting my current position to avoid having to deal with this. We’ve also had candidates refusing an offer because of past experience with bad EoR such as Deel.
I have no doubt about it, a problem of the common SaaS
This is awesome. I'm totally sick and tired of paying the people in my own country a living wage, with this now I can definitely lay them off and get the work done for way cheaper without having to worry about things like health insurance, benefits, vacation time!
You want to hire from india?
@@mahi24able No too expensive, I am thinking Haiti or the Congo.
@@the_derpler lol what are you building? An online calculator? The cost of a talent is directly proportional to the expertise it brings.
1:02 damn I thought this was going to be a relatable story lmao that caught me off guard
I wanna interview for Deel. Been trying hard since I've heard of you folks. Not getting the interview invites
I believe they're on track for over $200 million in ARR now, with crazy margins(like 85%). Simply mind blowing business. I wish more Silicon Valley startups would focus on getting to profitability instead of burning cash forever(...looking at you Uber).
uber may or may not be inflating costs so they don't have to pay taxes
Yeah it have high margins but would not grow much see this startup has too many competitors
I’m surprised they did well out of this, there are tons of payroll companies out there!
finally some realistic founder videos. Instead of a nobody, they open with Alex is really smart. dude has more degrees than all my family combined.
And look his age
thanks
HE'S CUTE AND SO COOL!! ❤
According Alex's Linkedin he went to MIT for his master's degree from 2013 to 2015. But her cofounder says "went to MIT at the age to 20, graduated from MIT at the age of 21", the math doesn't add up at all. So how (2013 to 2015) shrunk in one year?
Shuo linkedin says she left MIT in 2013 so would be weird they took class together. It's just part of the story, like Shuo's mother who came to US with "nothing" from China and suddenly imported "motocycle" (which isnt the cheapest stuff to import). The details are not important in the startup world ;)
It's a brand story they just narrated. Minor glitches here and there however users seem to say the product is hella dope.
It could be if you start on September 2013 and finish July 2015
if you stretch the birthdays it probably works. dont worry about it
Is this what matters to you?. Lol
Go Shuo!
when will you be on spotify?
Deel is love
Congratulations 🎉 to him and her on even making a Unicorn

Deel raised at a 12B valuation on 100m of ARR? 120x revenue? and they're still burning cash in 2022? and they're primarily a services company? yeah, it's a decent company, but holy balls, that valuation is incredibly inflated, especially because there are already other companies operating in this space (yes, they do what Deel does, they just don't get the press or probably have as nice of a UI). Well, best of luck!
They are also on 130 mill are track now so yeah it's overvalued
Can you give me two examples of such companies like deel does?
I saw their billboard on the 10 downtown La Lol
Damn... I should have accepted that AE job offer in 2020
[6:37] "Deel is Gusto for international contractors"가 "Deel은 다국적 고용인들의 열성 팬입니다"로 오역 되있습니다. Gusto는 회사명이니 "Deel은 xxx을 위한 Gusto 같은 서비스 입니다" 라고 설명하는 것이 맞을거 같습니다.
Hi Kevin, Thank you for your feedback. We just corrected it! Thank you!
Does anyone know how they do those mockups like in 03:58 ? Thank you!
work is infinite. pace yourself
Hello Alex! Great path. Very inspiring !
Actually the fastest growing startup (which also reached 100M ARR the fastest) is Wiz.
Hey, guys, well done, but why the music in the background? It's distracting
Could someone tell me the song at 5:11?
What does it mean in reality to be moving a different currency?
What are movements?
Also check out Bespin Global, SaaS company out of South Korea
The combination of "SaaS" and the noticeable jump cuts made me not realize this is not a youtube poop for like 30 seconds.
No cap pretty good type shit type shit
It's a deel!
$650m raised and $100m revenue is only a billion dollar company by SV math.
I got scammed on Deel.
If you're a contractor/freelancer, avoid at all costs.
The employer has all the power and can lock you out at any moment (like when you finished to work and before paying).
Not true, I mean it might happend to you but in general I think Deel is great. I worked 2 months for a company through Deel, and it was super smooth and easy. Also what you're saying is not 100% on Deel, the employer was the problem in this case.
@@jovanbelic it is true in my experience. People should know the risk and make their decision accordingly
@@daniel_q40 Hey Daniel - I'd like to hear more about you're experience. I can't find you on LinkedIn. Could you reach out to me?
their revenue is not what you think. itis payments to them wich they transfer to people. so basically itis like Paypal saying that they have 100m "revenue"
Like just it😊😮😮😮😮
How does 100M revenue equate to 15bill evaluation?
The faster it grows, the harder it hits
His company made me lose a work offer from a company in the US because I have a Syrian passport, although I live in Malaysia.
Please decrease the background music
Please french subtitle
So what is the difference between this and fiver.
I didn't understand the 1300 employee number. What the freelancers number
yea, coz another site says they have 120 people, this company is shady AF.
@@JuriBinturong I attended one of their parties. I still didn't get it they said in party 3500
Mr. Robot is that you ?
Customers! Customers!
net profit??
watch out for this firm. I work for a hedge found in partnership with deel. and I requested payment and got the money back. thereafter Deel contact my bank to return the money without my notice. as if I had fraudster . and until today. despite the appeals made. deel my more to follow up and my account is to remain blocked with my money.
Would you mind sharing more about your experience with me?
ATB
Of course she knows Muai Thai
how about ovo
Are you hiring?
How DF you graduate from MIT at 21. That's 2years. Bach's are 4 unless you double major
He went for a master's degree. probably .
I don't know why but all the big buck entrepreneurs are always mostly a wizard in school; they did this in 16 that in 17; like don't average students even have big dreams? Or are they not supposed to have?
Dropped out of PHD.😑
Also, Ripple the company has solved the problem of cross border payments for businesses- they need to partner with ripple or due out basically
