I understand how heartbreaking it must be to lose your husband, but to exchange your first born child to bring him back is CRAZYYYYY and SELFISHHHHH. I was like KILLL HERRRR lmao but then after speaking to her and realizing she just isn't the right headspace and needed someone to talk it through helped me to empathize with her.

you listed Astarion's outfit under basket of equipment but I don't see any outfit there that looks like that. Could it be a different outfit set? If you had talked to the fake palidns of Tyr before Karlach you would have got a very different cutscene you missed for the recording. It would have then continued with you finding Karlach, then bringing her back and letting her confront them. XD

I'm not ashamed to say I rage quit in Act 3 because I missed the grabby drow in Act 2 so it cut off my romance. I really think BG3 is the most user-unfriendly game in the world. The navigation is abysmal and the only hope I had were the interactive scenes. It's another mark against Larian that they have made a romance dependent on a quest that isn't the ro's companion quest. Especially when the entirety of Act 2 forces you to prioritise taking out Ketheric. Also don't get me started on how Laezel's quest forces you into Act 2 as well. It's worth about £2 for all the trouble it gives you. The whole thing actually needs a guide, you cannot play this game blind and actually feel like accomplished. So much of the main story is blocked behind secrets it is nonsensical. That's what makes the gameplay boring because you can't discover things yourself after being entrenched in guides. I am so unenthusiastic about the future of gaming. Bring back the days of DAO omfg 😤
Yes, if you are a completionist it is definitely a frustrating game. It's frustrating knowing that you still missed something after you've finished it for the 10th time.
I played blind, and I only missed less than five side quests in Act 1 and a few in Act 3. The game gives many hints on what to do. I find things based on what NPCs are saying in the background, books, what my companions tell me, etc. I don't leave an area until there is no more fog on my map. I even walk along edges to make sure there is no hidden or missed areas. I go through all doors and talk to everyone first because I want to understand the area I'm in before I confront significant people or else they have the homefield advantage over me. I talk to their subordinates and sneak into their rooms. I follow-up regularly with companions and NPCs after completing what feels like milestones in case they have something new to say. A lot of it us about playstyle. I'm very exploratory. It took me 343.3 hours to finish my first playthrough. The game can feel unguided because that's how DnD often feels. The DM doesn't usually hold your hand and tell you where to go. They build the world and hope you explore it. Larian wanted to make an authentic DnD experience (with a merciless DM) in video game format. I was just glad I could play DnD again because my campaign had been on haitus for years.
