I agree with Deb in thinking that many agents in France feel that Americans are not serious about buying. I came to the seminar FrenchEntree in London back in January (this year) and I have received very little follow-up from anyone I met and spoke to at that seminar. From that event, I have only had one agent contact me and I spoke with all of them. That was not an inexpensive trip for me to attend. I was very disappointed with the results. Not FrenchEntree's fault...I can only suspect it is what Deb said, that they feel Americans are not serious. I don't know how much more serious I can be than flying to London and attending a seminar to meet them and to initiate a search and sales process. I don't intend to sound angry...I'm just disappointed.

Hi Scott, We're so sorry to hear about your experience after attending the French Property Exhibition. The idea of getting so many estate agents and specialists under one roof is to help potential buyers like yourself advance their property search and get all the information they need. However, with so many attendees, sometimes individual queries can slip through the cracks. We'd love to help you on your journey to buying in France! If you'd like to email me, we can take a look together at how FrenchEntrée can assist you - debbie@frenchentree.com Kind regards, Debbie FrenchEntrée Property & Relocation Advisor
Curious if Gordon and Deb are keeping two health insurance policies, one for the US and one for France? We are concerned that if we move to France and get a policy there it will mean we are not covered in the US and if we ever return to the US we might be challenged with pre existing conditions being covered on our US policy. Any insight would be helpful.
