    I use a cheap 1/4 jack piano sustain pedal with my faderport 1 classic, night and day when recording guitar 🎸

    I've just recently gotten Studio One. I'm really debating the Faderport while it's on sale but I'm trying to decide between it or getting an iPad and using Studio One Remote Control. Both look helpful. I think I really like the tactile feel of the Faderport but not sure which might be better or even both but that may really be overkill.

    Why doesn’t the plug-in control work well with Tracktion Waveform? Thanks!

    Hello, I would like to ask - if I can control my cc parameters in plugins like vibrato or dynamics with this controller? The 10cm faders seems to be perfect for great precission BUT - since the faders are responsible for controlling channels volume like you mentioned - how can I reprogram them and is it possible at all? Thank you 🙏

      There is a button on here that changes it to plugin mode where you can control the parameters of whatever plugin you want.
      I have noticed that this feature doesn’t work the greatest in some of the lesser known DAWs though. But in the more popular ones it works well. Like Pro Tools, Studio One, Cubase, etc.
      But even if that feature doesn’t work in your daw, you could choose to not set it up as a daw control surface and instead use it as a regular midi controller similar to the way you would set up a midi keyboard in your daw. Then you could map it to whatever you want.

    Great vid. Do you still recommend getting this model despite it is around 7 years old?. I was trying to find some news about a next gen because I don't want to get this thing and the next morning a new one is out but couldn't find anything. Thanks.

      I still think this is a great daw controller. It’s probably the best value for what you get. I wish I knew if they were coming out with a new model any time soon but I have no insider information lol.

    Hey man. Great vid.
    I'm interested to know, would I be able to configure the FP8 for controlling the parameters of multiple plugins simultaneously?
    So say I want to control 2 fab filter pro Q3 plugins, side by side, is it possible? Thanks

    If I purchase a faderport from a second-hand would I be able to still download PreSonus?

    • @AudioTechTV
      @AudioTechTV  Рік тому

      If the person that you’re buying it from has already registered it then I don’t think you can get the Presonus Artist software and Studio Magic Bundle. There might be a way that they can transfer it to you but I’m not sure about that.

    IF there were knobs right above each fader this would be a perfect controller, not enough knobs to turn for plug ins

    • @AudioTechTV
      @AudioTechTV  20 днів тому

      @@mpsmanger4713 when in plugin mode the faders can be used to control plugin functions. It kind of feels clunky but works.
      If your main goal is to control plugins then check out the SSL UC1. It’s been great for a plugin controller.

    Bro, 500$ for just a couple of active shortcuts on your desk? Nah

    • @AudioTechTV
      @AudioTechTV  Рік тому +2

      If that’s how you view it then yes I can see $500 being way too much for that. I agree that daw controllers aren’t a necessity and really should be one of the last things you invest in after quality mics, interface, and any other gear that directly affects your sound. But once you have all the basics, and you get a daw controller it can be a big game changer when mixing and goes way beyond just being a couple of shortcuts on your desktop.
