First and have a dedicated section to soda
Try removing all products and replace them with the most expensive product to see whether you'll make some profit
I think for your storage room you should start in the back corner of the storage and then when you get the product in there u can be find it easy

I think you can collect items back from the shelf if you have a empty box which came with that particular product
You can I commented about that last video but I don’t think he saw it yet. Kinda waiting to see how long it takes him to figure out now.
Came on the first day and there was basically no stock and as I was checking out the store closed. I didn't no why bit the next I came almost tripped over the overflowing stock on the sidewalk but amazed by the stock and new output. Sadly I couldn't find anything to complain about. Then as I left I realized the safety issue in the storge room all in all 4/5 stars.
Some suggestions I’ve put on the steam page.
1. An option to customise shelf layout. Eg a 6 layer shelf with smaller gaps between that only allows small items to be place like salt of cakes
2.a door to the storage from inside the shop.
3. Full sign and shop customisations. Like colour and font. Etc.
4.ability to move the light switch so that you can place shelves in on the wall where it is currently.
5. A way to make custom dividing walls in the shop to make an office room.
6. Able to type the card cost on keyboard.
7. Able to make a new save without losing the previous one.
8. Housing and vehicles
9. Ability to choose where you want the shop to expand rather than it being pre designated.
10. Ability to buy multiple shops in different locations. Also possibly in different countries.
11. Keep adding character models. Already impressed with the amount at the current stage.
12. A grid option for light and furnitures.
13. A stock manager app on the computer, to see exactly what is needed.
14. Sign for the shop to go above aisles.
15. Ability to move the front door so shop front and layout can be more customisable.
16. Character customisation.
17. Multiplayer.
18. A salad or butcher bar or sushi bar etc.
19. Ability to add opticians, diners, banks etc in stores.
20. Ability to label shelves on the computer with what they hold and shelf layout (will work well with the stockers update)
21. Ability to place shelves, fridges and freezer 90 degrees of each other so there’s no need to put a gap in the corners.
22. Better npc pathing to checkouts that have less people in rather than choosing the closest one, also for them to leave longer queues to shorter ones.
23. If somebody want something and they are already queuing when you restock they should leave and go get it.
24. Stop people buying un priced products until priced.
25. Staff needs, fatigue ( staff work slower as it gets later), wages ( customisable so player needs to balance profit with staff needs), and emotions. Eg breaks, schedules, rather than just having one stay at the checkout all the time. Occasional strikes, retirement for staff, pension schemes, Overtime pay, Maternity and paternity leave, arriving late.
26. More staff models.
27. Clothing variety of customers. ( a lot wear suits)
28. Festivals for Christmas, Easter etc.
29. Groups of people going to shop like families.
30. Functional doors.
31. Interview option for hiring staff. ( picking correct questions so you have to decide who’s best for the shop)
32.self checkout
33. Advertising schemes ( custom leaflets, tasks to pass them out around the city)
34. Home delivery.
35. Fresh produce ( weighing and amount prices)
36. More serious customer complaints, lawsuits? Customer service desks.
37. Open front fridges like in uk supermarkets.
Maybe an option to upgrade check-out counters too, which can include a mini shelf for gum, chocolates, or cigarettes

I'd like the option to close a register. When I first started a game, I bought a second register thinking I would just jump in when things got really busy and I'd keep stocking in the meantime. Obviously that didn't work lol
You can re orginise your products by taking them off the shelf putting them into the box and putting them out again. No prob😅
You know most people don’t know that especially when you left out the detail on how to do that. Even in steam discussion most people didn’t know.

FYI, you can grab old stocks with empty box, so you can move them around if needed.

Here's 2 tips: 1. You don't need to put box on ground to see if empty - just close it and if there are no food pics it's empty! 2. You don't need to type in the last 0 after the decimal on register! If 21.00 just type 21 and enter, if 21.50 just type 21.5 and enter. Small but it is a time saver!
I think that you need to buy all products and place them in the storage, then empty the shop and place every product in the right place, so you can resort your store, have no complaints about items not in stock and can see products needed and which one is selling good
Have the shelves go on the the back so people don’t have to walk in and out. Add a shelf to the front as an end cap which the game needs that feature if it doesn’t

Like the content. I’m also playing the game too but enjoy watching you play as well. Please use the left click to take products off shelf and organize. It’s driving me crazy lol.
You can use the empty boxes to move products around as long as the box your holding is the same for the items. I.E Zap soda box can pick up all the other sodas as well. Just right click to pick them up would make moving stuff around a little bit easier at lease.

Looks like you can go up to a shelf with an empty box and pull the product off the shelf to reorganize locations of products. Try it

What I have been doing for now to make it easier then using the storage room is to have an extra shelf and extra fridge and I just put all the overflow in them for now...also helps if ur running low on something u kinda have a backup plan...doesn't look pretty right now but it helps alot
What this game needs?

Designated shelves, and all shelves have a ghost of what was in the place before.

Auto buy, min/max levels of all items
Automatic light placer
Roof hanging signs
Ability to close counter without removing it
Remove items from shelves (looks like it max exist already).
Also at most buy 2 to 3 more licences else you WILL hate the game it becomes impossible without an excel sheet to keep track of your stock and current prices.
There’s a new update with a door that goes to the storage room, and the door unlocks when you get to level 3 size of the storage room! Also, shelves for the storage room!
I would organize the shelves in aisles, honestly take inspiration from your local grocery store. Mine has baking supplies and ingredients together, the fridges and freezers together, the premade products together, etc. also, I’m fairly certain you don’t actually need 3 shelves for toilet paper. I’d reorganize, do a crazy overhaul. And no more than 2 shelves of any given product! You may have to restock a bit more often but itll give you the room for variety you really need
Imagine going go the newly opened corner store near your apartment. It was simple things you would normally get as snacks. A week passes by. And the corner store has no become 6x bigger, has a storage room, has 2 workers, is flocked by people, is jam packed with products and furniture, and has an ENTIRE OCEAN OF BOXES SITTING OUTSIDE ON THE SIDEWALK.
Now that's what I call. Thriving.

You probably could move the double-sided isle opposite the fridges closer to the fridges, and put up a second double-sided isle parallel to it. Would be a bit tight, but would actually be more realistic, when i think of actual (german) supermarkets, especially small ones.

There should be some sort of automated inventory ordering. Set the amount of stock you want and as it’s bought. It auto orders in whatever amount it comes in so you always have product replacement

You can take stuff off the shelf by left clicking on it with the box
What I do with the storeroom is I buy some excess product, stick it in the store room and after each day before I open I restock the product fully, so I don't have to worry about running out mid-day.
Also, with the newest update the Dev(s) added storage shelves, they're very useful and helped me organize the storage room a ton.
the new update that just came out is cool, makes the storage area alot better

It would be cool if they gave you a scan tool. You could scan a shelf and it will tell you how much it left or how much you need. You could then access that list when you order.

@camodo i found a way to do your "tablet" move the computer around like a laptop
this works particularly well when you are taking inventory for replemishment
When you have an empty box for a specific product you can add it back into the box to move it
Yeah they definitely need a stocker and as tou say a grid layout so the shelves line themselves up easily. Im really surprised that this simulator doesnt have some of the type of features your other simulators had. Im sure as time goes on though it will get better because man i cant imagine trying to do this game with everything unlocked. It be just impossible.

i feel like it would be good to have a stockist, ie you can set what product goes on what shelf and its there job to keep shelfs stocked when it goes below half full. and if they need stock they create a list for you to order. also shelving in the store room you can put boxes on.lastly i feel like a spoilage machanic would be good. yes alot of what you have in game has a long shelf life but things like bread and dairy normaly only last for a short time. eg when you star the day say there is a % chance for each loaf of bread or fridged items to go mouldy, or if you leave milk out it spoils in an hour or so.
I think that maybe you should keep that middle isle, and also I love this series👍👍👍

You could change the shelves so its easier to see how is the products. Like it is you have to go around, not so efficient
So weird how so much is out of stock so fast in most stores you have always somebody that keeps on stocking something and they have a storage that have lots of stuff in it so they keep us able to do that of course there are some exceptions to that rule a few but that's very rare and this store , You have this whole week long also are there no Sundays in this game where you have like a chill day that nobody can come that you can just get new store stuff since that's one of the things that's also missing in this game a freaking Sunday where people can just not be here maybe this is just my country thing , Maybe in America there is a lot of stores open on Sunday but that seems like a little bit overkill I don't know why I loved it I give it 5 stars for a beginner store it's pretty good can I wait to see how this story is gonna be in the future

You can place boxes on top of your fridges
This is the most confusing store I've ever been to. Every time I visit, everything's moved around, and it takes forever to find what I need. I was passing by on my way to my favorite coffee shop, and saw the owner running back and forth with massive piles of boxes that were just sitting on the sidewalk next to a trash can, rambling to himself the entire time. How does he have enough breath for both running and talking so much? Meanwhile his lazy employee just stood there like a mannequin, watching him go do everything himself. And the boxes on the sidewalk, no way is that sanitary, has anyone ever contacted the health department about this?!
You should do the walk around the middle shelf
