Oh boy. Can’t wait for the sequel and what the Islander pilot had to say. Was it confrontational or did he have sound logic?
Bottom line is that Marsh Harbor is a non-towered airport. Locals have been flying straight in forever. He didn’t want to get delayed.
@@SkylineBaronPilot my family used to operate an islander out of PR. They know the airspace so well they just do what they do. Economics of running two engines for profit and fixed ticket prices means every minute additional is less profit. But safety should be paramount. Your Baron is so beautiful
Thumbs up 👍 the local community still needs to follow proper procedures. The problem is the local ATC, is not doing their job! Could be worse 😢
They certainly have their ways. Marsh should get someone in their tower for sure.
wild wild west in Abaco after they did not re open the control tower. Would be fun to work all of that traffic

Very interesting, thanks as always. A thought as a complete non-pilot amateur - could you have issued a NOTAM to inform the Marsh Harbour 'locals' that you would be arriving according to the procedure that had been developed?

Eric is SEL (single engine land) he was flying our 182. Since then, I got all the ratings to fly him around.

The Skylane clearly said "Treasure" meaning Treasure Cay. Not Marsh Harbor. Same freq, different airport. I don't follow the confusion.
