TF2 Speedrun : Jump Academy as engineer in 7 minutes 50 seconds (no sentry buffs)

- Yes, I've been trying to speedrun this map as engi, this is meanless but I don't care. :)
This is a record of my best time on the map, I'm sorry for the quality and the fact that I couldn't put any music and I hope you'll still enjoy.

PS : By (No buffs), I mean that the sentry's rate of fire or bullet knockback are not increased as they are in a lot of speedrun videos as engi
I know that I had buffed rate of swing for this video but I thought it was a better idea to do it with the server plugins that are always on jump academy servers
Recorded on Jump Academy EU1 (fast melee plugin but nothing about building speed/rate of fire I think)

Master William! I already answered this question, the doubled rate of fire doesn't compensate for the way weaker knockback, however you can still do most PvP maps jumps with a minisentry

Nice! I am atm trying to clear the Timed Challenges as Engie. I can clear the first 5 but 6 and above are more than I am able to do. Wondering if you have had any better luck with them.

A tried to do this a year ago but got discouraged at walls 10 and left. Proud to say after a year I finally beat jumpacademy in just under 3 hours.

There are some servers that allow you to set up the sentries faster, you could set up a new record in one of these
I wanted not to... the goal is not to be the fastest by bending the game rules, I made that record on the original EU server.

On jump academy 2 the sentry builds straight away..
well, that was easier than what i had in mind
one part of the "work" is to find what would cost you the less time including mistakes... as example, the whole pogo course is doable without dispenser, you can do the last pogo jump just by dropping a lv 1 sentry on the first platform and jumping from there but I know it would take too many tries to get that done in a speedrun
the course is doable in less than 6:30 with the actual addons and the map changes

In the server browser. You need to write down "jump_academy_easy" to find a server that has it and you may download it from some certain servers.
