Terminator conversation, yes omg would love that, about the game, the movies, the show/ride, the comics, anything. Maybe you could do a live stream with us sometime playing the game?
Yes, maybe you could talk about the company itself and how they've evolved and have honed their craft from Rambo, terminator to RoboCop and what you would like to see them tackle next. For me I'd love to see them try Judge Dredd
I finally got this game on sale and played through it. I work like 6 days a week for about 65 hours on average. Gaming may still be my favorite pastime but since I have so little time to play, it takes a hell of a game to actually draw me in from start to finish. It has to be something I'm either incredibly hyped about like Resident Evil 4 or Spider-Man 2 man. Or it has to be something that is just that genuinely good that I find myself sucked into it even if it is a game I was unsure of. And this is one of those games. I love the franchise but I wasn't necessarily ever expecting anybody to make a quality video game out of it. But I just beat this game in about a week, which for me is pretty good cuz I'm mostly just playing it on the weekends. The combat is fun, the world is so lovingly crafted to the first two films, and there is a certain charm about it that reminds me of old school semi-open first person shooters like Deus ex. I love interacting with the fellow cast back at the police station, I love wandering around that little Detroit block and getting into shenanigans with side characters solving side plot threads that can either feel pretty major or can be something as ridiculous as Robocop finding lost cats. And I absolutely loved going through so many of those recreated locations from the first two films to have firefights wear just everything is reactive. There isn't a piece of the environment that doesn't scatter with debris when you shoot it and it's awesome. There's a couple of negatives, every time the camera switches angles during dialogue visuals kind of tend to linger too long and look all scratchy as the frame shifts, throwing enemies into walls is glitchy and you constantly instead throw them right through the walls, not like breaking through them just clipping through them, the boss fights all really kind of suck exception of parts of the final fight. Basically parts of this game just really remind you that it's a budget title, but none of it outweighs the amount of love and care that goes into this game that ultimately pulls you into it and immerses you in it even if there are things that are distracted It made me immediately want to go and rewatch the first two movies
Please never stop what you do Jake because you’re the biggest breath of fresh air in this gaming space. Your genuineness shines every time you post, and it was what made me such a big fan of gameranx in the first place. You’re a gem!
Yep, I am an old man gamer (mid 40’s y’all) and I get tired of the drama. So it’s nice just to see others with a similar mindset on films and games. Seems like 80’s and 90’s kids are the only cool people left 😂
@@JakeBaldinoJust stumbled upon this video after buying Robocop (haven’t yet played). I just wanted to say you are amazing. God bless you Jake! Merry Christmas❤️
This game is the definition of trust the process at first it’s so slow and you die easily and by then end you got a full auto 9 a blast wave, a dash, mad health it’s just awesome
You can really tell the people who made it love robocop, the game has a soul and care to it that alot of other games seem to lack. I played it not knowing anything about robocop too and came away loving it, then watched the films and became a big fan. Its a really great little game and I hope they do more.
I watched a let's play of the game when it came out and thought it looked like absurd fun, with all the gore and interactive environment. I then watched the movie shortly after, having seen parts of it, but never really sitting down to watch it. I immediately fell in love with the satirical nature of the world with all of the commercial interstitials, but also the depth in which Peter Weller plays a man who is wrestling with whether or not he's still who he was, or just a machine with fragments of his previous life lingering in him. I then bought the game and had a blast, for the reasons you talked about. Every little detail from the car sparking on the way out of the garage, to the mission in the video store where everything you talk about is a reference to the franchise or those who worked on it. This game is a love letter to RoboCop and as a newly converted fan, I really enjoyed it.
Hey man i gotta tell you, you are probably my favorite video game content creator and this a great example of why. Before watching this video I had never seen any of the movies or played any of the games. I have since binged the original trilogy and i loved it, I haven’t gotten the game yet but is at the top of my list just gotta save some money and wait for a sale. The passion shines through and makes up where the budget and perhaps development time could suffer and that to me makes a difference, once u get the core right I can excuse many issues
This game was so kickass definitely an underrated gem of the year. In my top 5 of the year for SURE! Graphics are beautiful the gameplays addicting and the shooting is so satisfying. I just really want a new game plus just so I can go through the game again as absolutely roboGod
Being someone who was only able to watch the sequel movies within the past couple of years actually, this series is just the right type of cool for its time, and still remain cool for those of us with that older soul. Hoping this game is under the tree
by far my favorite video on this channel. you could just immediately see how excited you were to talk about the game, flaws and all. I'd stepped away from it because other stuff released but this is my push to play through it this weekend
I grew up watching Robocop and Lethal Weapon on VHS. The 3rd Robocop so many times. I was too young to be watching those type of movies for sure, but my brothers had them on VHS and nobody ever stopped me. Great movies. I played the game and it's a good representation of the films, imo. Also, Jake, if you read this, that PC looks amazing. Take good care of it! 4090's aren't easy to find, at reasonable prices.
Robocop rogue city is the reason I bought a PS5 (along with Spider-Man 2) I was hyped for it when it was announced and got it as soon as I could! It didn't disappoint and was worth the new console and the whole nine yards! I love the first two movies a lot (third on is okay, not as bad as people make it out to be, but it's still bad!) It could've benefitted from more music and more dynamic cutscenes as a lot of them feel kinda sterile and lifeless! The shooting part was great and the versitility of upgrades and combat is really well done! I will be replaying multiple times in the foreseeable future!
I was born in 1977 so rented out all the 80's classics as a kid from the video store Robocop, Terminator, Predator all the horrors good time's before people bothered about age certificates. I'm definitely the target audience for this, and it's a great robocop game it really nails the brief. You could argue it's an average shooter but it's fun just being robocop and throwing perps around never gets dull.
i dont remember on which video you said it but you said "please go and buy robocop" and since i too grew up watching the films, i did, and i had a blast. the game does a great job at showcasing what robocop is really all about. i dont have any major complains, the game is very, very good and alot of fun, i was surprised on how good the city looks and how well they were able to capture the anarchy element going on around you, i really hope they make more games and i would also like to watch a video of you talking about the robocop movies.
Commenting without watching the video to avoid game spoilers (love the RoboCop films though) but I have to say after literally finishing terminator resistance on series X tonight, I'm excited. Yeah it was a bit clunky and the graphics were a bit shoddy but the vibes, grud damn, were they in point. When the theme tune kicks in it's awesome, or when first coming across a T-800 it's "scary", I really enjoyed it and I'm now definitely going to get RoboCop when I can afford it
12:02....When you mentioned "Stomping around a police station", I got instant nightmare flashbacks of Mr. X stomping around stalking me in the Resident Evil 2 Remake police station. Good lord was that game so good. But so traumatic as well (in the best way possible).
Excellent. I've been on the fence about getting it. I too am a huge Robocop fan. I was 11 when it came out (yes I'm old lol) and remember seeing it in the theater for the first time. I think now after hearing your thoughts and knowing that you are a Robocop fan too, I'll just pull the trigger and play it.
The boss fights were so incredible. We should praise AA games more. And Teyon's improvement since Rambo to Terminator to Robocop is also really stellar.
Man so many memories, loved the NES robocop and NES batman. The music was so amazing and the games were fun. Remember playing Friday and Saturday nights.
6:41 pure zany insanity - that's one of the qualities that I liked about RAGE 2, but it got panned. I loved playing that game from start to finish; wild, mad, non-stop fun.

After missing it completely in my childhood (cusper millennial), I credit you and ShillUp entirely with converting me into a Robocop Stan. Played the game FIRST, weirdly, then watched both movies (I’m told we don’t talk about the third). Do that movie episode!
I'm no expert on Robocop since I've never watched any movies but even I can tell that no matter the changes made to him he is still just a cop deep down. So it makes sense he would help other officers, issue parking tickets and find lost cats. I really wish there could have been a dedicated button for the gun spin though.
Hey Jake I have a video idea recommendation. I'd like to hear your video game Christmas memories. Whether it be specific holiday themed game releases, childhood christmas gifts, mulitplayer holiday themed seasons, etc
Weird/cool or none of the above to see someone way younger than me really into this (now) fairly old stuff. Your boundless enthusiasm is refreshing, not just here, but all over. Nice. I saw RoboCop on a pirate video (VHS baby) a million years ago. Ropy AF copy, crap sound, static flooded, awkward tracking, 1000 re-copied garbage... but I really (really) liked it - the film, story and concept. Cool (yes, going with cool) that it still resonates. And also cool that the game (in a fans eyes, in this case yours) pretty much lands. Basically mate, more vids on Robocop, Terminator will always be welcome... maybe others such as Total Recall, perhaps that game has been considered by these guys? Maybe. 2 weeks... 2 weeks... Anyways, cheers from over the pond and all the best.
I really relate to how you first found Robocop. I was also a 90s kid in the UK who was handed down a Sega Mega drive with a bunch of games . One of the games was Robocop Vs Terminator and I was obsessed with it and the characters in it. Anyway thanks for all the great videos and Merry Christmas 🎄
Enjoyed the game, would like to see some patches to add in some more music, ambient tracks when exploring. As well as fixing up the texture pop in a bit
Being a fan of the original film franchise from the 80's, I absolutly love this game. The amount of fun I had playing meant that I never wanted it to end. Ive had four playthroughs and enjoyed each one. The combination of it being well done, nostalga and fun factor has made it the best game of 23 for me and the most fun Ive has in years. I hope Teyon bring out a New Game + for this as the game could especially benefit from this. I would also welcome DLC. The fact that Weller was back as Robocop was icing on the cake for me.
I am not a robo cop fan and didn't even know there was more then 1 movie. I got this for free and popped it in. I freaking love it! I immediately bought the 1st movie in 4k and I can't find the 2nd one on anything but dvd 😢. This game made me a fan.
Are you kidding? Yes I (we?) would love to hear you talk about the Robocop movie. This could just be a Robocop channel and I would keep coming back to watch your videos.
I've said this before, but straight up, I love hearing your thoughts on anything. Whether it's you painting a room or talking about your favorite movies, down to your takes on games I just like hearing you talk about anything...just my 2 cents
It’s such an awesome game, thanks for highlighting, I’ve been so immersed, they’ve mixed the the banal with the ultra violence perfectly, getting signatures for a get well soon for Lewis being hilarious 😂
Great game, that I completed the other day. Thoroughly enjoyable, due to the frequent references to the original movie, a must play for anyone who liked that film! It's also the first game I'm willing to play again straight away on a harder setting, seeing as you get to keep the gun upgrades and XP, allowing you to be a more powerful Robocop, which creates a different experience for the second run!
i played robocop on steamdeck and i added 2 sound mods for the foot steps and auto 9 to sound like the movie versions and i was so amazed i love robocop so i was so excited for this and god this is like what robocop 3 movie should have been this is a perfect robocop game 10 /10 for me highly recomend if you are a fan of robocop the original movies
That was wonderful to hear, yeah RoboCop is my all time favourite movie too and it wasn't until a friend wanted to know my top 10 movies were that I realized this I didn't want to say something stereotypical like Star wars which to be honest? I cooked down alot on and it's no longer a top 10 movie for me, but RoboCop that somehow balanced great fun action with deep concepts like the man in the machine
Just completed the game, and overall, I really love it. It looks great for the most part, it ties in very, very well into the Robocop lore, it makes you want to search every nook and cranny for XP and upgrade loot, and it's just actual fun to shoot the bad guys as a near invincible badass. Killing bad guys alongside an ED-209, only to then shortly thereafter having to defeat it is totally awesome! It's pretty crazy to look at how much the studio improved with every new game they release. There are things to complain about and some wasted potential here and there, but it feels like a game made by someone who really loved the original movie! Unfortunately a rare thing these days.
I am a Terminator & Robocop Fan . Great to see what Teyon is doing these days... I bought terminator resistance with the DLC annihilation line along with Robocop Alex murphy edition . I am so loving this. Would love to see Alien vs Predator by Teyon on your channel. btw Terminator Survivors is coming soon.
Love RoboCop, Peter Weller and most of the media (pardon the third movie). You can ramble about the first movie here and I'll be all for it! I remember the TV series and wonder if you ever saw it?
This game looks FUN. Like old school fun. One thing I miss about older games - like with my OG PlayStation - is just being able to boot up and play something simple. No story, just blasting away or fighting to blow off steam. Don’t get me wrong, my fave games are action RPGs with deep stories and rich characters, but sometimes you just want to dust a bunch of bad guys.
Some great nods to the movie, the Police station was ridiculously good as was the steel mill where Murphy dies, OCP and even Murphy’s house. Was a little disappointed there were no mentions of Clarence Boddicker though.
I dug it. Had that game as well. Good times. I love all of the details in this game. It could have been even more over the top with the NPC's. These guys are definitely getting better as a studio. I'd be down for a movie video discussion. Watch party?
should I talk about Terminator: Resistance here? maybe during a quiet game release month...
absolutely.

Here to support Jake, love your stuff!
As well as fixing up the texture pop in a bit
completed the game today, agree, pop-ins were really noticeable
Bro i rewatched it after playing the game, first time since watching it as a kid. STILL GOATED.
It ain’t quite midnight yet but hey man I just wanted to say merry Christmas man! Hope you and your family are enjoying the holidays!
This game was a real surprise for me this year. It was a good time. I kinda wish it had a new game plus 😄😄😄
I'm glad AA games like this still can come out and be based on a movie franchise. But also be good in its own regard.
Awww how nice they put a picture of falcon on the tower
Chalk outline in the steel mill. Ooof right in the feels!!!
I had an absolute blast with RoboCop, definitely one of my favourites of 2023
Being a fan of the original film franchise from the 80's, I absolutly love this game.
I love the OG robocop game. Grew up loving robocop and the movies. ROGUE CITY IS AMAZING
That music on that game was pretty sick when I played it back in the day
Are you kidding? Yes I (we?) would love to hear you talk about the Robocop movie. This could just be a Robocop channel and I would keep coming back to watch your videos.
I have so many good memories of playing Robocop vs. The Terminator on the Sega Megadrive!
I've said this before, but straight up, I love hearing your thoughts on anything. Whether it's you painting a room or talking about your favorite movies, down to your takes on games I just like hearing you talk about anything...just my 2 cents
That NES Robocop cartridge definitely brings back good memories.
Personally I've never seen the robocop movies but have always been intrigued, I would love to hear you go on a deep dive into it.
It’s such an awesome game, thanks for highlighting, I’ve been so immersed, they’ve mixed the the banal with the ultra violence perfectly, getting signatures for a get well soon for Lewis being hilarious 😂
Robocop is the shiznit.
If you’re a fan, I recommend the Frank Miller Comics. He does what Robocop 2 was going to be and it’s great 👍🏻
Great game, that I completed the other day.
Shoutout to the Robocop theme for the Gameboy game too, wildly good lol.
Over the top
My mom had an Atari 2600 growing up. My first council was in NES back in 1992
That was wonderful to hear, yeah RoboCop is my all time favourite movie too and it wasn't until a friend wanted to know my top 10 movies were that I realized this I didn't want to say something stereotypical like Star wars which to be honest? I cooked down alot on and it's no longer a top 10 movie for me, but RoboCop that somehow balanced great fun action with deep concepts like the man in the machine
always take your time with the greats man
I just ordered the game after i saw this video cant wait to play it! Thank you for this trip to your childhood and those Robocop memories. 😄💭
Damn man, great review, i have nearly the same exact feelings about this game and Robocop movie in general :D good stuff
This game is an epic old school shooter that brings me back to gaming 20 years ago
Love RoboCop, Peter Weller and most of the media (pardon the third movie). You can ramble about the first movie here and I'll be all for it! I remember the TV series and wonder if you ever saw it?
Do it all Jake. This video has given me the confidence to jump in and buy it.
Something that captured that 80s sci fi action movie feel was Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon
The game was a sweet surprise! Loved it!
I finished the game 3 times and Platinumed it.
Thanks for the video. Picked it up on sale and will check it out.
