After every video I watch of Nicks , I end up on EBay looking at boats I want.. sat there realising my budget only stretches to a kayak with a sleeping thrown in and powered by a hair dryer 👍👍

I love this boat. Though looking at that grill up top on the fly bridge, it concerns me how close it is to all those cushions, like grease splatter could become an issue. Maybe it has splatter screens that I just didn't see, or maybe those could be added make shift, just a thought. I always liked the idea of a flat place in the back of a boat, outside, where a small charcoal hibachi could be put to be used for steaks and burgers, but outside away from anything that could stain or burn. Or maybe one built in but still outside. Love the two great bedrooms, and the shade that can be put up on the flybridge. Also love that the kitchen was moved to the rear of the interior, and the living section in the middle.
You are correct. We ordered ours with the Beach Club option which is a bbq and sink built into the stern and a refrigerated drawer on the fly bridge rather than the bbq….more seating and easier to serve dinner. We love our boat…thanks Nick for reviewing…enjoy all your videos and were a big help when we were shopping.

Those Cummins 6BTs can be built up to 2x-3x their standard power. And if you build them for 3x and only make them output 2x, they're as reliable as stock. I wonder how fast this boat could scoot with double the power.
Finally something that suits my budget.

I’m just here to see what inside a yacht looks like. I would like to own one when I have the income. Nothing too ridiculously expensive, a mini floating house/car with little amenities like this one.
This might be a dumb question 🙋 Can you hook up to sewer when the boat is at the dock.
What would you guess would be the operating and maintenance cost of this yacht per year, when using it 2 months in the med in summer and it being in the marina the other 10, for example?

Hi love your channel even though I’m not into boats . Question for you I noticed the prestige 420 was on the side of the boat . How can you tell the model of a sunseeker or any others if make and model not visible. Ie car have badges & names . Thanks Norman
They normally do have the badge on the side somewhere

@@normaninnes3296 Yes, usually I can. It's a bit like cars, I might comment on 'that BMW over there' from a distance side on, and Marianne will say 'how do you know it's a BMW?' If you know cars you can just tell. Same, mostly, with boats.

You know it's a great boat when there's free clothes in the locker.
I don't understand boat terminology to save my life.. So the cockpit is at the very back, not where the helm is.. The saloon is the dining room... Think I'll just stick to watching instead of trying to suss it all out. Always love seeing the engine bays.

Even if I most likely never will become an owner of such a boat, I love Nick's videos because they give me an insight of something, I would only see at a fare or so. Again: Well done, Nick! I was always in mine. Funny story for you: so the weld cracked on my intercooler and I had to pull off the high pressure oil lines. Unbeknownst to me that they were high pressure. So the gf is sunbathing on the bow, I'm working on the engine (rear hatches) and I undo a line and SPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS oil everywhere. All over me, the engine compartment, my eyes looked like two moons in the darkest night. The gf heard me hollar and looked over the windshield WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED lolol

Really like this boat, love the idea you can create a utility room as well.
As a Sport Cruiser, this boat has a lot going for it. Yet, it could pass for a trawler when it comes to the conveniences of living aboard. But as a sports boat it appears well equipped for some fast fun. There is a lot to like about it - especially TWO heads and two well appointed cabins. No over crowding designed in - like "some" 40 footers. This one is a roomy, good looking boat. Thanks, Nick another good one.
Simple but stylish and the right size for me, don’t like flys with Bimini tops so would love it as a hard top, if weight wasn’t an issue.

yup thats best power saving idea fridge needs no power the chilled dense air is heavier drops to floor level crazy why all fridge freezers not like this
Not such a crazy idea - the ice for your drinks is always close to hand.
Hot air rises... but I forgot what happens to Cold air...
Using the freezer to passively cool the fridge, based on efficiency or trust in science I guess.

Loved it, so much space below deck due to the v-drive systems. Wasn't expecting two spacious double cabins and heads. Goes to show, you don't need a huge amount of footage with well thought out designs. Thx Nick.

I think I've seen too many of your videos, because I look at this and go "oh, only £500k, that's a good price!" It's still HALF A MILLION POUNDS; yes it's a good price but 3x what I paid for my house and 10x what I paid for my car!!!

A flybridge always gives a huge amount more space so I think it’s great to have, but having said that something like a princess V60 would be huge amounts of fun with the huge open roof. Anyway I’m getting sidetracked this is a great boat filmed by a great person, thanks Nick!

Big yacht luxury in 42 feet.... NICE......It has everything you need.... and more. Nice fit and finish, real wood or wood products. Nice design... 3 Nice's = beauty. Range a little short, but made 5for short cruise and more for hanging out at the harbor. Perfect for 2, but 4 comfortable, in a pinch with kids 6 easy. (Did you mention price?) I looked for Prestige 420 2020/2021 prices and found prices of $797K and $879K usd... If that is new price for newest model it is a huge BARGIN. Most of the prices were not listed or price on request or call for price. The older models 2015 to 2019 for example can be found for $400K usd on up, typically $450k to $550k usd range give or take. Really a lot of boat for the money.

I love this man's tours...30 knts...that isn't hanging around! The MDF inner space is truly grim, why not some decent pine or something nice to look at> MDF looks like MFI...I've been spoiled I think looking at more expensive yachts but that laminated MDF looks horrid. Truly....that would make be shy away from this boat...it looks tacky!! Sorry!!
Is the 500k base price? Surely it can't be this cheap? There must be a ton of extras that they don't mention. I'm just getting into your videos so I'm not expert but I can't help but feel slightly sceptical. I should stop convincing myself that I could even afford this in the future anyway, but I can dream I guess 😂
Wow, 40 foot boats are coming along quite nice in these modern times, however the price is too much, manufacturers need to stop blaming the pandemic on everything, this boat is 80,000 to 100,000 overpriced.

Someday I wanna start a vehicle company with boats and cars etc. but the twist is all of it is a electric car with solar and charging port. And yes I know they have solar panel yachts, but I don’t want it to look dorky. And i could make cheap ones.

Great boat. The only thing i would like and change is for the day head to have a separate shower, and for there to be a washer dryer unit somewhere else. So you have to give up a head for a washer dryer? You cant have both?
And i really dislike the location of the tv. I think thats the worst location for a tv. The best location and where i would like for them to have, is a sliding tv behind the love seat thats behind the captains chair.

A darn nice boat. My only suggestion. Boat builders think hard. Maybe a deeper sink and a high faucet in order to wash a stock pot.

Getting my kitchen sorted out at the moment and so know that the wood is the wrong colour, especially in the VIP cabin.
Maybe I missed it in the beginning but what year is this yacht? I had to go back and see and I couldn’t find it, but with that the type of TV they put on that yacht then this must be an older yacht p; with all this other beauty I see I would expect a nice large flatscreen TV that came out of the same cabinet that there think that I guess you could call the TV came out of.
Can we order this boat with side terrase for more place? Like Galeon 400 fly have...
The one flaw I see on all these boats is that the sitting areas inside look like they would be Terribly uncomfortable. Would love to see one with a nice comfortable couch are chair. I wouldn't make it through dinner sitting on those cushioned benches.
If I had the money that would be the perfect size for me. 30 would be too small and 50 too big
