KC is absolutely gorgeous, and so even-tempered, so calm- I hope she bred him at least once in his lifetime so his genetics could continue because calm horses are worth their weight in money, they're the absolute best.

Oh my natural goodness! How sad! I understand Ruth's feelings all too well. Some horses are better companions than a dog!
And I LOVE my dogs, but there is nothing like a good horse that is "connected" to its person and vice versa.
I had a Quarter (Pokey - my first horse ever) who "knew" how to and LOVED to barrel race: Pokey would kind of trot in place at the gate anticipating the POP to GO! I could literally feel his excitement at the gate. As a 10 to 12 year little girl all I had to do with Pokey was HOLD the HELL on and catch those barrels as he cut around them.
Pokey would hit those barrels so hard that they would tip to fall over, but he "knew"! He knew they weren't supposed to fall. I don't know how to explain to any that has never seen a barrel race, but Pokey had a way of cutting into the barrel lowering his hind as he cut around catching the barrels with his hip / butt to catch the barrel giving me a split second to stand the barrel back up with my hand and off to the next barrel. Exhilarating feeling of that team work - though he was doing all the real work!
Pokey would follow me as a dog, look for me, always ready to race or ride in the fields, loved to be groomed and when he was kicked by another horse breaking his leg and had to be put down I was devastated! I never barrel raced again.

Animals like that are 1 in a million, so when they pass it’s like losing a piece of your soul. I think the horse survived his first heart attack because he loved his owners so much he wasn’t ready to say goodbye. And sometimes fate gives us those last precious moments with those special ones 💕😢

Dr. Pol is an awesome vet he is hands on he smells he even at times taste gross but he does what he has to do for the welfare of the animal he has a sixth sense about an animal he's like an animal whisperer!

Vishal Jadhav I suspect what was heard was an irregular heartbeat. Horses don't suffer heart attacks the way people do, what actually happens 90% of the time a horse is diagnosed this way is due to a full or partial rupture of a major aortic vessel. There is zero you can do to correct this, the horse bleeds out internally and dies, they do not survive. They are trying to discuss this in a way that puts an upbeat spin on it for television but the reality was this horse had no chance of survival, my suspicion is that Dr. Pol was trying to save the owners the cost of euthanasia solution. Most die faster than the solution can act though a partial rupture may allow them to soldier on for a couple hours, but the death will follow the same course so there is no real reason to spend $300+ on euthanasia and end with a corpse considered toxic by most states that will cost another $300+ to dispose of.

Genuine question, what do you do with a dead horse, when my dog died we buried him, he has a grave stone and is surronded by flowers, whenever a bird hit our window and died we would do the same, a horse is massive idk what you would do with one after it passed
