Really sad.... One of the most underrated voices ever... Unbelievable that he went unnoticed. He drips soul in every word he sings... Such a powerful voice too...
I prefer Eric to any other singer Slash has been in a band with, Axl being the exception. World on Fire was amazing, though. I would argue Slash's best since GNR.
100% agree. Shame about the second snakepit album. Thought the vocalist was wack (if you excuse my language) and the album was really boring but this album, a masterpiece.

Myles has a beautiful, clean voice. Eric's is gravelly and distorted and full of all that powerful edge. They're both great vocalists in their own right.
The first Snakepit album was all stuff Slash had written for a new Gnr album buy Axl didn't want to use. Neither Can I, Beggars, Back and Forth, What Do You Want To Be were all killer songs too it sucks Dover was singing them instead of Axl, same with the first 5 songs from the 2nd Snakepit album.
Eric is amazing, man, he really fits in. Rod too. You know, Slash always was able to find great vocalists. I'm just not a fan of Myles. Myles is too perfect for the Rock N' Roll scene.
Ofc, I ain't denying it at all. He's an amazing singer. However, with Slash's heavily distorted guitar sounds, a clean voice like Kennedy's just doesn't sound right, that's just my opinion.

I'm probably going to get crucified for saying this but I think the 2 Slash's Snakepit albums were the best records Slash ever made. I like them much more than Guns (Axl annoys me), Velvet Revolver and his stuff with Myles Kennedy. Both Eric Dover and Rod Jackson were great soulful singers.
Slash's Snakepit is a very underrated band. I was amazed by Eric Dover's voice its very bluesy and soulful and really fits the music well. I love Axl Rose to death but i cant picture him singing the Slash's Snakepit stuff. Slash made the right choice hiring Eric Dover. I love this song so much.
