I love Eric Dover. Five o' Clock Somewhere is my favorite album. I have listen to every single album Slash has made and this in my opinion is his best work.
i love how snakepit ranged from like heavy crazy to slow soft ballad to roadhouse jams man i wish i could have seen them i think its way better than VR
Perfect. Slash's snakepit (qans album it's five o clock somewhere) is one of my best favorite band with guns n' roses !! Slash is the perfect guy, look, style, sound, velocity, techniques..
Noisy Mothers, what a legendary show. The only slither of rock viewing you could get back then on British TV. Shame you had to wait till 3/4am to view it.
The brand is Guild, veryy good acoustic guitar brand! beautifull guitars...but what i like is that this sound comes from the marshall Silver Jubilees...the amp im looking for now! either one of those or a jcm 800 (preferably the 2205/2210 type) but pff...they're pretty expensive and hard to find in the Netherlands...can you imagine..those 2 amps on a 1960 cabinet with well..which are better Gt 12-75 or Vintage 30's??
I love slash to bits ! But !.... did anyone notice Gilby going off ? He may be very well up there behind or in front in the race for best haha . Just stoned folks , but get back to me , love you all . Forgive me if I spelt gibys name hah
This band was so much better than Slash's current solo band. The first Snakepit album and lineup especially. Eric was an incredibly talented singer and writer
c the thing about snakepit is that not only is the music fucking amazing but eric's voice is so bluesy. just amazing. not to mention slash is in it. so....
@guitarlordification hes feeling the song man...look how snotty that little dance is hes just putting mad anger into his movement...my body moves the same exact way when playing a snotty bluesy song like this haha
no its 6 strings, look at the headstock, i think the difference is in the pickups, since he does use the bottom half only when on distortion, and the top half only on clean (wich has a very acoustic sound)
I agree. Myles kennedy has no passion, I think slash was in his element with snakepit, and if axl had put his powerful vocals on some of these songs guns would have made a better album than use your illusion, but sadly that didn't happen.
This is a really cool video. I, like many other slash fans, totally ignored this band when it came out which is totally unfair. I think it was in part because we all wanted more GNR stuff, not a new project and because we were distracted with all the flashy new bands that mid-late 90s created. Still its good to watch these clips on retrospective, its amazing how many things Slash did while Axl waited and waited. I hope they forgive each other some day.
not splittin hairs but its in Eb harmonic and Bb harmonic minors due to the band tuned a half step down,i only pointed out in case the dude wants to jam to it
@cultation1 It's Eric Dover and he has a band called Sextus but I think they haven't been doing much... and if i'm not mistaken their last album was in 2008... :)
@xx55AC55xx Well, he's not dead, that's for sure... He's leading a band called Sextus, never heard of... If you wanna take a look, go ahead, seems to be pretty good, since it's Eric Dover
Slash, please write songs like this again...
This
If the devil made the blues, this is the song that slit his throat.
+Gavin Skeen Great quote.
I'm so happy because my guitar teacher finally agreed to teach me this song. Snakepit reunion!
Neil Lerner why wouldn’t he teach it to you before ?
How was your progress man? Did you record a platinum record yet ? 😅
I love Eric Dover. Five o' Clock Somewhere is my favorite album. I have listen to every single album Slash has made and this in my opinion is his best work.
I slightly prefer the second Snakepit version but both albums are some of his best shit, hands down.
You heard his solo band sextus UA-cam them
i think the same
Slash in his prime. When he takes the lead man, just flows off his finger tips 🤘
He’s still in his prime.
Eric Dover is a beast!!!
That first Snakepit album was awesome...
Great track. Best track on album, I played this track over & over .....
Love how the harmonica is incorporated with this song!
i love how snakepit ranged from like heavy crazy to slow soft ballad to roadhouse jams man i wish i could have seen them i think its way better than VR
Way better than VR
at 4:17 Slashs like "hey Gilby let's jam together "
Gilby : No fucking way !!
Saw this line-up in 1995 Boston.. great show
sounds very dark, so fuckin good
Slash had written I's five o clock somewhere as the next GnR album but Axl didn't like it
Perfect.
Slash's snakepit (qans album it's five o clock somewhere) is one of my best favorite band with guns n' roses !!
Slash is the perfect guy, look, style, sound, velocity, techniques..
My first proper gig! My ears rang for days after! Great gig :-)
what a beautifull bends, Slash is a genious!.... that's guitar playing at it's best!
Such a great album! Too bad it was basically ignored. Even a lot of big Slash fans haven't heard it.
if they dont know this album they are not big slash fans
Rock hard, rock heavy, rock animal :)
Wow look at how Gilby does those solo's...Iv never seen him do stuff like that before
Noisy Mothers, what a legendary show.

Eric Dover !!! Amazing voice !!!!
THIS IS SIMPLY THE GREATEST!!!
pause at 1:51 you can see the bottom is an electric and the top is an acoustic, you can tell by his alcino II picups on the bottom
I love Gilby's playing. Understated but brilliant.
An excellent band and great album.
what a BEAUTIFUL song
I love slash to bits ! But !....
did anyone notice Gilby going off ? He may be very well up there behind or in front in the race for best haha . Just stoned folks , but get back to me , love you all .
Forgive me if I spelt gibys name hah
Jamie Woodstock Gilby’s Snakepit
This band was so much better than Slash's current solo band. The first Snakepit album and lineup especially. Eric was an incredibly talented singer and writer
Love Eric Dover!
I freaking love Snakepit.
Grande Slash, este hombre es muy creativo y nunca desepciona (Y)
el mejor.
Blimey, Noisy Mothers! Ha, a blast from the past.
Now I can say there once lived a woman under a rock 🤘🔥.

Woman living under a rock - "Who?"
Random guy - "Exactly!"
simply epic...no more words are needed
Good to hear Gilby melting those frets!!
I was at this gig.
jesus, love this song.
@1298da Dude, Slash left in 1996, Matt and Duff held up until 1997.
the SnakePit should of stayed like this with this singer
The fact is when you are sober, brain doesn’t produce good music, set, book, etc….
2021🔥 Devil’s Blues 🤘🏻🎸🎶
Tight!
Slash s'eclatait vraiment avec Snake! 🤗🤗💙☯️
c the thing about snakepit is that not only is the music fucking amazing but eric's voice is so bluesy. just amazing. not to mention slash is in it. so....
This album is too good

Love it!
@guitarlordification hes feeling the song man...look how snotty that little dance is hes just putting mad anger into his movement...my body moves the same exact way when playing a snotty bluesy song like this haha
i know GnR died when slash left, but dissing GnR like that guy did was not cool! They had many great rock songs that will be here for a very long time
to all those who make comparisons between axl,Myles and dover and talk shit , you clearly don't know what music is all about... sad
Rod Jackson!
Orestis Matos Damn straight! they're all excellent in their own right and fit each album perfectly
No they didn't, Slash is still playing the lead part. But on the record both guitar parts are played by Slash.
no its 6 strings, look at the headstock, i think the difference is in the pickups, since he does use the bottom half only when on distortion, and the top half only on clean (wich has a very acoustic sound)
@SlimShady66616 one is an acoustic! its called a guild cross roads. designed on a napkin :)
today is Slash's Birthday!!!!
I agree. Myles kennedy has no passion, I think slash was in his element with snakepit, and if axl had put his powerful vocals on some of these songs guns would have made a better album than use your illusion, but sadly that didn't happen.

I hope the solo album of slash is kinda like slash's snakepit... damn those 2 albums are so damn good !
not splittin hairs but its in Eb harmonic and Bb harmonic minors due to the band tuned a half step down,i only pointed out in case the dude wants to jam to it

Altisima calidad. Si se hubiera mantenido este vocalista el grupo Slash Snakepit hubira subido más alto que GNR
