The version of Netflix, or better said, the DVD version is changed in purpose, so that the producers don't have to pay lot of money for the song. Instead, they decided to look for another song which can goes with the movement of Tony's lips.
That's why I can't watch this show on Netflix, it's just not the same. I guess it has to do with royalties and contracts running out. 'Guess they didn't know what a success this show would turn out to be!😍
Considering the US freaked over the explicit sexuality of Skins, I have no idea why the US version changed the song from 'sweet with evil undertones' to 'SEX, BEES, AND LET'S FUCK'. The UK version was so beautifully performed, I'm honestly ashamed for my country for butchering it.
Because the nuances of being a teenager are lost on TV studios. America is too busy telling teenagers what they should be like, whereas I feel like E4 lets teenagers tell us what being a teenager is like.
I seriously flipped out when they tried to copy this scene in the US version, the US Tony sucks so much and they tried to pick a sexier song completely missing the point that UK Tony could sing a totally dopey and sweet song and still make it kind of evil.

The only way to see the show as it was meant to be seen is on bootlegs recorded from UK television. It's too bad, the way they used music was just incredible.

He clearly had not prepared for this very well at all, & did not know the correct words to the song. The music & words are determined by the people who wrote the song & are "fixed" & quite easy to find out. But this guy just seems to be making up all of his own words as he goes along. Certainly not very impressive at all.
@@louwinters508 It does not really matter whether he sang the song himself, or whether it's dubbed - the fact is that the words are incorrect - so whoever made the above film/series clearly was unfamiliar with the words & did not bother to look them up to ensure they used the correct words. And the actor himself did not both to do that either - as actors will often research their roles themselves.

yeah i have the dvd, i was well devistated haha, its stupid that theyve changed the song on the dvd. but if you watch his lips, theyve just put a song over the top, his lips dont move in time on the dvd at some points
