- In this extra huge video I take a look at the 3 sets I purchased from the May 4th 2024 wave (BARC Speeder Escape, Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator and Droideka) as well as the 3 gift-with-purchase items (Droid Troop Transport, AAT polybag and Death Star Trench Collector Coin) and separate the good from the great, talk about some issues I had with the sets and give you an in-depth look at everything you need to know before making your own purchase!

For the red and green lights on the bottom of the Sith Infiltrator, it came with an extra green and red tile so maybe the designers thought some people prefer all green or all red, which I thought was neat. I changed both of the lights to red for mine.

I quite like the Pupil-less Maul. Previous minifigures never captured his chilling expression.

For Saw Gerrera i would've preferred the leg from Echo which came from the Marvel CMF 2 and a sand blue coloring for the minifigure.

i would love for you to do a modification on darth mauls sith infiltrator. plz make it a lot more smooth like no stud add actual retractable landing gear and better interior of the cockpit
I think I might! its a good base to start with.
The targetting coin is the first I kinda like as a gift. But then you mention the alternative and yeah I would still vastly prefer getting an exclusive minifig instead.

These coins are a waste of resources and time. We want LEGO collectables.
We want Lego Minifigures. A Darth Plageus minifig as a promo for 25th anniversary of the phantom menace would have been amazing.
I actually quite like the coins. I think we’re getting more than enough exclusive figures with the sets this time around. Saw, Malak, Cal, Fives, etc.
Like Anakin though “I want more! And I know I shouldn’t…” hahah
@@maxd5007 That wouldn’t have made much sense though lol. Palpatine doesn’t mention him until ROTS.
@@owenedward144 he gifted the ship to Maul and Is technically the phantom menace. He won't appear in a set because he is a shadow character a polybag or anniversary figure Is the only way.
Can the lamp post double up as a stand for the BARC speeder?
Not as is, but if you reverse the bulb piece and take off the black round plate on top, then you can precariously balance it on there, just about
I would love to see you break your reviews into individual videos and smaller bite size consumption. I know it is more work to make multiple videos, but you have a really unique review perspective I appreciate because of your investment into your own builds where you have valuable constructive feedback on improvements you would have like to see from a build / aesthetic point of view 👍 i almost didnt watch bc 50 minutes vs 5-15 per set is easier to find. Either way, great review! Also might help with your YT algorithm 🤷

Smaller sets tend not to have it.
@@owenedward144 Yeah, I wasn't expecting it either, it's a Mandalorian set, the 25th anniversary ones are aimed more towards the first movies only I think (including phantom menace). But 2bricks did mistakenly put it with the set in his review, that's what I meant. (I pushed my glasses up and said "ehm, actshually" 😅 )
They need to stop downsizing star wars sets!
I think as long as we get good detail id be ok with it, but the overall size, part per dollar all seem to be going down together, and its quite annoying. There are exceptions of course, and when those magic sets come along its a reminder of just how amazing the theme can be when it wants to be!
00:45 I agree, the tie interceptor is overpriced. Not so bad if you sell on the GWPs (assuming you don’t want the GWPs) but still. Besides, if it’s anything like last years x wing, by this time next year it will be on sale at a 30% discount from retailers other than LEGO. 🤔🤷🤣 03:37 makes me glad I’m not into minifigures! 😂
Just a steady hand and a couple Black dots with a Sharpie... Your Maul can have Pupils again.
Can't wait to see You Sith Infiltrator Mods!! That Too High ridge just invites tinkering with it. I'm thinking a little longer & deeper, don't really care about shooters, i have Real Guns that shoot just fine, i don't need my toys to fire, but it's a cool option for kids.
Huh, well, I bought them all.... saved and saved before May 4th this year and bought all the ones I wanted with VIP points( yes, I know it's "insiders" now.... don't care it's VIP ).
Except the pod racer set..... don't care much for that one.. would like to know how Sebulba made it through that Arch before Anakin made it through?
Don't believe me, try it. Sebulba's Pod racer won't fit through the Arch🤨

Lego does not make great sets anymore for starwars!
Lego sales suggest otherwise.
The only good sets we got this year till date are:
1. The january battle pack.
2. The upcoming Rex in Y wing microfighter; and
3.the luke Mec.
I really really enjoyed both the Droideka and the droid troop carrier, and the January wave of midi ships, particularly the Invisible Hand!
You cannot be serious lmao. The Luke Mech??? We’ve had plenty of great sets. The droid carrier, the midi scale falcon + invisible hand, a couple great battle packs, the UCS interceptor is amazing, and R2 is a great set as well.

@@owenedward144 perhaps sets which inspire kids to enjoy lego starwars and something a majority of parents can spend on for their kids.
