Should definitely go back in time and do old drum corps warm ups For example- SCV 2004 Double beat Maybe a whole video of just good ol’ early 2000’s tenor writing. Nick Werth.
Can't wait for your mashup. So, how old are you now? You were 11 when you first posted your age, but I can't find it ... So, now ... Still 12? or are you an official a teenager at 13??? Still waiting for your shoe size at 420 subscribers! 😁
He could most definitely tech one, but I don’t believe he would be interested, he seems to enjoy playing much more than teaching, but I’m sure he could definitely do it if he wanted to, it would just be a lot out of his schedule, and would make it hard for him to upload videos, which make him a lot of his money.
Eric, I just love your deliveries on your videos. I am a retired elementary teacher after 39 years in the classroom, and I think you are missing your natural calling. I can just see you captivating the minds of kids with your wit and enthusiasm.
Hey emc I don't know if you'll see this, but I was the guy who sent in the doubles warmup at 16:38 and I just wanted to say, my whole drumline was freaking out and thought it was so cool so thankyou!
Epic Independent Study Assignment: Shake Senora, by Harry Bellefonte, in four mallet harmony played by a Marimba choir (all of whom are you). This would be so ridiculously epic.
6:06 That’s Oak Mountains band and whenever we play against them we go over to their band and have a big mosh pit in the middle of a football game to Jig 2. It’s always fun when we play them.
Challenge: Can you play the bass drum parts for Puritania by Dimmu Borgir, but on a Concert Bass drum. If you don't have a Concert Bass, then use multiple marching bass drums.
For my EMC best audition, I did a 40 minute Herta. I had to do it live so it would upload without killing my computer. I’m upset I didn’t make it on the list :(
1:34 It's important to watch the video before composing the most EPIC comment, but I got here, and had to stop, get the timestamp, and make this post! 😂🤣🤣🥁🐔🥁
History assignment: there are older pictures of drum corps when they were first adopting multi tenor setups where the musicians carried them with a pair of slings instead of a harness. You can also see an example of how that works in one of the old Ludwig catalogs from the 1960s. You can try setting up your tenors in a similar manner to get a hint of what that was like back then. For efficiency's sake, you can combine this with another playing assignment.
I performed Shala at the Ohio Solo and Ensemble and received a 1. It is a very fun and choppy solo and I would recommend anyone looking for an advanced solo to check it out.
You should really try Basel (swiss) drumming, it is a real challenge if you aren’t familiar with the style! I had very much fun attempting some pieces. There is a video on Rhythm Monster of the Pfeiffer (fifer) retraite. I think it would be awesome if you would try that!
Well, I think the concert Navy band has a different requirement since they mostly do orchestra and symphonies so your essentially joining as a percussion.
*Video 29* of Loopy Grandma asking Lil' Peanut dressed as a surfer dude to play -Wipe Out by the Ventures- *Any surfer song* !!! ... Great for another video using the kit!!! And I know you are very creative, so I expect something EPIC! (Wipe Out would cause video to be copywrite claimed!) ... (oops! forgot to post this ....)
What homework assignments should I do in the next video?
Do situps. But situate a drum or drums in front of you so you can do a rudiment, different every time, every time you sit up.
Play the licc on the spockenspiel ;)
don't know but today's my birthday :D
I'd like to see more of this and also the auditions to other Armed Forces bands.
Should definitely go back in time and do old drum corps warm ups
For example- SCV 2004 Double beat
Maybe a whole video of just good ol’ early 2000’s tenor writing.
Nick Werth.
I'm the kid that does the Jig 2 mashups.
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED, ERIC

@@RedDogMamaHD God i hope you're of a similar age, Otherwise please officer this man right here.
@@BeeTriggerBee Loopy Grandma is "The Man's Number" ... For a few more months 😉
Have been enjoying your site for quite a long time. Curious to know if any DCI corps have approached you to be their percussion coordinator?
Probably
He could most definitely tech one, but I don’t believe he would be interested, he seems to enjoy playing much more than teaching, but I’m sure he could definitely do it if he wanted to, it would just be a lot out of his schedule, and would make it hard for him to upload videos, which make him a lot of his money.
That bongo solo should be in Rhythm hell
Man eric’s got some good genetics to do that
He also did a tenor solo with it on pornhub. No joke he actually has a channel on there.
Eric, I just love your deliveries on your videos. I am a retired elementary teacher after 39 years in the classroom, and I think you are missing your natural calling. I can just see you captivating the minds of kids with your wit and enthusiasm.
We here at the swiss military drum corps are proud to announce you're welcome any time
Hey emc I don't know if you'll see this, but I was the guy who sent in the doubles warmup at 16:38 and I just wanted to say, my whole drumline was freaking out and thought it was so cool so thankyou!
OMG WHAT SCHOOL IT SOUNDS SO FAMILIAR ?!?!?
I DON'T KNOW SOME PLACE CALLED DEER VALLEY
“Double stroke with the peepee” -EMC 2022
Excelent job on the Swiss roll rudiments! Would definitely be fun to see you learn all the stuff required to do a full assignment :-D
Epic Independent Study Assignment:
Shake Senora, by Harry Bellefonte, in four mallet harmony played by a Marimba choir (all of whom are you).
This would be so ridiculously epic.

That’s Oak Mountains band and whenever we play against them we go over to their band and have a big mosh pit in the middle of a football game to Jig 2. It’s always fun when we play them.

Challenge:

If you don't have a Concert Bass, then use multiple marching bass drums.

I think you were first comment, but I didn't see a heart and comment from Eric. Originally all you said was *O*
EMC Bar Karaoke episode
For my EMC best audition, I did a 40 minute Herta. I had to do it live so it would upload without killing my computer. I’m upset I didn’t make it on the list :(
Please do more of these. They’re amazing!
Please more parts
1:34 It's important to watch the video before composing the most EPIC comment, but I got here, and had to stop, get the timestamp, and make this post! 😂🤣🤣🥁🐔🥁
Well here I go ruining a nice amount of comments but those poly-rhythms were incredible.

Having carried tenors like that back in the day, I would not wish that on anyone!
Something else from the rudimental cookbook the solo And the Kitchen Sink is really funky if you ever do another video like this one
Every time I watch he gets better
we use metal tenor sticks with plastic mallet heads like ones
Yeah, I liked this kind of video.
Keep up the good work! :)
Looks like it’s gonna be a great one haha
My mans got copyrighted for the marimba piece
3:00 yes
Definitely do more homework assignments. They are entertaining. Do a drum line feature "inspired" by Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein."
Thanks for doing my 6 notes challenge!
I want you to keep this going, if for no other reason than to give me a chance to visit my parents and find some old show music for you
7:17 DMCA? I cry every time

Woah! Eric played a warm up I WROTE I feel famous!
I hope this episode does well, I enjoy it a lot!
This was awesome
I like to imagine that his singing was so on point that he had to cut the audio because of copyright
Your singing was apparently good enough to get the video copyright-striked? Sound drops out at 7:18; I thought it was my computer's fault.
Here's the link from the dump channel
ua-cam.com/video/tqzm44Z8YJ8/v-deo.html
Shala is a really fun solo, hard tho
Can you play the exercise “Fulcrum Freddy” to perfection in your next hw assignment video?
Get this man a grammy!
Amazing
do more, its fun
I'm planning to join the Navy band; definitely do a Navy band drum audition.👹👍
Well, I think the concert Navy band has a different requirement since they mostly do orchestra and symphonies so your essentially joining as a percussion.
Swiss army here, you did this perfectly.
Right hand sped up on tap accent 4,s lol
emc please do part 2, I sent you the songsterr tab for a drum part for etipath.
4:52 Why the left hand stick is held like spoon, but right hand stick is held like fork?
What advice would you give somebody if they are trying to get a snare Drum part.
6:29 this had me laughing way too hard
Can you play snare with jazz or blues music? There are a lot of great musicians around the DC area.
Yes do another vid and let us see the trolly ones...
i haven’t seen an emc video in a while and i’m really loving the video production progress keep up the good vids :)
Love your videos. Just an idea do a reaction video to the colorado avalanches new drum line called the celly squad.
That is a video that would interest me.
I feel that in percussion the bass drum isn’t heard enough
