One of the most comprehensive Rotobrush tutorials I've ever seen on UA-cam 👍🏼 The shot that was chosen was also pretty reminiscent of the challenges roto artists face while rotoscoping.
best tutorial ive seen thank you for including the entire hour on this. is there way to speed it up cause it must be a pain to edit even 50sec video going frame by frame
Amazing tutorial! Thanks so much! Been on the search for a proper in depth rotobrush 2.0 tutorial for hours now, appreciate it! 💪😎👑 18:00 (my bookmark ignore this)
Great tutorial. Thatnks for this. My only problem is, when I export the video it comes out with a black background. Is there a way to export so the background is transparent?
Hi! I have an question. When I use roto brush how can I turn off the auto-detection? I'd like to remove the selected parts without auto-detection cuz two differint objects are the same color.
Hey! Rotobrush works based on the colour, contrast and brightness of the pixels. So if the adjacent objects are very similar in colour, it wouldn't be able to differentiate. That's when you'd need to start using standard masks.
Not much I'm afraid. Unless you want to isolate that other person too, in which case, you'd use the Roto Brush on that person as well in the 2nd pass..
Just amazing, thank you so much, "Abi"! Every necessary detail is included in the video!
Worthy watching. Very detailed.
Thank you, one of the best tutorials I have ever seen in AF roto brush
That's great to hear, thanks!

Export as an animation or ProRes 4444 and make sure you choose in -Channels- RBG & Alpha

what if i use refine edge tool for the whole object?
will there be any problem?
It would be slower to process and also it might create unnecessarily soft edges sometimes. I'd recommend using it only when it's needed.
Please help me
what can you do if another person passes in front
Thank you

Best rotobrush 2 ! All other used easy to roto footage (high contrast). Thats the first one I see someone using a ""real" scenario
Thanks Robert! Good to hear you found it helpful! :)

How come you didn't use the "Best" option in the rotobrush options?
The results were good enough, so there wasn't much point in changing it to Best :)
@@Digidemy i agree, they worked well. Nice tutorial.
Can this be done with existing footage like a movie clip? Could the actors be isolated and the background become transparent?
Erm, this is a movie clip, isn't it? And yes, the whole purpose of the Roto Brush is to isolate the foreground/background.
How do I create just green background?
That would be a solid layer...
