One idea I had for Milo with his low shift cost but high ink cost is as a target for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo to play other unshiftable 7 cost characters by turn 4 🧠
I think Lucky Dime is a card you put as a 1x in your deck and when you draw it has the potential to turn the corner for you very quick. So I guess in that sense it's spot on with the flavor. It's a lucky charm in your deck that can sometimes win you a game, but not something you rely on.
I legitimately would rank these exactly the same way. I do think the Kida in an amber steel song deck is amazing considering the it can also sing all the 5 cost steel songs. And it could also be used in a bodyguard aggro deck. So I'm good with moving that up a tier.
Great list and insight! I would rank Kida a tidge higher in A personally since she has a lot of the same pluses that every Steelsong Shift3 has but otherwise agree with your thoughts. Hoping to finding a way to make Tala work and Jafar is definitely the card I’m most hyped to try out. Thanks all for all the great Inklands content already too!
agreed on this tier list, ursula is my favorite card of the set ! She enables some crazy moves and will help the 2 discard decks to be more competitive, she might even enable some color combination we rarely see around like emerald amethyst.
Nice video! Always fun to hear opinions on the big cards before the meta is solved. I figured Perdita and Kida would have been swapped. Though I do agree Perdita is crazy in theory, just needs to find the right deck. Similar to Mufasa last set.
Great list! I'd personally put Perdita in B since she's a bit too "fair," ya know? Underwhelming stats and uninkable balance out her really good ability too much, and she's probably only going in a very specific deck built around her so she's not as versatile as other good cards on this list. I also might move Robin Hood down to A. As you said, he's a jack of all trades but a master of none, so he's great to have (and will definitely see a lot of play) but not as game-breaking as the other three S-tier cards. A proper A-tier card if I've ever seen one. Keep up the great work! =)
I think Tala is great as it gives access to reach that blue steel originally didn't have which was the hardest part about playing blue steel against Be Prep usually. It's no Jafar, but it's no joke either I think. I would maybe say low A, maybe High A, probably not S though as it doesn't just win you the game at 0 lore. I'm sure RMB would have some words on this lol
I pretty much agree with the rest of the list, I always appreciate your insights! Can't wait for Eldrazi's to be printed in Lorcana and we get some mickey value haha
I love tala, but i dont think set 3 is her set to shine. However, when sapphire gets more "put into inkwell" cards later, she will only get better and better.
Jim Hawkins is not worth 5 ink if you count the free location separately. Jim is a 4/4/2 that can move to locations for free. Card Soldiers is a 5/5/2 and costs 5. Is the ability to go to locations worth the same as the lost Power and Willpower? I think Jim is worth about 4.5 ink if you play it without a location and around 6.5 ink on average with locations like Notingham where being at it does nothing. It's only the RLS Legacy that gets a lot of value and even then it's 4.5+4+3 for the body+location+move, not quite 12 ink.
@@fenec250 I’m basing what I said on the actual cost of the card, not what you feel it’s worth based on other cards. The deck I’m playing has RLS Legacy, the Queens Castle and Agrabah. While moving isn’t a huge deal for all of them all three of them give two lore at the start of turn. Also you can play Madam Mim to recall him and get his effect again.
Why is everyone so high on kida when four dozen eggs saw no play? Are they more different than i realize? Is it because blue wasnt a good aggro color set 2?
@@LorcanaHoodRat hahaha Zef is just a different thing. I watch all the main guys and they're all good players who have excellent gameplay with quality explanations of their decision making (Bannibal being one of the best!) but Zef is both a great player, but also a great storyteller. He's making TCG content that makes me both laugh and cheer. That's awesome!
Top two Lorcana UA-camr and top one for good technical content that would make everyone who watches better. Agree with most everything you said, but would put Jim in A tier. I think he will see a ton of play and be good, but he’s never really broken and he does require another card in hand. It’s not zero percent that your curve required playing your one location on turn 4. Also feel like everything you said about Robinhood is A tier, but then you put it in S lol
Thanks! Jim definitely is a card that depends on the supporting cast of locations so I could see that. Robin hood is A tier in like 3 ways. All of them combined is what made me put him in S. Just looking at the lists I've seen going around he is EVERYWHERE. If your criteria for S is that the card has to be game breaking in at least 1 way then I would probably agree with you.
@@bannibalharca My view of S tier is something like “this card makes a new type of deck viable or changes the texture of gameplay” which I think both Ursula and Jafar do, even if I agree with you that Jafar is probably overrated. Robinhood is just a clear upgrade to most decks for the reasons you stated, but it’s all fair, even if it’s really good. That to me is textbook “A”
Loving all the new videos. You and Zefa are my favorite Lorcana content creators. Keep em coming.
Go tell him that! I know he's been a bit burnt out on UA-cam, but he's been streaming which is great.

She can only get better which is a bit scary.
Love the list, had me looking at cards in a different perspective! I want to build a deck around Jim and Kida with Perdita as well cause shes so good.
This is a much better set than the last one. 4 meta relevant legendaries is huge.
The last set had plenty of good cards they were just at other rarities haha

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to never see perdita actually show up in a top 8. I do think the power is there though.
Great to have a definitive list of the 6 lowest value cards i will inevitably draw repeatedly, just like the last two sets. 😭
Hopefully your luck turns around

Pairing Tala with Mama Odie is nuts lol
You could certainly be right! I've seen some of RMB's words on this haha. That's why this is my tier list I suppose...

Great list!...can you make a Super Rare tier as well?? 😂
Possibly. We'll see if I find time
I pulled each of the s tier cards! I hope your predictions are correct XD
Nice!
Jim Hawkins give you 12 ink worth of value. You get to play a location and move there right away for free.

"i don't know where perdita goes and what deck it goes in" but i'm going to put it in A tier.

Four dozen eggs doesn't come attached to a 3/5/2 body is the main reason. It also can't sing other songs.
@@bannibalharca last night, I pulled kida in sealed and she won me many games. Im convinced! Lol
Talla is king! Belle is even better now
I guess we'll see!
@@bannibalharca 😊
I'm kinda confused about how they decide which cards are inkable
In general it's a balancing tool, but it may not always look that way. Removal is almost always un-inkable as well.
Now do the super rares and rares!
Maybe the super rares. I don't think I have it in me to go through all the rares
Has anyone considered a Magica / Scrooge / Lucky dime combo yet?
Top player? Where's Zef? :P
One of... He's hiding on twitch
@LeviClay how much is Zef paying you and how can I join his commenter army?
