Maleficent triggers off of any draw, it might be situational but it still has the option to be useful on the turn it's played. If your opponent lets it live then you get double value. She might not be A or S tier but definitely not as risky as you're thinking.
I do agree we were a little harsh on her. I would have been happy with her in C Tier but I also think D Tier is probably more accurate. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Hard agree. Ursula is going to end up being the most consistently powerful of all of the legendary cards here. It is going to be so meta-defining that it will shift how you need to build your decks to try to handle her. The amount of card advantage *or* tempo gain that you can get from her as early as turn 4 will just win a lot of games outright. And she's versatile. Sudden Chill is bananas. But so is Friends on the other side. So is Let the Storm Rage on. And in the mid-game Mother Knows Best will often bounce 2 characters at 5 ink or more, and that tempo gain is crazy. And she only gets better and better as more songs are released.
Glad you both like Hydra. I often see people say "it's a worse Maui", but it's not. It's a different kind of card entirely. And it's also a good Maui counter as you guys mentioned. They take out each other, but Hydra is very likely taking out something else too as it goes out. Most scenarios Hydra is probably taking out two characters. And that's just on the challenging side of things. There could be some self damage combos and even healing combos out there or to be found in the future using it too.
Perdita is also great with the low cost rush characters. I've been getting alot of value out of her just recycling rushers and running them into opposing characters. She's awsome in mufasa as well.
Tala in c tier is nonsense. Shifting her on five and singing one of the ramping songs and gaining some lore is so good. Also, if you have fishbone quill or pooh you can use those the turn you shift her to get extra lore is a great way for sapphire to end games outside of belle.
Yeah I think we probably underestimated her! I would definitely put her in B tier right now if I was to revisit this list. Who knows, maybe she ends up in A tier!
Prob with blue is it is stuck playing alongside Steel or Aggro eats it alive. I have a blue steel combo deck using Lucky Dime. It puts out some wins against aggro and is strong against Red Purple.
I am not sure about Hydra being useful in almost all situations. An uninkable 6c that does nothing on play and only pings back some ping damage seems useless against card effect removal strategies. we are talking 6 drops and this seems slow.
Question about Hydra, if it dies from damage, do you still deal damage to opposing characters? Or does it need to survive the damage to deal damage to opposing characters? Love the content! instant sub when I came across the channel.
Can we all agree how terribly wrong this tier list was (no offence). Ursula, Dime and Hood are some of the best cards in the game. Jim Hawkins and locations oriented decks died after set 4 and did anyone ever play Jafar, Hydra and Perdita

Full Set Review coming soon!
Ursula busted. Sudden chill is bananas with her for value and also makes mother knows best a valuable removal tool against early song threats.

Ursula is nuts yeah
It’s wild how low they are on Ursula. She’s the best card in this set by a colossal distance. The Hydra hype is also wild to me. That card is no good

Ursula is S tier BTW.

Had no idea about this Lorcana channel Speci. Instant Sub. Loved your coverage of the Thea Beasty tournament.
I posted a few bits back in Set 1 but I'm about to start SPAMMING Set 3 videos
😮😮😮
10:00 Robin hood only draws a card when banished in a challenge so any removal effects won't give you the draw unfortunately

I quite like red / blue this set. Deck guide coming this week!

I agree, Moyen thinks he overrated the card a bit. Its still good but pretty slow and slow and lots of other options in that slot

Yeah! Only won't deal damage if it's removed by something like Hades or Maleficent
Ursula deserves her own tier above S, Lucky Dime deserves its own tier below D
She is pretty damn good!
@Dinamosaur still think Dime is worse then D tier lol
Hawkins is a tempo nightmare. He will be played in red purple and red steel pirates. He is S tier.
He's not as good in the pirates deck as I imagined as he plays two cards at once.
I find he's good after AWNW to dump hand but awkward before that
You guys really don't like and underestimate sapphire 😂
My early impression having tested a lot is that Sapphire is the weakest colour this set l.
I could be wrong tho!

Ursala has so many targets. Main 2…. nah. Ursala will be a big part of defining the meta. What about Mother Knows best? Strength of a raging fire.
She is great for sure
