Went to the local adidas store to try these on before purchasing. SOOO glad I did. These are nearly impossible to put on. Decided not to buy. Just a warning for yall to try on first if possible.
"What's up Doc?" Great video Dr. Zach, I like how thoroughly you describe the functionality of this shoe's design\components. In terms of its sectioned design, it reminds me of the Adidas P.O.D. 3.0, which was an underrated casual shoe.
These have been some of my favorite shoes of all time. Somehow these fit me perfectly. I love the cushion and upper. Just a shoe I put on when I need some cushion.

Hey Doc. I bought these for my 13 year old son. He loves the fit and feel. He sticks to the court. Problem is he has worn them only indoors for practice and games and the sole lasted 4 weeks before starting to peel off! Way too much money for a shoe that a 100 pound kid can pull the sole off of in a month of indoor use. This is not an isolated issue I have found.
Trae Young's shoes are definitely customized for him, as there is no way you can get these on with an ankle brace unless you go up 2 sizes. The ankle area is so tight and there is a hard stop to how much the collar will stretch, once you get to that point it is a plastic loop. Tried it myself as I need braces on my left ankle, didn't work and I went half a size up already.
Hey John. I wear orthotics and Ankle braces (Zamst) as well and i'm really struggling to find shoes that fit well with Ankle brace. what shoes do you find go really well with ankle brace? as for trae young shoes, if i'm a size 8.5 (US), you reckon i should go 9.5?
@@shauncheng4308 if you have to wear the ankle braces I would suggest to skip the Trae young 2s. I could not fit mine through the collar. My go to are the Curry 4 Flotro right now. Those are made to be worn with braces. My next in line are the LBJ 20s. Happy shoe hunting.

Thank you for this comment, like you I need to wear an ankle brace when I hoop. Super sucks that the general population Trae Young 2 isn't compatible for ankle braces, especially since the Trae Young 1 was perfect for that.
The TraeYoung1s looked really cool and fresh. This just looks like those Adidas BYW.
Like a low cut byw. Those were excellent ball shoes, the tread just didn't last for casual wear and definitely not for outdoor use.

@@bobheyotue9850 they are absolutely phenomenal for indoor use. Just wipe often. Plenty of support too even though they have a sock-like aesthetic.
Zach I gotta say last night I really got after it in the gym while rockin the zion 2 . These fn shoes are amazing man. I've played a lot of ball amd had many shoes growin up and I don't ever remember putting on a bball shoe that felt this good on my feet. Big reason I bought was off your review on them and I've only got about 2hrs on em but man have they impressed me!!!!!!!

which trae young shoe is more comfortable overall? the 1 or 2
Just copped a pair of these. I tried on the size 13 and that size was way too tight and narrow. However, I like how they looked so much that I went ahead and ordered a pair of size 14s straight from Adidas since Dicks Sporting goods didn’t have them that big. If they don’t fit good after running around with them for a little bit I’m just going to return them. I really liked the bouncy feel and these will be freakin awesome if the size 14 works for me. Adidas does recommend ordering a size bigger than your true size for these.

I've used these to play tennis on hard courts for the past 6 months and have worked very well, especially because of my foot and knee injuries and the cushion provided by this shoe. The collar is very tight and results in discomfort after a couple of hours. Other than that it's a great shoe. Looking for something to replace them that is more suitable for tennis.
This is perfect for me because I am a 5'11 point guard and I like to play very shifty

I’m so confused now I wore the Adidas Creator 365 socks and somehow they felt more comfortable even if wearing true as a wide footer which surprised me it felt better than the .5 size up too

I heard they were 1/3 smaller than normal so I got a 11.5. if they are then would the little bit of the bigger help my foot get in?

Did I miss the "breathability" test? - it's one of the biggest factor for me these days - as unfortunately lack of natural good quality leather material means cheaper built means our feet are wrapped up with plastic - (literally) and in most of them feet are boiling.

your jumping range is around 36-42cm recently. compared to last year 30-35 cm

I don’t see why not as long as you don’t mind the minimal uppers
Entry is simple you open to get your foot almost in then just push whilst the show is in the floor
not a big fan of the tight collar...I had some adidas Icon shoes that I had to get a shoe horn just to put them on...they felt good once in them but i hate to have to fight with my shoes to put them on.....i ended up giving them away because I hated fighting

The uppers remind of some ASICS runners that were a pain in the a** to “slip on” 😂
The upper, tight collar, laces tight over the top of your foot look like the old uncaged Ultra Boosts.

I liked them shoes and I was going to buy them but I couldn’t put my feet in them
They look like really good running shoes
I wouldn’t use them for that personally
The uppers yes, but the entire bottom anchors you to the floor and its opposite of what you want for running.
