Glad you mentioned Rourke. He’s getting intriguing watching him control an offense so well. Love it when the guys come out of nowhere and make you notice them.
52:24 I'm with Rob on this one. I've seen more national analysts point out how Geno must be good because he leads the league in passing yards per game. The biggest slights I've heard from a prominent voice was when Kirk Herbstreit said that Geno is "streaky" during that Giant's loss. In fact Greg Olsen with a straight face (I think, he was on screen at the time so he might have been smiling) said that Geno Smith was the "best pure thrower of the football in the NFL". Now I'll be the 1st to admit that Geno throws a pretty tight spiral, but I've seen more of that type of hyperbole than the opposite.
Great show, don’t wanna be a Homer but completely agree with your views, especially Jeff’s bjt on Geno, so true, he has his limitations but he has his positives too, he’s a good solid QB and I for one fan see him for what he is, great show lads keep up the good work, go on a run now and we can win the division 🟢🔵💪
The very first offensive snap, Lucas takes the dt. From 3 yards to the right of the right hashmark, to 4 yards past the left hashmark. Walker starts off to the left side and cuts back off of Lucas's block, clear on the other side of the line. Right behind Lucas and Olu.
Great chat once again. On the OC discussion. Isn't part of hiring an inexperienced coach accepting that they will need time to develop? It's not been great but it ain't been a car crash. As we learn from football 'soccer', especially being a Bradford City fan, hiring and firing isn't always the answer. Appreciate we are here to compete but I'm sure Grubb will sit back during off season and reflect and learn. Always enjoy your chats with Jeff 👍
0 seconds ago It’s not Ryan Grubb’s fault that we’ve had so many injuries on the offensive line. He needs a little more time before you judge him. I have faith the hawks are about to turn the corner. We should of won the Giants and Rams games I think now is the time the Seahawks are ready to soar.
It’s not just an offensive line point. The Head Coach has made it clear in a not so discreet way he’s been unhappy with the offense. The Giants outplayed Seattle.
I think with Grubb, now that we have Lucas back and seemingly a center who can at least be decent, you have to give him a chance to see what he can do. Kind of like how Mike wasn't able to get this defense going until he had better LB play. If it still feels disjointed at the end of the season though or we draft a young QB you probably have to solidify the OC position. Don't want to yank an OC on a developing qb
If we pay Gino we can’t have an OLine. Period. He must know that so if he holds out or something stupid like that for a new contract we know where he stands. Just pay him what he’s owed and let his contract run out
@ John really needs a good few years post Carrol. Whomever is in control of the money is doing a bad job. The cap room needs a massive overhaul and we have a great opportunity to do it in the next few seasons
@@timmoore8623 yeah its overlooked because he has a couple nice drafts here or there but never anyone game breaking. The cap and FA have been a disaster going back to Jamal Adams maybe even Sheldon Richardson.
@ we haven’t taken any shots on qbs he’s “liked” over the years either. It’s like a running bit with the media. Just draft a 6,2+ qb with a big arm and be done with it
After this season Haynes and the other young olinemen are going to know if they don't already what it taks to be a player and a starter in this league and they either work harder to be the starter or not because its different in college compared to the pros due to what college teams teaches these olineman.
Josina threw Earl under the bus to gain more traction for her podcast... If you watch it, Earl looks like he is going through it.... His life does not sounds great now
@@robstatonfootballagreed. I think it’s going to come down to where they’re going to blame the lack of run game in either the Oline or Grubb. I personally think it’s Grubb not trusting the line to get push but it’ll be interesting
I think if MM pushes JS hard enough for an OC that fits his style and vision, Grubb could be gone this offseason. John has to accommodate his coach at least to an extent.
Sure you can judge him. Bad play calling, not overly creative. Can’t get one yard. It looks like a college offense. There should be a lot of upgrades this offseason.
Kenny Mcintosh needs to get at least 20+ carries this season with how weak Charbonnet is. Use him or cut him. Maybe the coaches know Kenny sucks? This team has no depth, that's why it needs a bye week to recover, then win.
Mccarthy and John have connections. He's a qb coach. Most likely none of us know what he's like as an oc since we can't remember him as anything but a HC
Please for the love of God get Bradford out of there... or put him at left guard and see what he can do there... if Haynes is not ready to go then why the hell did you draft a guy who is older and has played every snap at right guard with an early 3rd rounder (which is fairly high for a right guard)? At least Haynes can pass block, which is what Seattle wants to do this year (pass). And you don't need mauler OLineman at EVERY position. You need guys with sound technique. Most OL are not MAULERS, they rely on their technique because they're basically the least athletic guys on the field for the most part. I get Bradford is athletically insane, but the guy doesn't have any technique at all and clearly isn't learning it. He's looked HORRIBLE as the full time starter 2 weeks in a row (and fairly bad when sharing snaps, which is stupid to do... name a starter full time to start the season, DO NOT ROTATE unless it's an injury. I don't know where Seattle got this stuck in their head but I swear we're the only team doing it, and it's stupid - OLs need consistency, not rotations). IF (and it's a HUGE IF) Oluwatimi and Haynes (If Bradford blows another game against the Cards, he needs to be benched immediately) come out the 2nd half of this season and bring stability to this line, I'm going to SERIOUSLY question WTF Grubb and Huff were doing.
Great stream, Rob. Your chats with Jeff are one of my favorite Seahawks discussions to look forward to each week.
Thanks Matt -- and I really appreciate your continued support via super chat
Same here. Good job Rob and Jeff!! Go Hawks!!
Great chat! Onward and upward! 🍻🍻🍻
Great stuff as always, Rob!
Another awesome conversation. Love listening to you guys. I actually like the Tuesday release. Spaces out the conversations well.

I love how Jeff just kinda floats around podcasts but never makes his own. 😂 It's like those Marvel characters that somehow appear in every show/movie
I watched Olu and he was very good. Something to build on.
Rob is extremely genuine. Great article!!!! Go Seahawks!!!!
Cheers Rob, great chat as always 👍
Always a great listen! Love the content rob keep it up.
Great conversation as usual

What’s up Rob!! Thank you for your thoughts on them Hawks
I hope you publish your new article today rather than later this week 😁
Apologies -- I want to try and let this video get a few views through the blog first so I will likely post it on Wednesday or Thursday

Go hawks
The only people that wanted Grubb were UW fans, he’s not an NFL coach
Kyle Shanahan might be available as an OC 😂

Grubbs fine.
I think the jury's out -- and that it probably is with the team's key decision makers too
I hope they don't pay Geno more than $25 million.
Too late
Yeah it's called trying to find your identity
If Waldron got 3 years grubb is getting atleast 2 years and you can't even judge him with this oline
Grubb is using about 45%of his playbook
Jeremy Bates got one year. The fact Waldron got three years isn't relevant -- if they want to make a change they will
