I agree but this year Drafting a star guard is gonna be even more important. So we are kinda stuck unless we find a gem in the second round like we usually do
About the Byron Murphys comment. Please tell me how many doubles vs singles has he taken on this season. That does make a difference on getting to the qb's.
PFF gives Byron Murphy 10 pressures so far. I think he's closer to 10 than PFR's 3. The one really impressive statistic for Murphy is his 4.8 missed tackle percentage. On the down side, I really expected better overall play from Murphy by this point in his rookie season. There are games where he's just invisible, and I thought Dominick Puni manhandled him in the plays where they went one on one or where the center chipped him.
My family went to UT so I've seen him and TVondre play for a while. I said it when we picked him that we got the wrong guy, and now I'm even more sure. I love Murphy but TVondre is just better
@@Clark-shoots-bricks He's not playing out of position. I'm sorry if that triggered you. He's playing 15% of his snaps at NT. Unless you're making the argument that he should be playing 100% of his snaps at NT, which... creates another problem.
@@thememester9147 I'd like a little more accountability for draft picks. Whose picks are they? Are they 90% Schneider's picks? Are we sticking to best available player on the board by value? I don't want to roast Murphy. It's not his fault. All he did was get drafted and show up to the team that selected him. He may turn out to be great in a couple of years. I'd just like to know how we arrive at our picks.
Brendon - you should do a grading our draft picks so far video. It is kind of covered in your "how are our young players doing" videos, but we clearly have a lot of fans that are on board the "Murphy is second coming of Aaron Donald" and "2025 Super Bowl incoming" and "Mike Macdonald doesn't know how to play Murphy correctly" ship.
We desperately need a NT, Cam Young and Hankins SMFH. I think we unload Jones, Reed, Hankins, I want to draft a legit NT because I think we NEED to spend FA money on a LEGIT veteran LG
I really hate that Byron Murphy has to play so much NT. That's not where he belongs, and it's stunting his development.
He's not playing NT so much. He's had 248 snaps this season. 37 have been at NT, NLT, or NRT. So about 15%.
@@upoceo That's awesome you just pulled those stats out like that. 😂😂
We need a star edge rusher bro , we never get one in the draft

D Jones is a silent assassin!! I've been seeing him do his thang, but no praise in the media! Smh
I thought Gipson would be at least good 😂 ohh well i was wrong

He Is a rookie playing out of position you go do better 🫵🏼🤡

Giving someone a sack without a pressure is wicked
this is why PFF is better than PFR
depending on how olu plays for the rest of the season, i would feel good with drafting an edge first and second a RT that can be converted to lg
Great video, appreciate the effort every week
When is Uchenna coming back?
2 weeks?
mafe also has the knee injury right?

I agree, I want to see Murphy in his natural position more, he's getting stunted being stuck at nose most games
Cam Young, Myles Adams and Mike Morris are just wasting roster spots at this point. A good NT would make our defense elite.
He makes too much money to just try his best.
He leads the team in pressures.
