TPS is “Tape Position Sensor.”. My RX-DT680 is the same way. If you’re playing a tape and hit ff while still in play mode, it will find the next song, and if you hit rewind, it will rewind the current song to the beggining. Great Video! 😁 Also that one speaker distorting might be the surround disintegrating, it will cause it to distort from lack of a speaker surround.
Those boom 💥 boxes 📦 take me back to my childhood days. Got one in 1983, but don't remember the name 🤔. Your friend, Jeff.
Hi Jeff, thanks for commenting..
Yes, vintage boomboxes pack a greater punch for a lot less money than modern ones.. some are becoming collectible

oh I never knew what TPS was thank you for mentioning it! in your experience, have you found a fix for a surround misbehaving?
Place antenna in its resting position, then the handle can be put down completely, afterwards antenna can be extended and adjusted. Where's the issue?
lol noticed the resting position places after I shot the video.. I usually don’t have a lot of time with the units before I shoot my vids
How about the sound of recording on CD to cassette tape ?
Hello, I think should be fine but I would try using another device as it might get some unwanted CD noises like the laser moving, button taps etc
