Another super shave John love the R41! My own SOTD was the 6s shark platinum blade 1st use solar flare brush the red fine shaving bowl PAA atomic age bay rum soap and splash Thayers lavender witch hazel finished of with Clarins moisture balm.you enjoy the rest of your week and take care of yourself all the best to you John 🙂🙌👍🏻
Nice shave John. There’s nothing worse than bad blades tearing your face to shreds. We’ve all been there. The shaving cream and balm did very well. Have a great week. Take care.
Nice one, John. Despite the rough start. That's why newbies shouldn't start with the cheapest shaving stuff. A bad experience could turn them off. And they would miss all those close, comfortable shaves that wet shaving has to offer. I've had a few rogue blades but none that I couldn't use for at least one shave before discarding. The R-41 is in my collection but I rarely use it. It's not as threatening as I imagined if I take my time, focus, and settle for only two passes. It's just that I enjoy my shaves more when I can shave without worry. Until Saturday...cheers!
Nice shave John! Interesting products today, I definitely haven't seen them before. Too bad the blades didn't work out, but the cream and balm looked nice 😀👍 My last SOTD: Stirling Scarn soap and splash, AP Shave Co 24mm cashmere brush, and the RazoRock German 37 slant with a unbranded blade from a local pharmacy. Have a good one! Steve
I have had a few tucks of blades that have felt like a rusted scythe across my face. I used to just fight through it. Now, I do what you did; try another in the tuck and if the same result, then go to another blade. As you said, “I have lots of blades” as do I and many others in the community.
Hi John, SOTD Merkur 34g, Simpson T2 Brush, Willys Blade, Dr Harris Lavander Soap and Floid Aftershave. set me up for the Day, and a COTD H Upmann Coronas Major this afternoon…..ahhhhh! 👍🥳
@@johnshaves101 Hi John, i’ve had the Perdomo 20th anniversary and the Champagne 10th anniversary. I think the 20th has a bit more body to it? let me know eh? enjoy!!!
We have the same problem, big fat fingers with no nails!😂 I can never open any packages hence I carry a pocket knife which gets used quite often. Awesome shave John, crack on buddy!😊
Another great looking shave John👍 Not seen that cream around here. Some blades do better on the second shave and might benefit from a one pass corking to remove some of the "burrs", I do that with Feather blades, then again some blades just don't work on our face and beards!!! I don't seem to do well with German made blades.👌🤠👌
@@johnshaves101 Agreed hard to find good Chinese made blades, much prefer ones from India and Egypt, as an alternative to the Russian ones because of the embargo and P&G factory closure.👌🤠👌
Another fine shave John, I normally cork all my blades before the first shave no matter the make or manufacturer.
Cheers🍷🍷🍷🍷
Thankyou dan, have a great week mate 👍🏻

Swarf. I love that word.
Lol, unlike actual swarf after I got some in my eye at 18, oh man I can still feel it 😥😥😢😥😨
We have had the day off today, so I took the opportunity to go out for lunch with my wife. She will be having an operation next weekend.
Enjoy Lee, I hope all goes well next week mate 🙏🙏

Shave of the day?
HC&C Alpine Forest soap and splash.
Merkur 44C.
German Schick blade.
Sawdust Creations brush.
Very nice shave Lee 😎😎😍👍🏻
Balea balm is available online here, but it works out quite expensive.
It's mad isn't Lee, just goes to show how we can get ripped of
Nice one mate, soap looks good, Have a jam shed and put ya feet up. Have a good one

Cheers Paul, you have a great week too mate 👍🏻
Talking of bowls being made for you, someone is 3D printing me one!
Very nice Lee, I look forwards to seeing it 👍🏻
For a quid, that cream is a much better investment than the blades.😂😂
100% lee😁😁
I reckon you want to get that blade swapped out quick smart.
Deffo 👍🏻😎😎
Germaline? Does it smell like that? I used to fake injuries so I could have more of that antiseptic cream.
I used to love that smell Lee 😂😂😂
From what you said, I think I would strongly dislike that cream, as I hate the smell of those little cheap soap bars.
I quite like this scent Lee, sweet soap creamy lol 😂 😂
Well shaved. The wonderful thing about the R41 is that even though it's aggressive, it's still refined.
Spot on Patrick, it's a great shave, happy Wednesday 👍🏻🤣😎😎
Martyr thineself not to the blade that is duff!
Twas crap of the highest order m'lady😩
