How did you adapt the motor to the tractor to be able to use the factory starter? Did you have to have a plate made or is there a place to buy it? I’m looking into doing this same swap myself.
This tractor is so sweet. Its problem is its trans. The 540 only had 5 or 6 more hp than the m and it had transmission praubs. I could see this blowing silage 150ft high and not even breaking a sweat but the h only had the slower PTO. I love this tractor though. What I would really desire is something like this or the old md with a 20psi turbo.
Nothing, Its stock. A lot of tractors had V8 engines, This one in particular was created by International ford got this engine from International through contract
Pinseeker Gaming your post confused me. The guy asked what modifications and you said “none”. Not knowing what’s actually inside, I do know the 7.3 bell housing pattern was either big block Ford, or, without the adapter plate, a pattern to fit an out-sourced trans for Navistar trucks. The Farmall M for its entire production run was neither one of those. You are correct, there were V-8s in tractors, but not that tractor.
