- Ken Hayakawa is a private detective. When his best friend and genius scientist, Goro Asuka, is mysteriously killed, Hayakawa begins on a long journey in search of the culprit. Before dying, Goro had been working on an enhanced suit and a special vehicle for space exploration. In memory of his best friend, Ken takes them and names them the Zubat Suit and the Zubat Car, and vows to use them to avenge Goro. This self-proclaimed wandering hero travels the country with a white guitar in one hand, fighting off the evil organization, Dakker.

This is why I’m always going to be fascinated by Japanese media. The premise of this show combined with the zany way things play out is hilarious and captivating.
The idea of Zubat is so cool, packing heat and keeping his suit around in his guitar.

This show is awesome. It's got weird aspects to it, like a lot of Showa tokusatsu, but this, moreso than other toku I've watched, stays consistently engaging even before the big battles at the end thanks to the neo-western presentation. It's a series that radiates "cool" in every minute, and I hope it grows enough of a following to continue being officially subbed.

I really like how more aged and experienced the actor looked compared to how he looked in previous roles (especially as V3). Definitely gives off the impression Ken Hayakawa is quite the experienced warrior indeed.

I saw this show years ago and absolutely loved it. This will be my first time seeing it subbed though. Thanks, Toei. I hope this new channel is a huge success.
There's plenty of action in this Japanese melodrama; the theme and the hero are somewhat similar to Zorro and a spaghetti western. Despite the fact this series is now 46 years old, it still holds up well today.
In other words, it's dynamic, it's awesome, and always consistent plotwise. Kaiketsu Zabat stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Now that Taro Momoi from Avataro Sentai Donbrothers is basically the best at everything he does in that continuity, bordering on Gary Stu-ness, I would like a formal crossover to happen with Donbrothers and Kaiketsu Zubat just to see the antics happen between him and Ken.

But in all seriousness, I really like this show. Besides Kamen Rider V3, Aoranger, and Big One, I think Kaiketsu Zubat is one Hiroshi Miyauchi's greatest roles. I watched this show when it was posted on UA-cam for a bit, but I never finished it since it got deleted. I really hope that Toei posts the rest of the series in English Subtitles at some point.
