Feels like I started listening a minute ago little did I know 9 had past. I never got the ASMR videos, they just seem cringy and confusing; no tingling sensation. This I can relate to. No weird whispering or annoying crinkles, just... nothingness, it is so relaxing.
Some moments sound louder than others, some quieter. Sometimes I hear a helicopter above my head, or a waterfall in the distance. Sometimes I imagine a busy highway on a cool summer night, or a train going anywhere I can imagine. My mind plays tricks on me. Or am I playing tricks on my mind?
this video has brought me so much comfort for the last couple years. it’s helped me work more productively, and even drowned out the sounds of annoying chatty coworkers at my last full time job. thank you SO much for this, andrea!!!! 🙏
I've listened to fountains, streams, rain, ocean waves, white noise, pink noise, red noise, etc. and a bunch of brown noise tracks. This track is my all-time favorite because it's not HARSH. It successfully drowns out distraction but isn't aurally assaulting! Thanks a bunch for this...it helped when I struggled with maintaining focus toward the end of my degree.
I actually find a small amount of turb adds to the relaxation lol. Like you're in a giant crib floating in the night sky being gently rocked to sleep. Reminds me of this ua-cam.com/video/rxZSM8Vl8pk/v-deo.html haha
Or those pacific flights when the sunlight hits the windows as the plane begins a slight roll, and then everyone lowers their blind but the sun is too bright as it's residual light permeates throughout the cabin explicitly leaving everyone on board in awe.
This is hands down the best brown noise video. I watch it every time I study, everytime I do any work. And, it works like a charm for me! Much better than the more popular white and pink noises. This is perfect.
I live in the country but about half a mile away or so from a pretty major highway. A separating tree line muffles and obstructs the noise. I grew up with this noise. Some of my fondest memories are staring up at the stars whilst the drone of cars endlessly flying by filled the air with this noise. Years later, now, I discovered brown noise. This is that deep tire rumble that soothes me so much. I love this. Thank you.
Been coping with tinnitus in one ear since my 20s, but some 20 years later due to the progression of Menieres syndrome, I now suffer from hearing loss and very aggressive tinnitus in both ears now. Completely debilitated for the last 10 months - I'm a hard nut to crack, so for me to be in a restaurant and break down into tears because of feeling overwhelmed by chatter, music, cutlery clattering etc is a huge worry for my family as well as myself. Done very well up to this point as a busy full time working mum, but need some intervention. I will definitely give this "brown noise" a good go, as it's been recommended by the NHS hearing and balance centre in Leeds. I'm so desperate to bring some change to the raging and relentless high-pitched "scream" and lower pitched grainy pulsating (similar to brown noise) constantly in my head. Thank you for the upload.
funny, I was looking for brown noise for a video game to use as an actual sound, guess it's a multipurpose tool. I mainly use this type of noise for horror games to give a somewhat eerie environment, you just hear this sound while trekking across the halls and rooms of an abandoned home. It works very well, gives a sense of desolationon
Wow I wish I'd discovered this sooner. Whenever I'm watching videos with people just talking to the screen and no background music, my bluetooth speaker tries to go to sleep every brief moment of silence in the speaking, then comes back with an annoying 'pop' and the first syllable of the first words are missing, so it's basically unlistenable. I found that opening another tab with some steady sound turned all the way down to almost muted (just the video volume, not master volume)....that works. But all these years I've been using a pink noise upload, which is fairly detectable (hissy) even when turned down as low as possible. This "smooth brown" is SO smooth I don't even have to fight with the volume bar; just put it anywhere in the lower-end.
Thanks for this. it does a brilliant job of blocking out the noise from my inconsiderate neighbor. When I close my eyes I envision being in a strange inhospitable place where there is a constant sandstorm and I'm nestled in a cocoon shaped hut protected by it.
Now this is something I could listen to. Hearing therapy for hyperaccusis and tinnitus recommend pink noise...ugh what a racket....Id rather have all my tinnitus sounds at once than listen to pink noise. This is much easier and relaxing!!
This with noice cancelling headphones is really comfortable. Not annoying like some sounds can be after a while, this just helps block environmental noise when I just want to relax in silence. This is one of two sounds on youtube that I've found to be both effective and comfortable to my hears long term, and they both work well in the background of a movie as well so I'm not disturbed by my disturbing neighbours for example. The one who came up with these sounds is a life saver.
This really helps me at work, when people are cackling all around. I have misophonia and this recording is just wonderful, it takes me down three dozen notches! thank you!
@Andrew Brown No the condition of Misophonia is very real. People are not pretending to hate sounds. Misophonia sufferers often hate a sound so much that they want to do something violent. Also some sufferers, when they can't escape the sound even break down and start crying. This is a serious condition that's no joke! Just because you don't have it doesn't mean it's fake.
Sorry for the late response. But yea, sounds that trigger mine are people smacking while eating and heavy breathing. Fortunately, I've been able to tough it out and it doesn't completely control me. I just really hope it doesn't get worse.
Its crazy how I can remember listening to this back in my freshman year of high school and I'm still using it in college. Soon I'm going to start feeling the feels whenever I hear this noise.
This helps me focus so well And it keeps me calm, i don't have to deal with the super loud kids in my classroom I have really sensitive ears and this is perfect

I went on a trip with my girlfriend to see her family. At night, she texts me and tells me that her cousin's extreme snoring is driving her crazy, and she begged me to go out into the living room to help her. I played this for her through headphones and stayed next to her until she was relaxed. Months later she told me that it was her favorite memory of me so far.
Hey, I don't know if you'll see this but thanks! This really helps me to calm down and to sleep, and it's the same for my puppy. I hope that you're safe and well! ^_^
Now, more and more...I am experiencing more and more...a constant breaking up....It is thoroughly frustrating, and then some, but, Thanks none the less...THANK YOU!!!...
I have what I think tensor tympani syndrome, which means that sometimes my ear flutters/vibrates inside and it drives me nuts. Amaru Roth I hope you are doing better. I've had Tinnitus for a month now and it drove me insane. Made me lose all hope, it's a high pitched ringing. Hard to sleep. Got extremely depressed and wanted to kill myself. Maybe if you're not better maybe try Celexa or another anti depression med. It's all that worked for me. Now I can kind of get through the day without constant panicking.
Thanks for sharing this video. I use this at low volume as ambient noise in the background in my headphones while using my PC as normal. Sounds like my houses AC only adjustable in volume! Helps block out my man-child neighbor's evening music he likes to share with everyone around him who doesn't want to hear it.

I ran out of my xanax and it's a couple days til I get more. I was lamenting that my daughters noises were illiciting a startle response from me and my friend sent me this. My life is saved. I'm just blasting this, and all her noises are okay now. Thank goodness. I was really struggling there.

Listened to this on headphone as I was falling asleep. There's a music track that is very subtle in the background but it sounds like an orchestra playing some fast paced, dramatic music. Becomes incredibly hard to relax when it becomes all that you can focus on...
I love this brown noise and I will tell you what it sounds like to me. I was in the submarine service for many years and to me this sounds like a fast attack submarine underway as heard from a bunk on the hull side. I have fallen asleep to this many times. The unsmoothed brown noise sounds like a commercial airliner.
There are 3 kids running around screaming and banging toys, plus a group of adults laughing and talking loudly in my small house right now and I can't hear any of it. This is perfect for people, like me, who need to go to sleep in a noisey environment.
I really really enjoy this soundtrack! I’ve listened to a lot of the soundtracks of brown noise but this is the most soothing one I’ve heard. I only wish it was 10hrs long so i could sleep all night long to it. I really liked it ❤😊❤

This is the best colored noise in my opinion. Even better than the highly acclaimed white & pink noises.
I have to agree :)

white & pink noises are for the masses - the brown noise is for the elite class.
You can't say colored. It's African-American noise.

I was in the submarine service for many years and to me this sounds like a fast attack submarine underway as heard from a bunk on the hull side. I have fallen asleep to this many times. The unsmoothed brown noise sounds like a commercial airliner.
This is my goto for studying. Great job!
I had never heard of brown noise until this video. Thank you it's relaxing.
This is amazing. Very relaxing.
