yo as someone that just started learning DOOM this was super helpful. I like that you didn’t over complicate everything like other creators due. Its the first time I watched a doom guide that I felt was super clear and easy to remember.
One tech I’ve discovered but no other Doomfist has talked about is the fact you can aim your knock back cone. For context, the knock back cone is the hitbox that allows Doomfist to hit multiple people with one punch. It is relatively small with standard Rocket Punch but it’s far larger and therefore noticeable with empowered punch. The length of the knock back cone is much longer than the width. (The length is the distance straight ahead of Doomfist while the width is the distance to the side of Doomfist) Like I said earlier, you can actually manipulate this hitbox. To do so, simple do a turn punch WITHOUT canceling the punch itself. Think of it like holding a stick and pointing it forward. Then aim your stick to your left, then your right. Aiming this knock cone works the exact same way. With this, you can artificially INCREASE the width of the knock back cone. Of course you need to actually hit someone with the turn punch for it to work. But doing so allows the AOE of the punch to hit people you shouldn’t be able to hit. Picture this, you’re defending first point Kings Row. The attackers tend to hide behind the wall close to the hotel far out of sight. As a Doom player, you’d find this insulting. How dare they, I know. BUTT 🍑, you have empowered punch. All you need to do is wait for the enemy tank to eventually peak. When he peaks, punch him with a fully charged amped punch, aiming as hard to the right as possible. If you hit the tank, you’ll hit EVERY ONE HIDING BEHIND THAT STUPID WALL. Then they’re either hitting the wall on the other side of the corridor or they’re WAY out of position right next to the red bus. And they’ll all be like “What the FUCK JUST HAPPENED?” And you’ll be mewing like a champ because you just made a play.

(Bap,Kiri, Mercy main) I love having a Doom cause they cause mayhem but sometimes I feel like I cant help Doom sustain enough to create space and get out. For a lot of the super jump stuff you can also just cancel your slam if you aren’t tryna use two cooldowns
