When she is referring to herself, she is talking about her iconic party's for the 4 of july and things like that. like "she had a marvelous time ruin it everything" for the music, the noise. The story she is telling about the house is true. Rebekah Harkness was married to William Hale. After he die, she became the owner of one of the world first and largest multinational company of standard oil fortune, like taylor said. She was one of the wealthies women in america.

Yeah this is pretty much all true story, can you imagine a larger-than-life celebrity moving into that small town. Those celeb July 4 parties were legendary, media and fans showing up looking for a glimpse of her, I'm sure that rubbed people the wrong way.

i am so can not believe this, the title of the song gives me an off kind of impression too. but turned out to be good. as for me, as someone who likes to read novel, this song really gave the vibe of american family saga kind of novel. with twist in there and that ... and the irony-tragedy-hopeless-feeling free leaving everything ruin type of ending served as the outtro. thank you for reacting. 😊

What album are you referring to as a "trash" is it Reputation or Lover? Because if it's Lover I absolutely don't agree with you, I love her LOVER era, and if its the Reputation your referring to, i will say I just like it (not my favourite) compared to her previous albums, but I wouldn't called it a trash, even it's for the "propaganda" or whatnot it is so uncalled for you to say that, we should respect every artist craft, they pour blood, sweat and tears in every crafts/records they're doing. I know each and every one of us are entitled to give opinion, but still it's unfair, you keep sayin that you loved her before REPUTATION era, and now her 8th studio album FOLKLORE is out and top the charts you suddenly "loved" it, seems to me your just jumping on the bandwagon here. Because if it's not you wouldn't be trashtalking her "propaganda". I don't know you and I'm not judging you in any way I'm just giving my opinion, and I'm a proud Swifties. I'm just sayin'. This is the house she owns close to the Kennedy House in Newport, Rhode Island back when she was dating Patrick Schwarzenegger. She threw her 4th of July parties there....Calvin Harris, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively and her other friends descended upon the blue blood town...Old money that doesn't really care for celebrity.
