I used one when i was a bouncer. They are very effective. Impact to forearms and thighs redirected aggressors quickly. Mine has an internal spring and ball bearing combination.
Do you have any experience with DD Whips? I was looking at their blackjacks, and they look nice, but then I saw a video saying they were poor quality so now I'm not sure.
I always wonder how a "handle knot" could be strong enough not to fly off the handle together with the strap?..how?.. Is that knot braided apart from the handle or is it a one piece of leather?.. Your blackjack is beautifully made👍🏻 Awesome Channel too❤
The lead in the end piece is covered with leather in what is called a ‘Turks head’ knot. All one piece, and tightened up once the knot is formed- if you tightened it as you go you wouldn’t be able to make the knot, as you need to get a fid under pretty tight areas to form the knot properly. 👍🇬🇧
He doesn’t have a “website”, catalog, or ordering page per se, BUT he’s on both Facebook and Instagram. He can be found relatively easily on those platforms. 👍

How would 1 of these be made? I really like the braiding but I cant figure out how its done
Could you braid around a spring?
I would like to see a video on how things like this are made.
I thought UA-cam would have at least 1 video of someone making a blackjack, but no. Nothing.
