A sewing cloth tailor tape would work for taking measurements on contours like that.

Helpful video. Just the tool the old sticker off my black Tacoma that was chipped, and am going to replace. I have some sticker residue that won’t come off. You think okay to place new sticker over the residue? Also, is that sticker white letters with gray borders?

Yeah my sticker comes off OEM 1st gen Tacoma grey white sticker. No use gooe off from Home Depot or clay bar it will remove the sticker residue
