- I decided to remove the factory side decals and replace them with smaller, aftermarket decals from ebay. You can easily search and find them. No link provided because ebay links quickly expire. (Toyota tacoma TRD 4x4 Off Road bed decal sticker tundra racing development Sport) --- search this.
When you stood back, i noticed the cranberry red colour worked better with your side marker on your tails then if it was a brighter red you were hoping for. I like it man, its kinda stealth like. Cheers from Canada
Quick tip everyone, DO NOT use the hair drier. Learn from my mistake and this guys. It’s the heat that leaves the residue. Although it might be a bit more difficult to take off the decal it’ll save you the residue headache, and don’t attempt to put the decal over the residue it’ll leave bumps on the new one.
I took my decal off of my 2020 trd offroad. I like the clean look.
I think it looks great, matche rear light Marker indicator. Nice looking mod!
Took mine off day one on the way home from the dealership, I went to a self car wash and held the pressure washer right up to it at an angle, started blowing it up at the corner then I was able to grab it and pull the rest of it off.
I guess I waited too long

the muted red looks way better than a bright bold red, would look, tight truck

I originally thought like you, that I was expecting vibrant bold.... But now I see it I like it better that way, it looks factory like it was meant to be like smoked out muted look.

If you live in a very sunny area those rub on decals will bake into your paint. We’ve had to sand them down.
Did the same on my ‘17 DCSB Tundra. Factory light grey sticker on dark grey truck. Went with the OEM black/red stickers and I can say they’re more bold compared to these aftermarket. However, I do like how clean and seamless these are and how they kinda blend is cool. Weird to me this color option doesn’t come on these trucks stock. Everyone I know that’s seen mine ALWAYS says the black/red looks way better. Nicely done. Good video.

Sorry for the question but, do I have to wax the area before applying the new decal or it doesn’t matter?
No, don’t wax it. The decal won’t stick long if you wax it.

I’m sorry I don’t know the size. I no longer own the truck. It was about 2/3 the size of the OEM decal.

Next time use cooking oil and that thing comes right off
Looks too small and looks like it's already old and faded, but that's just my opinion, its your truck if you like it that's all that matters
