Are you sure cyclosporin cannot be given during pregnancy? When I researched it i saw nothing supporting this claim?
I am far from medicine but can someone explain please why Diphenhydramine is used after Epinephrine? Diphenhydramine lowers blood pressure. Please halp ;)

What about tacrolimus ?
Hydroxychloroquine is not an immunosuppressant. It is an antiparasitic that has antiinflammatory and *immunomodulating* actions that are useful in treating some autoimmune disorders. And in line with its not being suppressive to the immune system, there are no neutropenic precautions recommended for those taking hydroxychloroquine, as well as no risk of bone marrow suppression.
Nope! Hydroxychloroquine is an immunosuppressant. It makes sense that it can help treat autoimmune disorders because in autoimmune disorders, the immune system is attacking the body, so an immunosuppressant could help suppress the immune system to decrease its harm to the rest of the body.
@@thatweirdscienceguy9880 Immunosuppressant use requires neutropenic precautions. Hydroxychloroquine use does not require neutropenic precautions to be put in place, as it is not immunosupressant. Do you know what neutropenic precautions are?
Hydroxychloroquine has some immunomodulatory and antiinflammatory effects, causing it to be useful in autoimmune disorders.
@@heidih3048 Yes, I'm aware of what neutropenic precautions are. Hydroxychloroquine is an immunosuppressant, but it's not as drastic of an immunosuppressant as say Methotrexate or some other meds. As far as what you said in the second part, it also works to treat autoimmune disorders because it suppresses the immune system enough to limit the immune system's attacks on the rest of the body. Just because it may be helpful as an anti-inflammatory doesn't mean that immunosuppression won't occur.
@@thatweirdscienceguy9880 I was pointing out the distinction between an immunomodulator (which is what hydroxychloroquine is) and an immunosuppressant. Hydroxychloroquine is best described as an immunomodulator, not an immunosuppressant.
Scholarly medical resources describe HCQ as immunomodulatory, and do not classify it as an immunosuppressant.
