    Simple nursing crew have been very helpful during my preparation for Nclex. I subscribed to their website and went through the quiz bank and videos. The videos are very easy to understand and makes everything easy. The fluid & Electrolytes video was one of the best. I have had the subscription for 2 months and last Saturday was my second attempt and i passed. Thank you nurse Mike & crew. I have already submitted my review and gave 5*****

    Just printed fluid & electrolyte cheat sheet showing potassium range of 3.0 to 3.5, not 3.5 to 5.0 mEq/L. Do you know if the video or the Simple Nursing cheat sheet is correct?

    Hello I saw a video (Electrolyte practice test question) in my simple nursing account it says: Top 3 signs of dehydration is Hypotension, Weak pulses and high lab values. Dehydration shows weak pulses?? I SEARCHED UP EVERYTHING ON GOOGLE IT SAYS RAPID HEARTBEAT High heart rate but low blood pressure. IDK, I got confused. I swear simple nursing will not have a mistake for a common sign and symptoms :(

      @SimpleNursing  5 місяців тому +1

      Hi there!
      You are correct about the top 3 signs of Dehydration, however pulses are considered "fast, weak & thready". Weak simply means difficult to feel! Hope that helps.

    Becoming rosy doesn't mean you've consumed salt at all...it is a reflex too much like goosebumps that may last for a few minutes or comes and goes with heat and humidity. So body temperature and a persons reflex called a flush decides if you will become rosy or not...it is more often encountered with nutritional disorders too, low caloric intake too...and the O so wonderful weather...extremes and encoutering those extremes too can make a person blush, flush or become rosy... Yah, I understand what you mean, you're drawing an analogy...but do be aware, people flush.

    If aldosterone is too a weightloss hormone, then what happens when you block it to retain water...you also decrease fat metabolism. Remember, the body will always try to washout excess fat, because fat retains water...if fat retains water and aldosterone has the capacity to remove that water...then you develop resistant fat cells? I'm just trying to rationalize a dead horse.

      Hormones work on a cycle...so what happens if that cycle is skipped.
