    Love your take on organizing your brain, thoughts and ideas! I also have ADHD and I'm trying for years now to find a system that works for my brain (or others with Neurodivergent Brains). I'd love to hear more in detail about your system and how exactly it help and how you use it. It's could help a lot of people I'm sure! ✨

    HI Tony, I liked your video. I too have been jouranlizing everyday but as an analouge to app's writinging template. From the very start I started putting down thoughts, ideas, concepts, stragegies, things I want to say to peoole but who are not in front of me. By exerrnalizing the tought or notion it soothes my anxiety over not being able to remember it. Now with that lesser renumueration occuring in my brain, it frees up the bandwidth (or working memory as you put it, also like the analogy to Computer RAM) to focuse on. This decluttered my mentalscape and reduced my anxiety.

      Love to hear it! Yes the constant rumination is a huge source of anxiety. Very well said!

    Subscribed because my draw to Zettelkasten (years old, but not yet effectively acted upon) is comprised simultaneously of my draw to the unhealthy cultural zeitgeist of productivity bros, as well as the feeling you described to the T in the intro. If I could keep half the thoughts I have throughout the day, I can only imagine what learning I might be able to do with them, and how much better I'd feel about my life and how I live it. =)

    It's eerie, but your PKM system is almost like mine! We ND folks do think alike haha. I have a notebook I carry around with me now, except that i keep losing them. HILARIOUS.

    As someone with ADHD the hair on the mic made it really hard to focus on what you're saying lol

      Lol! Good eye, I didn’t even catch that. That’s what happens when you live with a golden retriever, hair ends up in the strangest spots. Thanks for watching anyway!

    You include both "views" and "maps" in your vault. How are these different?

    • @TonyRamella
      @TonyRamella  7 місяців тому

      Maps are indexes to navigate your zettelkasten. Views are for dataview notes that organize and display other notes outside your zettelkasten. The distinction is to not mix temporary or personal notes into your zettelkasten which is for knowledge development and creative output generation.

      @@TonyRamella That makes sense. I figured you had a good reason for having both, but didn't notice that the views and maps addressed different parts of the vault. Thanks for the clarification.
