With another day in Dubai ahead of me, I linked back up with my friend Ruzaina to explore the oldest part of the city. Come with me as I go on an amazing Indian street food tour of Old Dubai, UAE!
Old Dubai is the oldest souk in Dubai and is the place to get spices, materials, and street food. We started our adventure on the banks of Dubai Creek. Immediately, we came across a market!
👕 DAVID’S BEEN HERE MERCH: teespring.com/stores/davids-b...
We made it to the Grand Souq - Deira, where we saw vendors selling souvenirs. We stopped at Jafer Biman Ali Cafateria, which sells fresh juices. It’s 65 years old and sells the original Iranian falooda!
The falooda contains ice, rose syrup, vermicelli noodles, and lime juice. It was so cold and refreshing. I loved the rose and the thin noodles!
Then, I got a fresh coconut filled with coconut water. It was ice cold and really cooled me down!
Next door, we met vendors at a spice shop selling saffron, cinnamon, and Dubai mix. I tried some amazing saffron water and bought some camel figurines for my nephews. They even gave me me a camel chocolate!
We walked past the herbs souq and past more spice and sweets vendor, and others selling lamps, clothing, and jewelry.
In the Gold Souq, we saw rows and rows of gold and jewelry vendors. We some some ancient-style gold bracelets and wedding attire for women. All of the stores were busy!
We saw a map of the old town before stopping at Tea Point Al kabayel, a tea shop that sells snacks like samosas, cakes, and lots of fried dishes.
There, we got some samosas, which are made fresh every morning. The samosas were crispy and full of peas, spices, and onion. They were the perfect combination with the chai!
Then, we headed back through the market and across the creek on a ferry to the other side of Old Dubai. It takes about 5 minutes to cross. It was a beautiful way to see the city!
On the other side, we passed a vendor selling sugarcane juice and past tea shops and street vendors. We got some onion pakoras from a subscriber of mine who watched my Kerala videos!
They gave us a lot of pakoras, which were crunchy and tasted amazing with the mint-coriander chutney. I loved how hot and fresh they were. It was so yummy and satisfying!
Next, we met some more fans and stopped inside a fan’s shop selling lots of clothing. They were all so nice, but the shops were starting to close.
At another shop, we got some pani puri and another onion pakora. It was a little spicy and had some chilies in it. It contained a spicy and sweet chili chutney and was like a cross between tamarind and sriracha!
The vendors here were so fun and friendly. Touring the area took me back to India. Then, we watched some guys play some cricket. They even let me play a bit!
Then, we arrived at Al Rajwa Restaurant, where they were making some pav bhaji. We ordered some chai and vada pav.
The vada pav came with mint/green chili chutney, “gunpowder”, and tamarind chutney. The potato fritter inside was really nice, and the addition of the sweet, spicy, and tangy chutneys really made it!
The chai was rich in cardamom and was a little different from others I’d ever tried!
Next was a shop called Friendship Ties Bakery selling Afghan rotis. There were lots of guys rolling them out and baking them.
The one we ordered was thin and crisp, filled with cheese, and reminded me of Armenian lavash. It was similar to Amritsari kulcha. The light layers were fantastic!
Then, at Mini Punjab Restaurant, we had more pani puri at a live pani puri station! They were drowning in pani and were almost like floating pani puri! They were so good! I finished by drinking the pani.

India ke nam pe aur kitne views le ga bhai bus kar le
Indian dudes make him a lot of UA-cam money
@@vk-s you think it's only him? He maybe genuinely liking Indian food. I have seen other whites who literally try to capture the sentiments of Indians and then never even bother to look back or message. Go watch Luke Damant. He started off with India his first target for getting viewers , upgraded to Pakistan and srilanka where he has got massive amounts of subscribers. Also Dale Philip.
But one thing is for sure most whites like the Indian as well as Pakistani spice blend in various dishes and that's the reason they come back for the food. Watch other countries food as well and if you could taste it and see, it's more on the blander or sweeter side. Watch Joe Bruner comment about his food likes, he mentions in one of his videos as far as taste palletes go he likes Indian and Pakistani food but when it comes to organic and healthy he prefers Thailand food.
@Annie Thomas
OK.
Just take it easy there.
Indian food in India: 22 years
North Indian food in 26 countries including Pakistan, Afghanistan): 12 years
Ever corner of India, several times
So, not such long explanation was required.
Thanks so much
Lol! That’s fake saffron. Actual saffron takes some time to release colour.
dude, she is lying... 60 years back, hardly any money , Petro Dollar has given them money...their old currency was Indian Rupee before 1961 .. when you suddenly get money .. you say, its oldentime culture... everything raises & fals...
Hey Brother did you get a divorce? Only asking cause I've noticed most of your videos lately you aren't wearing your wedding band.
David hates her. She must be pretending to be somebody else.
Erase. She must be pretending to be other person.
Try some other cuisine also now really tired of watching same Indian Content....
