Pretty soon we'll be playing the games that kid from the Wild Gunman arcade machine in Back to the Future 2 was referring to: "You mean you have to use your hands? That's like a baby's toy!"
Haha I was just watching that on Netflix!
@@CodyRallMD 😆
I wonder whether they still need cameras on the glasses if the device can be controlled with a wristband anyway
My guess is that they will do both. But I'm not sure!
Cameras are used for AR where the device tracks and scans the real world room for virtual objects or other features to present, react, and interact around
I’m interested to see how cameras on glasses and (hopefully) AirPods will be accepted in society. Personally I’m okay with the because there’s already so much precedent with phones and other devices.
Wow, this looks super impressive! Didn’t realize the Mudra Band is already out. Definitely feels like next-level control tech! Thanks for sharing
Yeah it's super cool!
Crazy that this technology already exists!!! It’s such a cool product. Great video!
I know right? It's been right under everyone's nose :-)
Awesome episode on cutting edge tech with guest going deep about it. Neuro-controlers are here to stay and effect games as you mentioned (truth or dare never sounded more fun), and UX man-machine generally
Thanks for watching!
I think your mics might be too close to each other and cross picking up each other sound. I can hear like double voice fraction of a second delayed. Maybe consider adding mic shield to reflect voice back not towards another mic. Thank you for awesome content love your channel I am a fellow biohacker as well.
Amazing Technology!! great episode Cody!!!
Much appreciated!
It’s absolutely amazing
Great band! use it all the time
That's really cool! What do you like to use it for?
Absolutely an amazing technology ❤
Mudra is going to change the way we’ll communicate with all digital interfaces
I totally agree!
It’s awesome!
So smart !!!
Yeah it's really cool!
Cody, I like your videos and watched this entire video. Unfortunately, I see no reason to buy this technology. Maybe there is a very small market of disabled people who cannot use a mouse or game controller who could benefit from it. Maybe there will be an application in the future that will be important to me that would require it but the guest seems to be presenting something he thinks is cool without explaining why I should want it.
Thanks for the feedback Andy! We did discuss disabled persons but I think I must have cut that part out to make the video a digestible length. Perhaps that was a mistake. I think this will become more prominent as AR experiences come along. Meanwhile, I think some hobbyists will enjoy it for video game play. I plan on making some micro-movement "video game" videos with it. Do you think people would be interested in that?
@@CodyRallMD I can only speak for myself. I think much of your work is great in that it helps people find technology that could potentially make their lives better. When you talk about Muse, Mendi or SensAi, I see how those can apply to my life beyond being cool. Tech in general has a tendency of venturing off to just being "cool". I think you would be doing a favor to your guest in the video to press him on explaining the value of his product. I get the sense that he has not thought about it enough. In order for him to have a profitable company, he needs to develop a product his customer will want and the most productive thing he could do as a leader of his company is to find multiple reasons customers will want it beyond the tiny market of disabled people.
Totally agree
This world needs Olympic-level meditators.
In a future where brain-computer interfaces control robots, having a precise mind will be a key differentiating skill.
Why only Apple Watch?
The Mudra Band is for Apple Watch but the Mudra Link can work with "all ecosystems"
make more long podcast , please❤
I appreciate that!
Maybe this device could help someone learn a visual-motor task faster than average, faster than baseline. Forgive me here: I'm starting from my own baseline here, that of curiosity coupled with ignorance, hopefully correctable ignorance.
That's a good idea!
Looks amazing! What a significant technology 🙏😍
Yeah it's super cool!
it is cool but it looks that lag time is a problem
Not much of a lag from what I can see, but good point
Mudra is a clever name. I wonder if the vision pro api and hardware allows adequate interface
The future is here!
Agreed!
Does the band combine (fuse) the neural data with the Apple Watches accelerometer and gyroscope? I am not sure if Apple’s WatchOS SDK provides that data - but it would seem to make sense that combing this data could provide more context for the machine learning - and in some use cases more practical then only relying on neural patterns. Thoughts?
Yea but you look exactly the way Mark said he didn't want to look when using AR. Do this video again with your arms down instead of lifting it up.
Good idea! It's definitely doable. Hard to film with arm at my side but I can do it!
Anything but buttons. I mean, they'll track 5D temporal eye neurons instead of giving us tactical buttons. A $10 keyboard can beat most of these AR bS
Apple will be silly not to buy them quick.
its been out for a year? feels like i missed out
Sometimes it takes a little while for things to catch on!
Fun!
Glad you liked it!
Wowwwww
Agreed!
