Im a duke 250 owner and its more refined than rtr 310..please note that its rough only when new upto 1000kms after the rpm unlock its butter smooth..also its needs xp95 petrol only[given in manual]
I Rode brand new rtr 310 in Thailand at media launch. It's more refined than rr310 and more refined than duke 390. Duke 250 with this New design is slightly rough. Older duke 250 was very refined but not this one.
TVS BAJAJ And RE should work on their service centers and dealership. The machines they are making is top notch but the real issue is lack of experienced workers in the service centers that can work on these expensive and new age motorcycles.
When I first saw the new Gen dukes.. I absolutely loved their shape ans silhouette. I really wanted KTM to provide a better colour combo that does justice to this bike. And man did they deliver. Looks much better than the apache in my opinion.
With similar price, rtr has upper hand on every aspects. Unless If someone is not into ktm brand, rtr makes much more sense to buy. Also not so sure but D250 has single over head cam I believe

I have test ridden both in the last 3 months for my cousin, and I found the Duke being more refined in the midrange 3rd gear 40-60, while rtr was not so much smooth, maybe the test unit was faulty but tractability on the Duke was also ok 1st gear at 9 doesn't lug or do Engine knocking.
Test rides changes everything. I wanted to buy Classic 350, test rode it to realise it was no different from my Avenger 😂. Riding duke gave me a sense of excitement. Nothing can beat that. No doubt RTR 310 is a good bike, but Duke is amazing.
Now the duke 250 comes with a discounted price of Rs 225000 ex show room which makes it a lot more affordable and attractive choice compared to rtr 310 Rs 272000 ex showroom.
Anyone buying rtr should wait few months as it should be getting an update with less buzz and maybe some elements like transparent engine cover like in rr 310
At this point rtr 310 feels the better deal anyday, duke heats a lot in rough terrain conditions and in traffic and in muddy conditions it splashes the mud right in your leg and shoes.. Power is good enough and breaking is better but lacks the quick shifter..
The value of a product should be talked only when post sales service is atleast good in my opinion because you get more value when you spend less amount of money on your bike for service as you stay long with your machine.

Take a test ride. Many comments are based on inputs from reviews or the 1st iteration batches (IMO it was never that bad as many claimed. Don't understand people expecting butter smooth high power & high compression single). Anyhow TVS has made few changes and at 70-80 you won't feel vibration.
Duke looks very nice❤❤❤. But rtr looks like, monster smashed the head with two hands to make small head and kicked the seat from backside to shorten seat and blowed the cylinder until it becomes hallow. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 😂😂

DUKE - 250 is cleaner than 390. RTR-310 needs to up the power and design elements... RTR needs a generation upgrade to match DUKE in the present state of aesthetics...

That was resolved months back. New batches are not so viby. Old ones are also resolved via camps. Check the new Autocar review.
Duke 250 (LC4C) isn't refined at all. I felt vibrations on the handlebar at only 50 km/h!
Even the N250 was more refined than that!
