This film is a truly inspiring insight into how adventures can give you so much , companionship, exploration, adventure, high’s,low’s but ultimately an experience that money cannot buy& most will never gain unless you take that step into another world. Thank you guys for an honest , real and authentic insight to your journey 🙌🏼🏍️⛺️😎
This was fantastic to watch. Loved the format and the real talking. Travel is hard.... But when you get there it's epic. Some bits you enjoy some you don't. But all of it is an adventure.
Ah man thanks, yeah exactly this, it’s easy to show the good bits when life is going easy but sometimes it’s simply hard going right. But like you say, the whole experience is an adventure! Ride safe 😎
Huge fan of you guys! Watched basically everything you ever done and was massively starstruck when watching your second presentation at the Overland Event this year (Chloe and I were on at the same time as your workshop sadly so missed that) and it was just epic. Sorry I didn’t get a chance to say how great it was afterwards but keep doing what you do, you guys are awesome :) much love
Hey James great to hear from you, ah wow that’s such an amazing compliment, thank you 🙏 Such a shame we were both billed at the same time as Marc and I actually wanted to come and listen to you and Chloe talk, being in a similar position we wanted to pick up some tips ourselves. Maybe we could do that at our festival next year? If you can drop us an email at lighweightadv@gmail.com we would love to chat to you about speaking at the lightweight adventure festival 😁 Speak soon buddy, ride safe
Wow, what an epic adventure and brilliant watch. That was beautifully put together and edited, fair play lads, hats off to to you. The more I see of Bosnia, the more I want to go and see it, it seems stunning. You had some really shitty luck with the weather there, but I’m sure you still made loads of memories and that’s what it’s all about 👏🏼
Ah awesome, thanks buddy 👍 yes, Bosnia is simply beautiful and certainly a place that should feature on your list, the weather was awful but like you say we still had a great trip. 👍
Great content - like always. 25:40 - no excuses! What I would add to your stories, is some kind of pointing from map/Maps for understanding where you were riding. For example: planned leg vs. actual leg, camping & accommodations, nice food, no-gos etc. Cheers!
Hey, thanks guys for a great video. I enjoyed watching it.I assume the couple you met are Belgian. They sang in Dutch. I'm also Belgian and that's why I thought it would be nice to give you the translation of this song . "My soul is on a journey, I fly like a bird with all winds. I feel how beautifully everything is in balance, You are free as a bird in the air, dance along on the waves of the sea, peaks and valleys come and go. You are free as a bird in the air. Marvel at the sun and the moon. and how the stars line up perfectly in the sky. We came to earth for our soul journey and we have arrived in paradise. Feel free like a bird in the sky, or like a seagull on the waves of the sea. You are free as a bird in the sky, as a seagull on the waves of the sea." BTW; I also ride a Crf Rally and went on my first trip to the Italien Alps,.... such an amazing experience.
Hey Steven, this is so cool, thanks for this. They’re some lovely lyrics, it’s nice to have them translated. Ahh that’s mega, I hope you enjoyed it, where next?
@@lightweightadv Hey, glad you appreciated it. I don't know where to go for my next trip. That's why I search at youtube.....finding inspiration for future motorcycle travels. Keep up the good work.
A great film guys … was it really only a week ago we watched the premier munching outstanding pizzas in the pouring rain ? Looking forward to the next trip, whenever and wherever that might be. Keep them coming ! 👍🏻🍻🍕⛈️
I know, certainly seems like longer doesn’t it, I think we’ve just about recovered 😂 Not sure where the next one will be but there will certainly be a film of it 😎 Thanks buddy
I really enjoyed this video reliving some of the places I have ridden. I rode from UK to- Azerbaijan and forgot my V5 and had the same problem on the Bosnia - Montenegro border as you did. I had a PDF scanned copy on my phone and they wouldn't let me in. I sat there for about an hour and eventually they let me cross. It was no problem in Albania and I just rode straight in with just a glance at my passport. Turkey was a whole load of problems , but three hours later I made it into the country.
When did you go? A mate and I went over to Bosnia at the beginning of June. We took the train through the mountain because Google told us to! We had a brilliant time and missed most of the rain but not all of it. I'll most certainly be going back over, so much more to see and do.
Thanks for the shorter episodes and this longer version. A great trip and really explained that sort of adventure. I missed speaking to you at this year’s gathering, and came away early (just too wet for my gear!). Glad to see the “prop” came in handy on your trip. I dropped off two more at the gate this year. Pip-pip! Les
Hey Les, thanks buddy, we got the stands, so kind of you. Yes it certainly was a little wet this year that’s for sure 😂 Thanks for all the support, ride safe mate 😎
Really enjoyed this, doing a similar trip in June. Did you require or were you asked for any additional insurance for riding in Bosnia and the rest of the Balkans? Cheers
We didn't need it. Both of our insurance policies covered us, so be sure to check the small print. Make sure you take your original vehicle documents! 😂
Was crossing from Croatia to Bosnia with no green card. Tried to bluff it initially then the guard suggested 50euro, Brought me into his office and indicated the cameras so, I had to time it passing the dosh. Backsheesh
@@lightweightadv l'm not surprised because in the Uk spares and knowledge are scarce. A running Xt600 from the same era might have been a better basis for your goal. If you had ridden a good TT however it probably would have weaved its spell on you.
@@lightweightadv "getting spares was far too difficult *for its own good*" ??!An odd choice of phrase. I understand your channels other adventures has kept you rather busy.

Excellent film, really enjoyed watching thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks, we appreciate it
Enjoyed that lads. Ace 👍

Loved it. Like you, if you don't have rigid plan good stuff just seems to happen.
100% 👌🏻
Just to see people ride motorcycles while others are ski alongside. Boggling. Just great.

Ah cool, yeah a few people have said the train is really good. We went in April/May, probably not the best timing for weather really 😂

Whats the sheepskins ? Are they made specially. Love the videos 😎
Hey, nope, just a sheepskin, cut to fit and held on with a bungy chord 👌🏻
great film :-) what time of the year did you make the trip ?
Thank you so much. We went in May. It was unseasonably wet 😂
Great. How are the adventure spec shirts?
We really like them. One of the first bits of kit I go for when I'm on my bike
Croatia and Bosnia offer some truly magnificent adventure trails. I hope they stay a well hidden secret, sort of, for a while more.
They certainly are one of the best kept secrets of Europe 😎

We did Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania earlier this year only rode trails you guys have missed so much, adventure road riders
" only rode trails"
Was crossing from Croatia to Bosnia with no green card. Tried to bluff it initially then the guard suggested 50euro, Brought me into his office and indicated the cameras so, I had to time it passing the dosh. Backsheesh
That's interesting. We weren't checked once going from Croatia to Bosnia. Well both be prepared a bit better next time though, eh 😂
Pretty dam stupid riding without insurance
seems to be a lot of standing on the foot pegs 😉
We know a guy who made it look cool once, just trying to be that guy ya know 😉
The best plan is always not to have a plan.
Absolutely 👍
Are you going to sort the TT600 soon?
Hate to tell you this but the TT is gone. Will explain all in a vid in the next week or so

100% agreed, I really wanted to ride it, but getting spares was far too difficult for it's own good 😕

32:58 "Thank you for last night". I wonder what that meant. :)
