@Daniel Parker naw, not the engine. This m3 has a meatier, lower rumble to it, like American v8s. The real gtr racecar had a higher pitched, higher revving v8. The transmission sound tho is pure secks.
I friggin love the high pitch hissing that comes from the car along with the roaring of the engine. I literally bought a better engine, but put it away and returned to this one just becase the sound brought joy to my gameplay

The original sound from 2005 was most wanted and carbon has to sound from the original racing version of M3 called M3 GTR that competes under the FIA GT championship. if u say the sound isn't the same as i6 you are completely wrong because the M3 GTR always used V8, not i6 engine. also if u hear something like a flute sound when u reach 5th gear that is called straight cut gears that mostly applied on GT racing cars, u can hear it on every car, especially FIA GT3 race cars. so it's obvious why they choose i6 engine sound because it's from M3 streetcars, not M3 GTR race cars

@@zdendas13v2 actually mw is lot more realistic, carbon uses a different engine sound file for the revs and the sound is off by minus 2000~ rpm it revs really low, on most wanted you can clearly hear the engine going up to 8500, the louder whine don't make the sound more realistic on carbon

The sound from NFS MW 2005 is nostalgic and very relaxing, but this one still is incredibly on point to the real life sound of this car. Both are awesome.
In the newer nfs games this car lost it's legendary sound, but i have to admit it still sounds good. The sad thing is when you change engine, it loses its whine 😢
I miss the old BMW sounds honestly with its screaming alien engine and it's demon transmission and the way the turbo squealed like the car was gonna explode 😂
Why every game that has the M3 GTR has to be refered to NFS MW 2005? Like just because it got more popularity there doesn't mean it was the first racing game to introduce it. God damn it!

I prefer the whine from nfs mw but the motor sound is great, the sence of speed and agression is inmense, i love it, it feels a bit more faster than in nfsmw

The wini sound of this car comes from transmission being sequential unlike normal transmission which is gated.
Finally anyone understands that this sound doesn't come from turbo or supercharger as some people still believing till today which is ridiculous.
It's not really the fact that it's sequential, but the fact that it uses straight cut gears, which make more noise

Trust me. Stock sounds much better. Mainly because of the slow shifting you'll get eargasm at 7000 rpm when the supercharger is at its peak decibels
