You know, it's amazing and sad just how many UA-cam channel "creators" have resorted to clickbait in their quest for fame and fortune...or just to stroke their fragile egos with even a modest amount of subscribers...of which, until tonight, I was one. With the somewhat libelous and bold thumbnail wording, and then the "teaser" and somewhat slanderous intro to this video--implying that an illegal substance was used by one of the contestants before/during this game, I have now unsubscribed and won't be back. Previously, in the three videos I've watched, it was entertaining enough, and I could endure the bad Paul Shaffer impression because of the chess games; however, I don't patronize unethical people or their channels. It's a real scumbag move!
While you’re not wrong that clickbait sucks, your reaction is way over the top. Everyone does it, nowadays, because if you don’t, you’re left behind. “Unethical” is a bit much, in my opinion. Good luck finding a channel without clickbait.
@@i.ehrenfest349 I leave when the bait is this disingenuous and I still have hundreds of channels I have subbed to including a few chess channels. So, no, every other channel is not doing it and certainly not this extreme. I would normally have watched this later, but the bait tricked me into clicking it right away. Excuses for deceitful behavior are just that.
@@i.ehrenfest349 Are you saying that it's just not possible, or at least feasible, to be successful on UA-cam without resorting to clickbait stategies?
Your clickbait thumbnail title went too far. You went full clickbait. Never go full clickbait. Rather than sub I am hovering over the unsub button right now
@ At this point, I think that may very well be the case, yes. In time it may change as everyone gets more and more desensitised to the clickbaiting. But right now, if you don’t do it, you’ll end up at the bottom of the pile.
Ding cheated: he intended to draw the classic games so he could win at rapid. Ding lied: he said he did not know he was ahead in games he sent to draws. Ding is bad for chess. “There will be no game tomorrow,” his comment at the final press conference says what he was aiming for.
@squareonechess6939 I've heard about it but I don't think there's anyone living who's trying it anymore. Total lost cause against a dedicated attacker.
Your chess analysis is always interesting to watch/listen.. but there is something I spotted.. those were technical errors the players made, but at their level of playing chess, everything is mental (that is beyond technicallity) and I just saw 2 guys ready to screw their opponents ideas within a tight game till the very end. At the end Hikaro was just bored of having to defend himself from a kid.. so he decided to attack.. but miserably blundered.
How many Americans drink a coffee to wake up? People who shoot competitively do the opposite. Funny you mention Agincourt. I collect antique English longbows (all pre 1930 a couple 18th century) and have several dozen. I also have a 700 year old bodkin point from that time and an original plate of archers attacking a castle made by a Gutenberg press. As everyone knows, the English were outnumbered yet won due mainly to the longbow. I don't hate on any reference, of course. I really like your videos. You are creeping into my agadmator time.
Wtf is this title dude and a preview
Me too I have an expresso before every game I play , but never I play that well !

I appreciate your content and presentation style.
I’d have done much better. With my famous Dunning-Kruger opening.

U didn't mention their affinity to gractal though... It's the Achilles heel to most losses.

I am very skeptical that use of a stimulant could make much difference in the world of chess.
Unsubscribing from the sunglasses and click bait.
He is blind
Scam channel 😞
you need some stimulant to reduce the pain
